Tis The Season To Glitter

I used my Elizabeth Craft Stickers with glitter and Copics again for the
Lavender Hues Challenge at The Ribbon Girl....

These are so fun to work with and each sheet of the stickers are less then $2...
these are not normal "stickers", but just the outlines...
I have shown a page of them below....
there are so many things you can do with them
besides coloring the glitter...
but somehow I can't stop myself...lol

Well, I am off to make some Christmas tags....
one of my favorite things to do!!

Proud As A Peacock

While cruising thru the JustRite Blog I came across this challenge
"Proud As A Peacock"

I figured I had to enter it as it had an even 13 hours to go and the entry was #13
and 13 is my lucky number...lol

edited to add...my card did win as the random.org winner...happy~happy!

I used my JustRite Lace Medallion set for my peacock
and the Spellbinders Lace Medallion die to cut it with
the background paper is a Christmas paper I bought
last year to wrap my daughters gifts in...and had a scrap left
to use in my paper creating...wish it would photograph better
as it is very metallic and glittery!!
The inks used were TH Peacock Feathers~SU Lucky Limeade~And Versamark Luster

Something Exciting To Share

A few months back I was contacted by Papercraft Inspirations in the UK
that they wanted to include a card I had made in their Christmas magazine...
I don't have my hands on the magazine yet, as it takes a few weeks to get it in
the stores in the states......but I am so excited that right now I am sharing
the link HERE that tells about it....
I will share the photo later when I find the magazine here...

Also I had a pleasant surprise when we returned home from our Thanksgiving trip
that I had won the Cheery Lynn Design challenge with my winter tag in the post below!!

It was great news as, also on returning our "lovely" (and I use that word loosely)
furnace died....and its 28 degrees out...bottom line is, we have to have a new furnace installed
...Merry Christmas to us...however it was NOT on MY Christmas list.....
but hey, after all that happened on the East Coast, I should be thankful that is all
we have to worry about...right??  I have learned there is always, always someone
worse off then "you" and not to complain too much (though, that is human nature)
Well that's it...off to eat some of my big pot of cabbage~carrots~potatos~sausage I made...yum!!

Winter Wonderland

Are you getting in the Christmas mood??
It's kind of hard for me when it's been so warm  out lately (not complaining)
But, one of my very favorite things to do is make my own tags....
I usually sit down for a few afternoons and just start in, it is so fun!!

the challenge is to make a tag using at least one CLD die...
Yesterday I cut and glittered an entire "pile" of the CLD snowflowers set 1...
I also cut some pieces from the Build A flower Embellishment set 2
and glittered them as well....

I didn't use all of them, so I have a nice stock ready for further projects....
I wish you could see all the glitter better on them, they are loaded....
I use Glue and Seal from Ranger (it is always on my desk) applied with a paint brush
then coated with MS fine glitter...
the Glue and Seal is how I apply all my delicate die cuts as it dries clear!!
I also used the Holly Flourish (love this) from Cheery Lynn
the stamp is Hampton Art.....

and on a funny note, I wanted to share "KittyWitty's" photos...
I was outside the other day trying to get a good pic of a card
and this character stuck her face in my lens.....
there is a "normal" picture of her below this one
she is a "rescue" cat!

Neutrals

I won't be posting but a few more things this week...maybe thru Wed
as I will be spending time away from my computer and with my hubby....
in fact I won't even have a computer to use from Wed thru Sunday...
how will I survive??

I made this card for the Flourish Timeless Tuesday challenge to use the board
shown below for inspiration....

I used Versa Mark Dazzle to stamp my JustRite lace background and Zing Vanilla
embossing powder..... doesn't that lace stamp look real??

I also used a new favortie set of mine from Flourishes called "Country Road"
I LOVE this set and have been wanting to get inky with it!!

Well, off to get some Monday housework done...ugh...would much rather be creative...
before I go, I want to share the sunrise I happened to be up early enough to catch on camera...
enjoy!!

Falling For Trees

I made this card with one of newer and most favorite dies from Memory Box
the birch tree
when I saw this die I had to hunt for it, as it was sold out everywhere
I think it is back in stock most places now....
and I had to have it, but this is the first time I used it....

I made this card for a challenge from "City Crafters" Falling For Trees
we are to use the colors shown and have a tree on it....

my little "button" is hard to read in the photo, but it says "you make me happy"
It's different, but I love those birch trees!!

Mojo Monday Sketch 267

Remember a few weeks ago when I was coloring glitter with my Copics??
Well, this is another one I did and saw the sketch challenge #267 at Mojo Monday
and thought my cardinal would be perfect for it!!

I once again used the Elizabeth Craft stickers.....if you don't know what they are
then you are missing out...they are just an outline of an image that you use
fine tweezers to pull off and stick to whatever you want, they can be put on
card stock, glossy card stock, watercolor paper or sticky paper (which is what I did)
and then colored as you would a stamped or digital image....

I adhered mine to sticky paper and then use a transparent micro fine glitter
called "Crystal Glitter Ritz Warm Highlight"
you press it down into the sticky paper, shake of the excess and color with Copics
however, as not to damage your Copics, you do not need to press down hard to color
and immediately clean the tip of the Copic off when done.....
I use my finger for this as I find it works the best to get all the glitter off
yes, I do have colorful fingers at the time!!
