I Saw Red Day 4 for me

This is day 4 for me of I saw Red. Since I am very busy tomorrow, I thought I would post tonight, or is it tomorrow, its after midnight here! First up is a vintage print I have of the American Flag..I love this print! Second is my cherry teapot, it is actually sitting on the top of my kitchen cupboards (the light plug is for xmas lights above my cabinets), the electrician, when I had the kitchen remodeled, was very thoughtful in putting me some light plugs above the cabinets, which was great, but he forgot a light switch...very inconvient! The last pic is one of a vintage hanky doll I made!

I saw Red Day 3 For Me

Its day 3 for me of the "I saw Red" fun! Well, back to the kitchen to show you a set of tin canisters I bought years ago at Cracker Barrel and a chicken (yes polka dots, again)! This has been fun sharing these items with everyone, I hope you are enjoying it, too! Scroll on down on my blog, as I have also posted some beautiful shots of my "gorgeous" blooming garden and also a post of another card I made, and there will be plenty more to come! You can click on any picture to enlarge it, but if you see any dust on anything, just "shhh" and don't mention it to anyone!
Also if you click on the "I saw Red" icon on the left of the page, it will take you to the blog that ALL the participants listed, and there are a ton of them, my daughter is also on the list, its Lori Diane Photography, her first "RED" post was a favorite, its my youngest grandson!!!

More Garden Photos

My garden is so beautiful this week, we finally had some rain and it made a world of difference! One of my friends knows I sew crafts and told me to put my pictures of my sewing items on, as she's not a gardener and doesn't want to see my garden photos...too funny! But, I LOVE my garden, it is so much a part of me, lots and lots of hard, neverending work, but the payoff is so worth it! So I hope I don't bore you with my pics of the garden, but I am just so darned proud of it!!

I am only (only, yeah right) sharing 4 of the 24 pics I took this evening It was hard to choose as they all are so beautiful! The first is a big face of my Salmon poppies that just "popped" out since the rain yesterday! The second picture is of my pink peonies....all I can say is gorgeous with a capitol "G"! Next is my False Blue Indigo, don't you just love them! You have to click on the picture to see how delicate they are...wow! And look at that Iris (ignore the bug on it), the color is called "Magical Encounter", all I can say if you can be in love with a flower, then I am "in love" with this one.....Enjoy!!

Another Card I made

Made this card using mostly SU products, with the exception of a small piece of DS paper from Basic Grey. I used my SU markers to color on the flowers and then stamped on very vanilla cardstock. I have so many more in the works...so many stamps...so little time!

I saw Red Day 2 for me

This is my second day of the "I saw Red" group I joined. Today I am sharing my living room chair, "my chair", this is where I read, do hand sewing, and watch TV. It is also probably the "messiest place in the house, as I always have my "things" around me in this chair.

Now I know it probably looks funny, having fish all over my chair, but keep in mind, I live in a log house, so it fits! My husband bought me this chair the first year we moved here, as I was admiring it (really) in a furniture shop, it came as a surprise one evening, and that was about 12 or 13 years ago, looks pretty good yet, doesn't it? The BIG red ottoman I ordered special, it has become quite a "cat bed"!

The second red item I am showing today is my red lamp that is our "night light" in our kitchen. I got up this morning to find it knocked over (cats), good thing it ended up in a plant, as it was on!!!

I saw Red

Do you like red??? I do, and when I saw this group of "I saw Red" fellow "bloggers" showing their red, I knew this was for me, as my house being log, is full of red!!! I am a little late starting, as I just came across this today. You can see all the other blogs with red here, and there are lots of them with all kinds of items!

I decided to show a few items from my kitchen today, wanted to show a little more, but its a little gloomy here and my camera just is in the "I need to be charged" mode! But wait til you see my last day I am posting for this...its a surprise!! Anyhow, what I am showing today is my Fire King antique bowl with red polka dots, and a cherry plate also with polka dots. Can you tell my kitchen just might be decorated in cherries and that I love polka dots???

Stampin'Ups! Fresh Cuts Sneak Peak

I love my new SU Fresh Cuts set! I have plenty more to post later this week using this set. This card was a simple one, making my own DS paper with the floral stamp was fast, easy and I loved how it turned out! I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots, and it just added that extra "elegance" to the card! The colors I used were SU Groovy Guava and Soft Sky. These colors retire on August 10th, and being a "new" SU demo, I hate to see them go! Stay "tuned" for more cards I will post later this week with these colors and stamp set!
