Mini Bakery

Happy Sunshiney Morning to You!!!

This week at "The Shabby Tea Room"
our hostess is Rebecca and her theme is "Pretty Gifts and Packaging"
using the gorgeous inspiration photo below

Our sponsor is "Creations by AR"....
I chose this adorable little "mini bakery"....
oh my, it is so cute and so easy to make...

I used the PDF file for mine and hand cut it......

I love how the top opens and the front flips down...
leaving the entire decorated top "undisturbed"!!

I purchased Ferrero Rocher chocolates to fit in mine...
I used a 1 3/8" circle punch and my candies fit in perfectly...
it will also hold mini cupcakes if you prefer!

I had fun decorating the top of my box with some Graphic 45 Botanical Tea paper,
a handmade Rose...a few leaves, gorgeous gingham ribbon and my
"spiral" stars!!

I invite "YOU" to join in our challenge this week...we would love to see your projects
and you just could win a lovely prize from "Creations by AR"!!

half way through the month...our summer is going to go by so fast!!!

But June 15th brings us to another challenge at the "Dies R Us" challenge blog!!

June certainly seems to be the time for weddings...
I even have a June wedding anniversary myself on the 20th....
The hubs and I are going to celebrate on Mackinac Island where we were married...
I can hardly wait!!

Anywho, for my Design Team project I decided to make a wedding bouquet
using numerous dies!!

After embossing my card base I used the following dies.....
all can be purchased at "Dies R Us".....

To my flowers I added a bit of "new to me" Stickles Eucalyptus..
All of my die cuts, with the exception of the flowers were cut
with SU Simmery White card stock....
if you could see it IRL, you would notice the "shimmer"!

Hi Diane here with you today....
Did the title of my post get your attention..lol...
I hope so, as I have this pretty card to tell you about!!

This week at Classy Cards 'n Such, our challenge is
"Make Your Own Background"
using either a "stencil" or a "background stamp"....

After much "dilemma" of which to use, I chose a "stencil"!!
My stencil is the beautiful Memory Box "Texture Brilliant"...
I sponged on Sky Blue ink using TH Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool....
You want to "softly" sponge, so as not to get the "round" shape on your paper,
adding more color on top of color as you go, giving a nice "soft" and "natural" look!!

I have to honestly admit, after it was done I wasn't sure where I was going next with it...
but decided to pull out my Sizzix Susan's Garden Mini Daisy die....
This is a very tiny die with 16 petals each flower, but don't let it fool you
as it is super easy to construct...

After my petals were cut, I added Susan's Garden PanPastels Flower Garden coloring kit
using the Diarykide Yellow applied to the inside tips of my flowers...
I constructed the flowers with the help of the Susan's Garden Tool Kit
After the flowers were done, I added a very tiny bit of Viva Pearl Pen Green
to each center and topped them with some yellow flocking....
this step also helps adhere them together.

While my flowers were drying, I cut out the Memory Box Quinn Flourish
After adding the bow, I decided to leave the card "as is", as I wanted
to really showcase the background!!

I invite you to enter our "Make Your Own Background" challenge this week....
we would love to see "your" creations and you "could" win a prize as well!!

Wedding Rings

Good Wednesday Morning!!!
Today is the first day of another new challenge at
and our theme is "weddings"....
the DT and our guest designers did a fabulous job of inspiration for you this week!!

For my card I came up with a rather unique card I think....
I had purchased the Memory Box Large Ringlets die from
"Classy Cards 'n Such" and they reminded me of wedding rings...
So, an idea formed to turn them into diamond wedding rings and bands....

I cut them out of silver metallic paper (gold would work too)....
but first I adhered a piece of the Scor-tape sheet to the back of my paper,
before I cut it out, then all I had to do, was peel off the backing and
adhere it to my card stock ...perfect for this type of a die cut!!
(I gave you the link if interested in this paper)

I used SU Shimmery white card stock for my base and added a silver glitter
panel underneath which is DCWV...a pad of paper that was a gift from
my fellow DT Sister and Friend "Dar"...love this paper!!

I added my bow and tied my computer generated sentiment with a silver cord...

I hope you will head on over to "The Sisterhood"
and check out the DT inspiration and enter a project of your own!!

Love Is In The Air

Hello My Friends!!
I took a tiny bit of "me" time today.
I needed a card for the hubby for our anniversary that is coming up...
my biggest downfall is "manly" cards...
I just have a hard time not doing "girlie"
but sometime last year I won a goodie package from "Simon Says"
and in it were these wonderful Basic Grey cutouts which I thought would be perfect
for my "man" for our anniversary....
plus I didn't want to get too carried away with my card....
as you all know how men are...
he will look at it and  go "uh huh"...thanks dear!!

I used a cool SU stamp from Gorgeous Grunge....
one of my favorite stamp sets and stamped it in "Soft Sky"....
fitting, don't you think...lol!!

I am entering this is the "Addicted To CAS" challenge this week
which is "transport"....

Don't forget to enter my blog candy this month...the post is at the top of my blog!!

Lavender & Lace

Hello my "Shabby Friends"
Here it is Monday again and time for another challenge at
This week I am the hostess and I chose the photo below for inspiration
and to use Lavender cream/white and include lace/doily and distressing.

Our sponsor this week is "The Cutting Cafe" and they so generously
gave each of the DT girls a cut file in our choice of a tulip or a window sill card.

You can see by my card which one I chose!!

After hand cutting my window and shutters I used an IO Background stamp
called Cracked Paint for my distressing.....
I inked it with going gray and really love how it turned out!

My curtains are the "lace" part of the challenge.....
I used a JustRite vintage lace background stamp for my lacey look!

The kitty, hollyhocks, and birdhouse are all IO dies ....
I had to add my "signature" gingham ribbon for the bow!!
I think it turned out super cute and head on over to "the tea room"
and see what my "shabby girlfriends" and our guest designers have for you...
they will knock your socks off...really!!
