Farm Chicks~A Blog Hop With Crafty Secrets

I'm taking part in the Crafty Secrets Farm Chicks Blog Hop along with the rest of the crazy creative designers on the Crafty Secrets Team.  Each design team member has used the new Farm Chicks Digital Art Stamps, or the new Digital Chicken Farm Print paper...or both to create a fabulous chicken themed project to inspire and delight you!   If you are coming here from Darlene's  BLOG, then you are right on track. If not, you can go back to the Crafty Secrets Blog and follow the links.

Every great blog hop needs a prize, and one lucky winner will receive their very own set of the Farm Chicks Digital Art Stamps and the digital Chicken Farm Paper, too. To win, simply visit every blog listed below and leave a nice comment.  Then, finish up this hop on the Crafty Secrets BLOG and let us know that you've visited and commented on all the designers’ blogs.  The winner will be randomly chosen from one of the blog comments on one of the designer's blogs.  How fun is that?
From here, you should strut on over to visit Elizabeth's fabulous blog.  She has a wonderful project to share with you, and is the next link on the hop!

Just a few things about my card for today.
I printed the background paper,
which is part of the Farm Chicks stamp set
on a yellow card stock.

The hen and chick are from the Chicken Farm Paper.
I printed it in a smaller 4 x 6 size 3 times,
then cut just the "chicks' out,
popped them up for a 3D effect,
but I also used Ranger Crackle accents
on the top piece for a bit of texture.

The Farm Fresh banner is from the
farm chicks stamp set,
which I printed on aqua paper.

To finish I made a few Daisy flowers
and added a bow from the April Ribbon Club Release
from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

From my "old" stash a black mini clothes pin and
3 stick on buttons were added.

Have fun on the hop...and good luck...
I hope "you" win!!!

Fragrance of Spring

Hello "Shabby" Friends, it's time for a new challenge at
This week our theme is "Welcome Spring" using the inspiration photo below.

I used SU Pink Pirouette card stock for my card base.
A floral designer paper from scrap the bin went on next,
which I trimmed out with an SU scallop eyelet punch I have had forever!

In my stash I found some small ATC size chalkboard card stocks.
I think I bought this about 3 years ago at Hobbylobby.
It certainly feels good to get it out and actually use it..lol!

I stamped a sentiment on using Memories Unicorn white ink.

The focal image is a beautiful digital by our sponsor using Tea Flower Tag.

I printed the image twice, then fussy cut out one bird for the image
and a second bird to "perch" on the flowers.

Now it's your turn!
Head on over to "The Shabby Tea Room"
and see what other beautiful creations the "shabby girls"
have to inspire you.

Join our challenge with us, we have a lovely prize from our sponsor!

Wild Rose Buttons

Happy Sunday Morning to you!!
We have had the most beautiful weather the last two days....
too bad it isn't going to last....sigh!
But, at least I was able to work in my flower gardens for a few days!

After working outside, I needed a break and what better way then to
create with some pretty, pretty Crafty Secrets digitals!!

I LOVE these button cards from the "Button Cards Digital Printables" !!
Beautiful, soft and pretty colors.

I paired my button card with a background paper from "Pastel Paper Pad".
I love the beautiful replica of chenille and stitching on this paper.
AND, did you know that this paper pad is on clearance?
That's right...it is only $3.95 until gone.....don't miss out, get yours now!!

I added a few real buttons to the card front
along with crepe paper flowers I handmade
using a Spellbinders Dogwood die.

I think this will make a nice card for a quilter and/or sewing person.....!

I wanted to mention that tomorrow, April 20th, the Crafty Secrets girls
will be hosting a "Farm Chicks" blog hop!
All you have to do is leave a comment at each blog for your chance
to win a fabulous "Farm Chicks" prize!

Hope to see you tomorrow!!!

Hello Classy friends,
Diane here with you today!
Spring is finally arriving and I am anxious
to get in my gardens, but until then
I can satisfy myself with some gorgeous handmade flowers!

I love this new die by PoppyStamps called
Large Iceland Poppy.
It cuts in several pieces, allowing you to make a
lifelike poppy.
I cut the poppies from white card stock,
then sponged them with PanPastels Flower Coloring Kit...
I think the PanPastels make them look so real!!

I slightly formed the petals using

The Poppies were "popped up" (pun intended..lol)
on Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance
These were  popped  using Joy! Large Foam pads
on a Spellbinders Oval Accent embossing folder.

The sentiment is one of my favorite go to stamp sets

Don't forget we have a weekly challenge
and there is always a fabulous prize awarded to one lucky winner...

Take Time

TGIF....and also Friday brings us to another new challenge at

For this challenge our lovely hostess is Vanessa and she has chosen the theme
of "Springtime Flowers"with
"Sweet Lilac Flowers"
and
"Marianne Design"
 being our sponsors!

I had just purchased a new Marianne Design embossing folder
called Anja's Decorative Border.
I "built" my entire card around that.

I used a shimmer white card stock (cryogen white) to emboss
the folder on.
If you could see this IRL, you would notice the shimmer!

I found a very small "snippet" of scrap paper in my scrap paper bag,
I love how it looks with the EB folder.

I ran a piece of a rose trim down where the two papers meet.
I used a few die cuts (listed at the post bottom), pink Roses
and made a pretty sheer pink bow.

I stamped a sentiment, added a few pearls to complete my card.

Head on over to the Fussy and Fancy blog
and see what my Teammates have to inspire you,
they always have the most amazing creations!

Products I have used :
Marianne Design Anja's Decorative Embossing Folder
Cryogen White  card stock
White Pearls
Impression Obsession Dove Die
My Favorite Things Flourish die

Spring Window

This is my post at the
which I am Guest Designing through June.

Hello,  Diane here  to show you another card I made using the gorgeous
Spring Window #704 from the April Release

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink,
then colored in with  Copics.
I dabbed Brushable Glue on the flowers
then sprinkled Cherry Lemonade glitter on.
I did the same thing for the flowers in the vase,
only this time using Lemonade glitter.

I cut a lattice background from white card stock
and mounted it on a Super Adhesive Sheet.
I added Cherry Lemonade glitter, using my "finger" tool
to rub in all the spaces.

I attached the stamped and colored image to the glitter background

I added a gingham ribbon/bow and brad
and a die cut butterfly I coated with Brushable Glue and Lemonade glitter.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment, fussy cut it out,
and attached it over the ribbon.

Thank you for visiting with me today!!

Best Wishes

This is my post today at the Dies R Us blog.

Happy Thursday my Dies R Us friends!!!

My card I am sharing with you today seems to scream Spring!
It was  very fast to make using mostly "snippets" from my scrap bag
and two  fun dies!!

First from a green paper and a second time from a blue paper.
I cut the bird off the blue paper and paper pieced him to the one on the
green paper.....easy!

I cut a birdhouse using Cheery Lynn Designs Birdhouse With Lattice die
and hung it off the branch.

To finish off I added a twine bow to the branch
and a stamped sentiment I fussy cut out.

Like I said, it was simple, but I think it makes a pretty Spring statement!

Don't forget to stop tomorrow to see some more beautiful inspiration,
and why not join in our Dies R Us challenge.....we would love to have you!

Check out the HUGE selection of dies in the Dies R Us Store....
there are so many to choose from, you will be amazed!!.
