Just a quick card for Amy's Woodblock Wednesday challenge.
I almost missed it as it has been a 'zoo' around here and
September doesn't look much better!!
I have to admit I struggled this month of what I wanted to use,
crazy since I have a LOT of woodblock stamps but in the end
decided since it was fair month around here I decided to go with
fair animals. I have a granddaughter 'Nyla' that shows her chickens and a goat
each year at the fair and does real well with it.
I feel terrible we didn't go and see her show this year as this is probably her last year
but the heat index was over 105 and this old body just couldn't do it!

So, that made me go with the FAIR theme in mind.
I used some really old old woodblock stamps,
the chickens are Hambo 2003 and the barn is Hampton Art 2009.
I haven't decided what sentiment I wanted yet so I left that off,
but I think I see the perfect placement for it when I decide!!
The gingham background paper is Mintay.

How cute! Congrats to your granddaughter! Oh I totally understand about the heat. I think 75 is too hot.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining me for woodblock wednesday!
Wow, I guess your beautiful granddaughter does do well! The last time I went to our county fair the heat was absolutely miserable, and that was years ago and not nearly as hot as it is there! LOVE your chickens and barn stamp, and there couldn't be a better background for them than the yellow gingham. Cute and fun. I'm now thinking of my own chicken stamps and dies. So much great stuff in here and yet I keep bringing in more, tsk.
