Shabby Chic Fish Bowl Shaker

Hi All!!
It's that time again for a new challenge at

Our theme is "Fun Blooms"
and using the inspiration photo below!

Our sponsor is "The Cutting Cafe"!
I love this sponsor as they have the most fun cutting files to create with!

to create  a "shabby chic" fish bowl and turned it into a shaker card!
I printed the bowl twice, once on white card stock
and once on a heavy weight vellum.
I like the heavy weight vellum, as I thought it gave it watery effect!

I tried something different, so instead of using foam tape around the edge
of the bowl for the shaker, I stitched all around and added my sequins,
then sewed the top shut. It seems to "shake" just fine.

I decorated the top with various flowers, leaves and such from my stash!
I actually think it makes a pretty decor piece!

Now, head on over to "The Shabby Tea Room" and see what beautiful
creations my teammates have to show you.
I have to say, it to was fun to see all the different ways this fish bowl was used!
As long as you are there, why not join in the challenge with us??
You could win some cut files of your own from The Cutting Cafe!!

Class of 2015

Hi There!
Yep, I have a second post today...yesterday I had 3,
sometimes it just happens that way...LOL!

I am the Guest Designer this week at "My Sheri Crafts".
The challenge theme is "It's Graduation Day".
You can make a graduation or school project.

I chose a CAS, and a little classy I think Graduation card!
I started with that all time favorite embossing folder of mine
(I am giving you a purchase link if interested, as it is kind of hard to find)
and if you use the code DIANE-10 at checkout, you can save 10%.

I printed the words "class of 2015" from "WORD",
then used my Cheery Lynn Designs banner die to cut it out.
I remember seeing this die on another blog and I just had to have it!
I have used it numerous times since!

I made a little grad cap by punching out a 1" square,
mounting it on a white card stock, then trimming around the edge.
I made my tassel with embroidery floss and attached it with a glittery brad.

Pretty clean and simple, but effective don't you think?.

One thing about making a black and white grad card is,
it's good for any school without having to worry about school colors!
However, I didn't realize black cards were as difficult to photograph as white ones are!
Thanks for visiting with me today!

Hi there!
Diane with you today with a fun card
using some really neat products from Classy Cards 'n Such!

I cut a white card stock panel,
grabbed some TH Distress Shabby Shutters ink,
and let the fun begin.

I taped the stencil to my craft mat at the top and bottom
and held the area down I was stenciling with my
finger, applying the ink with the Mini Ink Blending Tool.
I love the soft pretty background, and,
it was very fast to do!

Next I did some stamping,
using Impression Obsession Mason Jars Small stamp,
I stamped on Vellum with Versamark and
Sparkle N Sprinkle White Fine Detail Embossing powder.
I then snipped the handle off each jar.

I also stamped Impression Obsession Wood Seed Box
with Memories Unicorn White ink.

The flowers were made using the small blossoms
that come with Impression Obsession Hydrangea set.
The yellow in the flower centers is Viva Pearl Pen Yellow.
The flower stems are from Memory Box Blooming Violets.
That is one thing I love about all the dies,
they can so easily be mixed and matched!

I based my card on our challenge this week, which is
Loves Me, Loves Me Not and add a daisy.
There is still time enter and you can find it HERE.

Thank you for visiting with me today!!

Paris In The Springtime

Hi All,
I am the hostess at Fussy and Fancy this week...
my first time hosting there and I was/am a bit nervous..lol!

I chose a color challenge of lavender and yellow
using the photo below for inspiration!

Our sponsors for this challenge are
and

I made a fun "Paris In The Springtime" card.
The background embossing folder I just love.
It is by Sue Wilson.

I cut an Eiffel Tower on my Cricut and decorated it with
flowers from my stash.
I am known to buy "junk" jewelry from garage sales
and cut them apart for my cards.
The yellow flower and the gem you see are both from old earrings.

I have some honeycomb papers I bought a few years ago,
so drug them out and added a circle one for fun!

The Fussy and Fancy girls have GORGEOUS projects to inspire you
so, why not head on over and take a peek and join in with us.
I am always in awe of their creations and feel blessed to be part of the team!!

I wanted very tiny butterflies that were layered
which I cut apart to get the tiny butterflies you see.
Just a couple of quick snips is all it takes!

I went with some very easy and quick flowers using

I stamped my OLD 2010 SU sentiment with Versamark
and used Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Fine Detail EB powder.

Your Own Kind of Beautiful

This is my post at the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.
Did you know they have FREE shipping right now
on all your orders...wow...how often do you see that?
Take a peek at the store...lots and lots to see there!

Hello, Diane here with you today with another project using the beautiful
Dreamweaver Peacock stencil.

I stenciled my peacock on white card stock using White Embossing Paste,

applying with a Palette Knife.

Starting from the outside in, I added Misty Blue glitter, tapped it off,

added my next color, and repeated each step until completely covered.
Other colors of SNS glitter used on the peacock were Parisian Mist,
Waterfall, and Cherry Lemonade for the Peacock "crown".

I let this dry overnight, then adhered it to a metallic card stock

The sentiment is from Shabby Chic Birdhouse stamp set,

stamped with Black Detail embossing powder.

The card was finished with a bit of trim at the top and a glittery ribbon.

I encourage you to give stenciling a try...it is so fun, and when done

you will have a beautiful and unique project!

This is my post live at the Dies R Us  blog today...enjoy!!

Hi there!
It's Thursday and my time to share a card with you
using a few fun new dies I just received!

I make lots of fancy and fussy cards,
but today I went an entirely different route!
A bit more clean and simple and easy to mail!

on white card stock using
TH Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade and Peacock Feathers.
I cut out a circle with Memory  Box Stitched Circles layers.
This one is no longer in stock, but did you know if you
typed in the word "stitched" in the search box
many more will come up to choose from?
You can do this with any word and it is amazing how many fun dies
you can find that way!

My sentiment was stamped on with Versamark,
then embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Detail EB powder.
The stamp is a Magenta, if interested.

From scrap paper I cut Memory Box Surely Stitched Circle.
A few little flowers from my stash were added.

Don't forget to enter our Dies R Us Anniversary challenge.
It is all  month long celebrating Dies R Us 1st Anniversary!!
There will be FIVE lucky winners chosen to win a gift certificate...
