"Floral Fantasy" at The Shabby Tea Room

Hi All, today is the start of a new challenge "Floral Fantasy" at 

"The Shabby Tea Room"....

I have been "collecting" a nice bit of Paper Sweeties lately and decided to use my

sweet "Sophie" die and stamp.....

I wish you could see this card IRL, as it is full of "3D" detail!!

I made my flowers with wool felt...love the softness they add to my card

I mounted them on paper straws...

they kind of remind me of something sweet!!!

Our Beautiful World ~~~~Eggs~~~~

Busy, busy day, but I have time to join in "Our Beautiful World"

once again this week...this weeks word is "Eggs"

I have one photo of eggs, other then Easter, but this one is my favorite!!

At our lake home the drive is stone/gravel and one Summer when we

arrived we saw a very "distressed" bird running around in the drive.

The bird is a Killdeer.....they run kind of crazy as to distract you from their nest.

The nest that they build in the ground!!

Well, this silly bird had her nest much to our dismay, built in our drive!

We marked it with a stake so as not to drive over it...

but one night, during my sleeplessness I heard a commotion 

and being so dark couldn't see a thing...

but next morning, the eggs (shells) were strewn all over

and the poor Mama bird was gone...so sad, as we had been watching the nest for days!!

So either a fox or a raccoon had a tasty meal overnight..that's nature I guess!!

Hello Classy Friends.

Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog

with my newest project.

I have a friend that moved away a few years ago from

Michigan to Arizona, and she was my only "paper crafting"

friend, so I miss our get togethers of fun and laughter!!

I  love the clean, elegant, classy look of white on white cards

and I wanted to "oh and ah" her, so I went with it!!

I started my card with a panel I cut a circle out of using Spellbinders "Heart Circles".

 I like how it gave a pretty tiny scalloped edge around it.  

The actual pretty heart circle I can use on a later project.

Next I used the Darice "Cherry Blossoms" embossing folder  

on a white card stock base, after embossing, I placed my panel on top of my card base

to somewhat "eyeball" where I wanted to stamp my sentiment, 

removed it and stamped the beautiful sentiment 

from JustRite "Poppies Label Twenty Nine".  

Using "Joy Foam Pads Large", I popped up the panel over the sentiment.

To finish my card, I cut a Spellbinders "Ornamental Tags One",

stamped the JustRite word "Friend" from the set "Just The Right Words"....

added "Baby Pearls White"...and my card was finished!!

The entire card took less then ten minutes!!  I hope you have enjoyed today's post.....

All The Flowers

I must be thinking dreaming of things to come.....

I can hardly wait to see all my Spring flowers bloom....

I know it's early, but it has been a long, brutal winter....

I am so ready to see the backside of it and get outside into the fresh air!!

I guess that is why I have been creating lots of "flower cards.

When I saw the JustRite challenge  #117 this week, I told myself I was

making 3 cards.....

not sure if I will accomplish that, but here is my second one at least!!

We were to use the sketch below for the JustRite challenge....

 I started out with some newly, just purchased Graphic 45 DS paper  

"botanical tea"....it is so pretty!!

The blue polka dot background paper is Bo Bunny.

I used Spellbinders die "Decorative Labels Eight"....

I stamped a JustRite sentiment from the set "Seeds of Summer"

I can't tell you how many times I reach for this set, I just love it!!

My flowers were cut using the Spellbinders "Blooms Four"...

I colored them using the baby wipe/gelato technique!!

I have one day left...wonder if I can get my 3rd card done!!!!!

Being April 1st falls within this weeks challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such,

I thought it would be fun to use a Silly or Funny stamp (all in good taste though)!

I used my Go Granny Go stamps.

Now, where do you suppose Granny is off to this time???

She is on her way to another church potluck....

but, why do you suppose Granny has all those cats following her???

Take a guess???  Give up??  

Granny has just taken a piping hot "tuna fish casserole" out of the oven

and those kitties think it "smells "oh" so good"!!!!

"Pretty In Pink" at The Shabby Tea Room"

Hello my "Shabby" friends!!!

This week at "The"Shabby Tea Room"  Linda is our hostess and our sponsor is

DRS Designs.  For my sponsor image I chose "Single Rose"

 Linda  is asking us to make a project "Pretty In Pink" 

using white/cream~pink~green~flowers~lace/ribbon.

I printed my image on X-Press Copic paper and colored it in with my Copics..

a bit of "Wink of Stella" was added to the outline of the image...

A few gorgeous dies were used, Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles for the image

and Joy Crafts Billie's Circle underneath!!!

I added a few die cut leaves, the rose leaves under my "real" roses were 

coated with a "new to me" product from Art Anthology "Dimensional Crystal'

in the color "Pickle"...this is a very fun product to work with, though I now

have "pickle" color fingers...lol!!

I added a few stick pins and a lace bow...the DS paper underneath just happened

to be laying on my desk and it worked out to be the perfect color....

I love it when that happens!!!
