The 12 Tags of Christmas With a Feminine Twist 2014 Day 8

I am back with my  Day 8 Tag at "The Classroom"
The inspiration tag was designed by Dawn Woleslagle
and I found this one to be the trickiest one of all for me
only because of finding "the right" things to use.
Yes, you can use the tag for inspiration and go off in your own direction.
But I like the challenge of coming up  a similar tag using their techniques!

Funny how when you have "all this stuff" to use, you still seem to be lacking
"just the right" thing...lol!!

I had to get real creative for the word "Sparkle"....
I haven't gotten into the "mode" of purchasing too many of the word dies...
but to save the day was my "Explore".....
typed in the word "Sparkle"...
and up it popped!!

So anywho, this is my tag for Day 8!!

Name That Christmas Tune

What fun it is at "The Sisterhood" for our next challenge!!!
Darlene is our hostess and she has chosen our theme of
"Name That Tune" using a Christmas song as your tune"

I had a ball with this challenge, but it was so dang hard picking
only 2 songs.....but in the long run I came up with these two!!

I had purchased this gorgeous Die-Versions die last year and
knew it just had to go with the song title
"Away In A Manger"

I first stenciled my background card stock with gold ink
using Memory Box "Star Dust" stencil.....
I get all my stencils from Classy Cards 'n Such and have such fun with them!

I cut two of the manger scene, one in light blue and one in black
and just letting a bit of the second one show underneath...
it almost makes it look as though it were glowing.

The second card I did is more of a "fun" card.....
I went with the "Winter Wonderland" song
thinking of the verse "In The meadow we can  build a snowman"
Now that I have that song stuck in your head (LOL) I will tell you how I made the card!!
I used the gorgeous new die from Sweet Dixie
isn't this just the cutest snowman ever???

First I die cut my snow"girl" and then glued her down on white card stock
then I used my Copics to carefully color her in
I found if you kept your pen "STRAIGHT" up it was easier to do!!
then I "hand cut" it out, added my pearls and I had this darling little snow girlie!!
I finished off with a snowflake embossed background
and a gorgeous pink ribbon!!

Take a peek over at "The Sisterhood" blog and see what creativeness the "SISTAHS"
and "STEPSISTERS" have for you.
Because of the holiday fast approaching, we won't be back with a new challenge until
January 14, 2015, so we each did TWO Design Team cards....

Tis The Season

Wrappings and Ribbons and Tags oh my!
Tis' the season...lol...Diane here with you today with this weeks challenge
"Wrappings"
using the photo for inspiration and using Christmas Designer papers and ribbons.

Look at the lovely prize you could win just by entering
The small snowflake die by Impression Obsession!

I made an extremely simple card that at this time of the year,
I think simple is better!!

For my stacked packages I used an Impression Obsession die Gift Stack Cutout

which is a wonderful die for any time of the year!
For the inside of the cutout,
I cut small scraps from Wild Rose Studio Frosted Lace 6 x 6 paper pack.
I wanted a bit of sparkle, so to the bows I added Queen & Co Silver Rock Candy

The other two packages were cut free hand using scrap pieces from
Authentique  Believe 6 x 6 paper pad.
The package with the poinsettia,  I added Gelly Roll Stardust Clear pen for a bit of shine

My card was finished with a sentiment from JustRite Christmas Inner Thoughts stamp set.

We would love for you to enter our challenge with your creation!
As always, there is a fabulous prize to the challenge winner!!

12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2014 Day 7

At "The Classroom" "The 12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist"
has Jill Foster with the Day 7 tag, using water coloring!
She used water color pencils for hers, I grabbed my TH Distress markers for mine.

After seeing her tags (which you can see HERE)
I knew right away what stamp I wanted to use for this...
an older set I have had "forever" it seems by "Bo Bunny"!
I debated about "blinging" it up and decided "oh what the heck"
just go for it, so I did, by adding a dot of stickles to each of the
black dot "ornaments" on the tree.

The "splatters" are a bit of shimmery gold from Tattered Angels.

Okay...back to my DT work...I am gaining...finally!!

Oh, one last thing...I did not and do not want the "prove you are not a robut"
thing n my comments...if anyone knows how to get it off of there, let me know,
as I have tried and it still shows up..so annoying for all of us!!!

12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2014 Day 6

Here I am  again with another tag for Day 6 of
I had this tag done when I had Day 5 tag done,
but never had time to write up the post.
Day 6 tag was inspired by the tag made in "The Classroom" by Jean Manis.
I love, love this tag...love the sequins, love the colors, just love everything about it!

I used SU Tempting Turquoise for my tag base.
Su Paper Piercing templates (which I have had and never had even opened until now)!

A tree die from Impression Obsession, covered with sequins from my stash!
Some gorgeous ribbon and jingle bell finished it off!!

Well.....gotta run..I have some DT things I HAVE to get done tonight!!

See ya tomorrow with a couple more tags (I hope)!!

12 Tags of Christmas With a Feminine Twist 2014 Day 4

I know I am behind, but will give it my best to get caught up.

This tag was inspired by the Day 4 tag Kelly Alvarez did at "The Classroom".
I just love this cute "Penguin" that I have had forever....he is one of those $1 stamps.
You know the ones, you buy a zillion of them and then never use them..LOL!!

I cut my scallops using a scallop punch and then layering.
The pink background is using 2 different TH Distress inks, then splattered with
Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer mist....
I topped it off with my "Marvy Snow Writer", I just LOVE that thing!!

Okay, back to work for me...
.my poor tree is still bare,
and I have not one decoration out yet for Christmas,
and have 3 design team projects due this week and have not even started them!
I had better get busy!!!

12 Tags of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2014 Day 3

that is going on over at "The Classroom"!!

This tag was inspired by the tutorial on Day 3 by Kittie Caracciolo
and you all know how beautiful her scenes are....

I went with a small "pink" poinsettia and "pink" wall paper for my tag...
It was fun to make and hopefully I will be back with a few others.
Go over to "The Classroom" and see what the DT has created so far and
see all the other creative tags that have been entered so far!!
