It's Your Birthday

Hello friends, today at The  Sisterhood of Crafters our new
challenge theme is 'Shades of Green'.

This year I have vowed to use up some of my already
'spare parts' let alone some of my scraps, and things I have had around for a
VERY long time.  This puts a little hindrance on what I usually create
but it is also something that needs to be done.

That is where this card originates from...
The embossed background was already done and mounted on a card base,
so I added a scrap of designer paper and sentiment (Stampendous)
stamped on a die cut label along with greens from my already
created stash of flowers and greens.  I die cut a small bow to finish.

Our challenge at The Sisterhood is now a month long
challenge, so plenty of time for you to come and join us!

Lucky

Hello friends, it's time for our challenge today at
Can You Handle The Pressure where it is all about using your
embossing folders.  Wet embossing is permitted by you MUST use an embossing folder.
We have an OPTIONAL twist of LUCKY/ST PATRICK"S
but we are an anything goes with the use of the folder.

I used my Darice St Patrick's Shamrock folder on
coredinations Core Color paper (do they still make that?) and sanded it.
I couldn't find my sanding block so had to use a sand file so didn't
get as smooth a sand as I had wanted.  I die cut two shamrocks and layered
one on the other and a Tutti designs 'lucky' sentiment.

Hope to see YOU over at Can You Handle The Pressure!!

Good Luck

Hello friends, at Simply Clean & Simple
our OPTIONAL theme is
Shades Of Green.
We are an anything goes CAS challenge and our theme is always OPTIONAL!

Being in the design team I of course went with the option.
I die cut a Cheapo Dies shamrock but just used the negative of the cut
and placing a Doodlebug lots of luck paper underneath, easy peasy!

The good luck sentiment is also from Cheapo dies that I die cut
three times and stacked.

Come on over to the Simply Clean & Simple
challenge blog and have some CAS fun with us!

Word Power March 2025

Hello friends, we are into March already and it excites me
as it means Spring is just around the corner and I am so ready!
It also brings us to a new monthly challenge at Word Power
where your 'words' take center stage!!

We are an anything goes challenge with no themes,
we just want to see those BIG words or sentiments!

For my card I did a simple St Patrick's Day card!
I used Doodlebug lot's of luck for my main paper,
a die cut circle with a Cheapo die word 'LUCKY'
that I also cut in black for a slight shadow!
I thought about adding some bling but decided to
keep it 'mailable' friendly!

Come on over and join us at Word Power,
it's a great place to show off those BIG words and/or sentiments!

Going Green At Double D

Hello friends, we are Going Green at Double D
which is our theme for the next couple of weeks.
We have a very green mood board for inspiration
but you can create anything as long as it is GREEN!

I created a fun birthday card for March using the ever popular
Waffle Flower postage die and their Lucky Stencil trio.
I used various Altenew and Hero Art inks along with a Galaxy Gold Brilliance ink.
The sentiments are also Waffle Flower Lucky and  Postage Collage stamp sets.

Come on over to Double D and have some GREEN fun with us,
and check out all the beautiful inspiration from the Design Teams!

Stencil Fun March 2025: Splatters

Hello friends, at Stencil Fun this month we have an
OPTIONAL theme and it is
SPLATTERS
meaning we want to see either ink or paint splatters!
But of course it is optional and you can make anything as long
as you have used a stencil.

I used a Spellbinders stencil that I received when I belonged to their stencil club
from January 24, Lively Floral.  I have used this once before and thought it
was time I put it to use again!

I used a Martha Stewart glitter paint that I have had forever, I am surprised it
was still any good I've had it so long!  I watered it down and then spattered
my stenciled card with it.  Sorry it doesn't show up better but it's
there and has a lot of sparkle on it, and nice thing is the glitter stays put since it's
part of the paint!!  I used all Altenew inks for the stenciling.
The sentiment is The Ton Easy Expressions.

Showing some of the sparkle-y splatters

For my anything goes card I used one of 3 that I stenciled from
Taylored Espressions In The Garden set.   I've already shown one HERE
and another will appear down the road later.
The big bow sentiment is The Greetery Put A Bow On It.
And then because I couldn't help myself I added a few
Pink Fresh Studio gems on it.

We would love to have you join us at our Stencil Fun challenge!

Triple B March 2025 Challenge

Hello friends, we are seeing green at Triple B with our inspiration tile
but it is an OPTIONAL color
and you can create anything as long as it is butterflies, blooms and/or birds.

For my card I focused on butterflies using a favorite Butterflies stamp and stencil
set by Taylored Expressions.  I have used this set before and thought it was
time I brought it out again.  I stenciled with Altenew inks
Mountain Pine and Grass Fields.
I added a sentiment from Lawn Fawn.

Hope to see YOU over at Triple B!!

Congratulations and Shenanigans

 Hello friends, our newest challenge
The Neglected Stuff is back for our second month
with no theme as we are an ANYTHING GOES
challenge using your much neglected stuff you haven't used in
months or years!

I have a drawer full of rub on transfers and this one is
probably one of my newest of all but it has been sitting
for a while so I pulled it to use finally. It is a Dress My Craft
mini transfer "Paris' and I 'think' it is still available for purchase.
It's a mini but I cut it apart so eventually I will get a second card from it.  I mounted it on a paper from Prima's Nature Lover
6x6 pad, added a doily lace trim from my Spare Parts,
a few silver half pearls and a Spellbinders Betterpress sentiment.

I also have a second card also using some very OLD product.

Second card:

Way back when I first started getting into card making my hubby
bought me a Quickutz and some dies for Christmas.
I think it was my first die cutting 'machine' until I purchased
my Big Shot from Stampin' Up.  I used the Shamrock die and
die cut 3 shamrocks, then inked them with oxides Lucky Clover.
I used an old Darice Shamrock embossing folder on a gold
metallic DCWV paper.  I spattered the front with a gold paint.
The sentiment is Sparkle N Sprinkle Irish Blessings by Becky Muir.
It's so hard to photograph a metallic paper and it does look better IRL as they say.

Come on over and have some fun with Dar and I at
our new The Neglected Stuff challenge.

March 2025 Greens

Hello friends, our Peace On Earth challenge is going strong
all year long with an anything goes theme as long as it is
CHRISTMAS.

We always have a mood board for inspiration!

I was inspired by the pretty plaid bow in the upper left corner
and it helped that I had a pad of Craft Consortium 6x6 Tartan paper
along with an already embossed and put together card base to inspire!
The folder is a Sizzix Christmas Tree folder.  I die cut the tree (Impression Obsession)
from the tartan plaid papers.  The sentiment is The Ton Easy Expressions Holiday.  The die cut scrap of green behind the
trees is really more of a lighter green that the pictures shows.
A simple but nice card I might send to my brother for Christmas 2025 as it looks a little masculine to me!

Come and check our our challenge blog and join in
when the holiday rolls around you will be glad you
are that far ahead on your cards!

March 2025 Halloween Fun!

Hello friends, it's Two Old Bats challenge time once again!
We have a spooky fun mood board that just seems to fit the month of March,
but you can create anything Halloween!

I let the lime-y green colors inspire me as I knew I had this pretty and fun paper
with just those colors from LDRS Haunted Halloween paper pad!
I used a Brutus Monroe Happy Haunting paper for my base paper
then framed my print with an Impressive Obsession black frame
I had previously cut and in my 'stash'!
The lime green web is die cut from Cottage Cutz,
acquired from one of their awesome sales they have now and them!
The sentiment is die cut from a  Poppystamps die.

We know it's March, but we are a YEAR ROUND Halloween challenge
so come on over and have some spooky fun with us!

A Little Tipsy

We are going GREEN at Colorful Options.
Not a GREEN fan?  Then you can do rainbow colors!
We have a fun inspiration board that has to make you smile!

I used a stamp I received when I was designing for Sparkle N Sprinkle 'Max'
that is the first time I have inked it up.  I colored 'Max' in with Copic's
and added a few gems for some sparkle.
The Wacky Stitched Rectangles are Cottage Cutz.
The sentiment is part of the stamp set.
I was thinking this 'might' make a good retirement card.

Spring Parade

Hello friends, this month at The Four Seasons
we have our FIRST season of SPRING!
I don't know about you, but in my part of the world I am more then
ready, even though technically the first day of Spring is March 20th
and here in Michigan we might still have snow most of the month,
but a girl can hope.

We have a pretty mood board for inspiration all full of Springtime goodness
but, you can create anything with the Spring theme in mind!

I pretty much let all the mood board inspire me with all the pretty colors,
the cute chick and lamb.  I used a cute Cottage Cutz die that I die cut
all in white scraps and then colored in with various Copic, Olo and Altenew markers.
Though lots of pieces this was a pretty easy die to put together.  I paper pieced
the bunny's vest with a tiny scrap of gingham paper.  The grass is Memory Box
Prairie Grass and I used a Lawn Fawn  stencil for my clouds ,
stenciled with Altenew Sea Breeze ink.

and have some SPRING fun with us!!

Make A Wish

Hello friends, we are into March already and are going strong
at Love Those Pretty Papers where our challenge is to get all
those pretty papers out you have been hoarding and put theme to use.

We are an Anything Goes challenge but always have an optional theme
and today it is Rainbow and/or Rainbow Colors.

I have two cards to for this challenge, the first one using the 'optional' theme.
All my papers used came from the Doodlebug 'lots o' luck' paper pack (2018).
I just added a few die cuts from Tutti Designs and Cherry Lynn Designs for the banner.
I added a few tiny hearts pulled form my 'red' stash of already die cuts.
I think this will make a fun birthday card!

My second card is for the 'anything goes' choice of our challenge also
using Doodlebug papers, this time from 'love notes' (2019).
The flower stamp is Concord & 9th Flowers A La Carte.
Sentiment is a Spellbinders Betterpress.

I did a fun fancy fold/technique I found on Pinterest.
the polka dot portion you see folds back for the card to open up,
a pretty cute design called 'the back fold'.
You can find the instructions here if you want to try one of your own.

Get out YOUR pretty papers and come on over
and have some pretty fun with us!
