Birthday Girl

Here is my last and final entry for the guest designer at My Favorite Things....
There are some wonderful entries, so even if I am not selected,
it still is fun and great "practice".....

I used the last Pure Innocense stamp I had bought for Christmas....
called "Holly Girl".....
I just cut her out and left the holly off and added some balloons from
my Miss Lizzy papers
the grass was cut with my MS shredding scissors, the clouds a SU EB folder...
Her cute little polka dress was paper pieced....

It's a good day to be in my creative room...very cold and snowy day...
I have been working on it and it looks so much better...
I still have tons to sort thru and downsize, but at least I have it where I can
find things...however I never did find my misplaced dies....
I am hoping they show up somewhere...one is an entire set of Spellbinders...
and the other is a newer Memory Box one....I am so worried they slid
off my mess of a desk I had and into the trash.....
I am working on "skirts" for my tables and new curtains and chair covers....
If I ever get it done I will post some pictures....

Pink Hydrangeas

I thought I would try something a little different today....
I cut a tiny styrofoam ball in half to make the mop heads on my Hydrangeas
I glued each little flower to the styrofoam half

I cut my flowers with the Cheery Lynn Design Embellishments 3
and inked them with SU Melon Mambo and TH Worn Lipstick
the stems were cut with  Build A Flower Embellishments 2
and the leaves with Build A Flower 2

The little sentiment I hadn't intended to add, but I had placed
my flowers too high up on the card and it was a "save"
I had planned to add one of my new little Hummingbird die cuts...

I am entering this in the challenge this week just for fun
at the Cheery Lynn Design Challange Blog "Tickled Pink"
and also at
"The Cheerful Stamp Pad "Tickled Pink"

Here are a couple pictures of my Garden from last year... of course

it's snowing like crazy out right now!!

Vintage With A Frame

Another card made with bits and pieces...sort of....
I made this heart last year and never finished it....
I cut a heart with my Circut and then over stamped on it several times
with various stamps....a doily...chandelier, bird cage, heart flourish

the base of the card is from a 12 x 12 piece of Cord-in-nations card stock called "Chocolate"
which I have had a few years.....
the little acrylic frame came in the cutest little tin with about 4 other frames...
I have had it for 5 years or so.....
the little glitter birds were cut with a MS border punch...
and last, the flower is a vintage one I took from an old hat....

I am entering this in the challenge this week at Papercraft Star to use a "frame"
 and also at
Joan's Gardens to make a "vintage" project
It's snowing and blowing here so a good day to stay in my creative room...
I have misplaced 2 very important dies, so am in the process of cleaning my creative room....
I am so hoping they didn't slip off my desk and into the trash...we'll see

and as promised I am sharing more of my garden pictures
....a far cry from what it looks outside right now...
we are to have snow thru next Tuesday.....

here is Kitty Witty taking a rest..
I might be back with another post today...see ya!!!

More Bits and Pieces

Happy Sunday to you!!!!
I have been working hard at using up more of my scrap bits and pieces....
All you see on this card came out of my scrap bin.....
Notice the red background...can you guess what it is??
It's a paint card sample I had picked up to paint some red flower pots....
the doily is a partial one that I used the other part on another project....
the little dress form has been cut for about a year....
the "wood" tag I had stamped on, wasn't satisfied with it...and tossed it in the scrap bin....
the velvet button heart I bought last year at Hobbylobby....
and last, the flower is one that came with some blog candy I won last year....

I am entering this in the challenge at "Our Creative Corner"
to use wood and a button....
the woodgrain must show, so I also used a woodgrain embossing folder
in addition to my wood tag.....

Don't forget to came back Thursday to see my exciting (to me) news!!!!
