The Sea

This is my post on the

Hi, Diane with you today.

Once in a while I have a need for a masculine card
and I thought this image from
Sweet 'n Sassy stamps called The Sea would be perfect.

I stamped the image with unicorn white ink
on blue card stock.
This was layered on red, then white card stock.

The sentiment is part of The Sea stamp set,
it was stamped in red, then popped up with Joy! Small Foam Pads.

I tied red/white  twine around using
then tied on an anchor from the Impression Obsession Mini Nautical Set
cut from Luminized Curious Metallic card stock.

It was a very quick, but classy card I think!

Flip Flop Card

Here I am again with another awesome Flip Flop card using the cut files

I am so addicted to these flip flops...maybe I should make a pair of them..LOL.

I actually made this flip flop for an upcoming DT challenge
but realized the colors were wrong.....
so being this is an anything goes week for the DT at The Cutting Cafe
I decided to use it for my project this week.

I did machine stitching around the entire flip flop.
I made the strap a bit 3D...you can do it flat for mailing if you like,
but I just love how it looks like a real flip flop the way I did it!

Make sure and visit The Cutting Cafe blog on the 21st
as ALL the DT will have their projects there to inspire you.
Check out all the cut files Regina has in her shop...
there are TONS of them and all so reasonably priced!!

White on White Summer

Hi there,
This is my post on the Dies R Us blog today!
I hope you enjoy it and would LOVE for you to visit there and leave a comment....
thank you!!

Can you believe it's already Thursday,
the middle of July, and my turn to inspire you once again?

I made a pretty (though difficult to photograph)
white on white summer card!

I embossed the background with Darice Quilt Blocks embossing folder.
I started layering with Cheery Lynn Designs Waltzing Matilda Lace Doily die.

Next came Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish.
I cut Cheery Lynn Designs Birdhouse With Lattice
and popped it up over the flourish
Behind it I tucked a white fluffy feather and a "crystal" flower.

Last, I added a bird using Cheery Lynn Designs Feathered Friends.

Make sure and visit Monday - Friday
with a new design post each day.

We hope you enjoy this surprise Mini Reveal as much as we have enjoyed creating new projects for it.  And hopefully, we have inspired you as well.  Look for more of these cute chicks in the future too :-).

Now for my cards.

The first card I made using the adorable stamp set Cool Chicks.
I colored my bird  with Copics and just had to add the google eyes!

The background is a Cherry Lynn Designs chicken wire die.
I cut it, then cut it apart to make it bit more "ragged".
I adhered it to some sticky back tape then added Waterfall Glitter.

The sentiment was inked with Versamark, then heat set

I finished with a pretty bow and an embellishment.

The next card, I just love, it is so full of pretty, happy colors!
I stamped the chicks using Birds of a Feather and Cool Chicks.
I colored them both with Copics and added Sugar Plum glitter
to the shoes and flower of the first bird

and Spirited Green Glitter to the high heels of the second.
A Viva Cream Pearl Pen was used for her pearls.

For the Sun I used Lemonade glitter for the center
Color Burst Lemon Yellow for the outside.

Now you need to continue on your way
and
The next stop on the hop is MARIE

Happy Birthday To YOU!!

We wanted to wish
Darlene a  very HAPPBIRTHDAY today in a special way!
Hope you will join in the fun and get some amazing birthday card ideas along the way.
We also hope you will stop over to Darlene's blog and wish her a
Happy Birthday !
Let the party begin!!!!

Diane that's me
Darlene....our birthday girl

 Here's my card.....
I have known Dar for quite some time now.....the last two years
she has come to Michigan and stayed here....
we have had some really good and fun times!

I also know that 2 of her favorite things are "flip flops"
(she even wears them in the winter)
and the color PURPLE!!

So what better card could "I" make for her
other then a purple flip flip card!!!

I used this super, super cute and easy cut file from
The Cutting Cafe -  Flip Flop Card!
I could sit and make dozens of these!
(in fact, come back next week, as I have another to share)

I have to admit my stock of purple paper is not good.
But I had some gorgeous purple paper from
Classy Cards 'n Such called Purple Silk.
It does feel like silk, too!
The purple flower is one I have had forever
from my stash!

So I want to wish you a very Happy Birthday Dar
and I hope Mark takes you out for dinner
and a little wine,
(I say "little" as I remember the last time you had wine while you were here...teehee)!!

I wish you all the best and many, many more to come my friend!!!

Next stop is Jenny....or you can start all over!!!

Christmas In July at Dies R Us

Yes, you read the title right....
It's Christmas in July at the Dies R Us challenge blog.
Now stop complaining and sighing....LOL
just think, you will be one Christmas card ahead just by joining
in our challenge!

I used a favorite embossing folder (I think I say that a lot..lol)
but really, look how beautiful this folder is,
for my background.

The holly is Cheery Lynn Designs Holly Lace Flourish.
I added a few red pearls to it for the berries.

The cardinal is a newly purchased
Cheery Lynn Designs Feathered Friends die.
it has 4 different birds in this set
and I love the size of them.
I rarely read the sizes of the dies I purchase,
so I am usually pleasantly surprised when they arrive!

To finish this simple card, I just added a bow
and a stamped image from SU Perfect Presentation stamp set.

This card was so fast, easy and simple to do,
I might make this my "in a pinch, need a card in a hurry" Christmas card!

Head on over to the Dies R Us challenge blog,
join in with us and you could be the lucky winner,
a gift certificate is given away at the end of every challenge.

Also, check out the Dies R Us store....
a whole slew of new dies are in...and yes there are CHRISTMAS newbies!!

Don't forget to visit our
Dies R Us inspiration blog.
You will see lots of inspiring ways
to use dies for the very creative Design Team!

Digis for Debbie Fun Raiser Hop

I have joined a fundraiser  and all the information is below...I do hope you take time to read it...I feel it is for a very good cause.
The links can be found at the bottom of the post.

Here is my card using the fundraiser images I purchased.

Good morning and welcome to the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Blog Hop.  Recently, we learned that Mrs. Debbie Lynch, the beautiful and loving mother of Heather Dennis, owner of Fresh Brewed Designs, was diagnosed with a rare form of uterine cancer.  As most of you may know, cancer related medical costs can be quite expensive, and Mrs. Debbie currently has no medical insurance, which makes the cost significantly higher.  Therefore, we have decided to help raise enough money to cover these medical expenses, as well as aftercare expenses, by creating a digi shop.

All the proceeds of the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop and the Fresh Brewed Designs Store will go directly to Mrs. Debbie to fund her lifesaving surgery and the aftercare necessary to bring her back to wellness.  Furthermore, Heather has created a Give Forward account to assist her mother.  If you would like to help, please stop by the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop, the Fresh Brewed Designs Store, and/or the Give Forward Account.  For those of you who are not able to contribute monetarily, we would love for you to add Mrs. Debbie to your prayer list.  If there is one thing we know, prayers can work miracles that money cannot and healing and wellness is what we are praying to receive.

The hop launches today, Tuesday, July 14th on the Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge Blog, and will run until Tuesday, July 28th @ 11:59 PM Eastern Time.  All participants can be found in the linkies section of *this post on the Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge Blog, and we would love to have you join us!  We do ask that you use a digi from the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop or the Fresh Brewed Designs Store, and the theme is Anything Goes, and you can enter as often as you would like.

Two prize packages will be awarded, one prize for a digi purchaser and one prize for a blog hop participant.  Winners will be chosen on Saturday, August 1st.  The prizes will consist of stamps, papers, ribbon, embellishments, etc.; plus, some random prizes will be offered by some generous blog hop participants along the hop.

Thank you for dropping by and for helping us with our fundraising efforts; and again, we ask that you keep Mrs. Debbie in your prayers.  Have a wonderful Tuesday, crafty friends!  We look forward to admiring your creations! :)
