Let It Snow

Oh Oh...it is only 10 days until "the BIG Day".....
are you ready yet??
Our family Christmas is the 20th.....
and am 'I' ready...
heck no, I am 'by the seat of my pants' kind of gal..LOL!!

Our weather here in Michigan has been wonderful....
at the writing of this (12-13) it is 65 out!!
Last year at this time we had way past 34" of snow already!
I am NOT complaining!

But, I do have a "SNOW" card for the new challenge at
Dies R Us which is "Let It Snow"....
my kind of snow!!

I started with a SU Night of Navy card stock.
I added a white panel that I placed
Cheery Lynn Designs Snowflowers #1 and Snowflowers #2
on and die cut out.

I then ran the panel with the negative cuts through my Big Shot
with a snowflake embossing folder.
The snowflower die cuts I coated with glue and sprinkled glitter on,
then popped them up over the negatives.
Matching pearls were added to the centers.
I have to admit these snowflower dies are a favorite of mine,
they just seem to be the perfect size for cards!!!

I added Really Reasonable Ribbon (gorgeous isn't it?) and a bow with a (of course) "Let It Snow" sentiment.

This is a super easy challenge and I hope you will visit the
Dies R Us challenge and see more inspiration from the team....
heck why not join in with us and you could be the winner of our prize!!

Be Merry

This is my card on the

Hi Diane here with you today,
with another Christmas card to share.

I started with a red card stock base,
then embossed white card stock with
Crafts-Too Dots embossing folder.

I cut a circle with Spellbinders original circle die,
then stamped my sentiment using JustRite Christmas Inner Thoughts.

The wreath was cut with a Cottage Cutz Whimsical Holiday Wreath die.
You should take a peek at this die, as not only does it come with the
separate bow and flower dies I have used, but there is a gingerbread,
bell, gift box, dove, deer, ornament and another flower to choose from.
These would also be great dies for gift tags.

The wreath itself was cut from an embossed metallic paper I had
and a piece of craft foam underneath to give it a bit of depth.

The red flowers and bow were cut using Stardream Jupiter Metallic paper.

To the bow and flower centers, I added Silver Rhinestones.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Happy Holidays

This is my post on the
Dies R Us blog today!!

We are getting closer and closer to
'The Big Day"....
do you have all your Christmas cards made yet??
There is still plenty of time...so get busy!!

The card I have to show you today was 'built'
entirely around the snippet of paper you see on the left!

I added a pretty edge to the side of it (listed below),
embossed the other side and went from there.

Next came the snowflake doily, so prettily detailed.

The bird is a Stampendous stamp colored with Copics,
then cut out with a stitched circle.

I cut the holly from a scrap piece and also from a white craft foam,
which gives it a lot of dimension on the card.
I added a few cranberry pearls  and to finish I added a
pretty bow using RRR ribbon.

Here are the dies I used:
Impression Obsession Border Duo 2
Cheery Lynn Designs Holly Flourish
Wild Rose Studio Snow Doily (currently out of stock)

Don't forget to visit our challenge blog and enter
for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store.
And remember.... dies make a great Christmas gift...want my list..lol??

Thanks for visiting with me today!

Christmas Color Challenge at The Sisterhood

This week I am 'subbing' as hostess at The Sisterhood of Crafters.
The theme chosen was a color challenge,
using the colors Red~Aqua~Silver.

I chose to make a clean and simple card using my dies,
it will be so easy to mail!

I used paper from Basic Grey Evergreen for my background.
It reminded me a pretty winter sky.

A star spray was cut using a Sue Wilson die
and a little birdie cut from metallic paper
landed right on it when I wasn't looking...lol.

I stamped a sentiment from JustRite and for
a bit of sparkle I added a few red sequins!

Now this is a card that could be mass produced
very easily..hmmm...just might have to do that!

Pop on over to The Sisterhood and see what my 'sistahs'
have to inspire you with...we would love to have you join in with us!

And on another note, there is a new blog coming to town called
'Double D Challenges'
check it out and there is still time to apply for a position...
you will find it at the top of my blog!

Little Gold Angels

This is my post for our latest challenge
using the inspiration photo below.
You are welcome to use my discount code
DIANE-10 anytime to save 10% on your order.

Hi Diane with you today.
Our challenge theme this week is angels.

I used a cream card stock for my base card.
I added a layer of Super Gold Metallic card stock
with a snowflake embossed layer on top of that.

Two trees were cut from Impression Obsession Fir Trees.
I slightly used a brown ink around the edges.

I decorated the trees with Impression Obsession A Choir of Angels
using the same Gold Metallic paper I mentioned above.

I also added snow to the trees
by using a Marvey Uchida Snow Marker.

To finish the card, two deer were die cut using
Impression Obsession Small Deer.
I inked around the edges of these as well.

I have to say I wish you could see this card in real life.
It is extremely difficult for me to capture the beauty of
a lighter card,
I think Santa needs to bring me new photo software and camera!

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Sending Christmas Wishes

It's that time again where all the designers have come together
to share and inspire you with their latest creations

This time around Regina asked us to make "treat cups"!!

OMGoodness, these are so cute,
and there are so many to choose from.
(Take a peek HERE)!

It comes with so many extras to decorate with if you wish!

I decided to dress up my tree with strands of pearls and
tiny pearls for ornaments.

I added a bow, a glittery red star and a sentiment.
The candy inside is little Hershey Santa Hat kisses!

I made my tree in browns, teals, and red as the
person  have in mind to "treat" with this loves that color combo!

Make sure to pop on over to The Cutting Cafe blog on the 7th (today)
and see all the DT treat boxes....you won't want to miss it!!
IF the post isn't up yet...it will be soon...have fun)!!!
