Just A Little Crafter Kitty

Well, if you read yesterday's post you know I am gone until Monday!
Soooo
I thought I would share a few funny pictures of my very crafting
(and annoying at times)
crafter kitty Freckles.

First let me tell you how Freckles came to live with us.
One Friday night we had come home from having dinner out
and out of nowhere came this screaming, crying little kitty
with the most unusual face and colors.
(she has one eye ringed in black and the other ringed in red)

Just a little thing she was....
well first thing the hubby said was
"you are not bringing that cat inside."

Well a few nights later it was raining hard and the poor kitty was sleeping,
for safety in the crab apple tree. (poor little thing)
so I would bring her in and hold her until bedtime
He finally took pity on her one night and HE brought her in..the old softy..lol!

We had her spayed and she has been a house kitty ever since...
oh and BTW, she travels with us 5 1/2 hours to our north house with 3 other cats.

She pretty much spends all her time in my craft room with me
(and just this morning she  ran off with 2 bundles of my craft flowers).

So one day while I was running my Cricut Explore I had a bit of help.

But she didn't stop there, as she also tried her hand at die cutting
with my Cuttlebug.

After all her crafting, she is plain worn out...lol!!

Fruit Note

I am 'on the road' again as you read this,
but will return on Monday.
this will probably be our last 'north' trip
until at least October when we go to our North house (as we call it)
for my birthday.
Wow, I don't like how fast this year has gone by...
hard to be believe I have winter to look forward to ...NOT!!

I have a pretty fall card  I made using a digital image
This is available as a digital only.

I printed it out then colored it with my Copics.

Once done I used the new Nuvo Glue Pen Small
and added it to various places on the fruit
adding
Parisian Mist glitter to the green grapes,
Sugar Plum glitter to the purple grapes,
Golden Wheat Velvet glitter to the wheat and leaves, and
Cherry Lemonade glitter to the peaches.

I ran Tear-ific Tape 1/" around the edges of the digital,
then added Golden Wheat Velvet glitter .

To finish, I made a bow using

I don't have many pictures of my steps on this one,
but I think it is pretty much self-explanatory..lol!

Make sure and stop back on Sunday to see another new stamp release
project using a Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp!

County Fair

It's County Fair time at Dies R Us challenges!
Come visit the challenge blog and see
all the fun 'county fair' inspiration!

I had a couple ideas rolling around in my head
for this one and settled on my farm animals die.
The die I used is
Die-Versions Sweet Petites Farm Animal Border.
(colored with some Copics)
The entire card was built around that.

I started with cutting a gingham hill background using
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders,
adding the animal border to that,
then Impression Obsession Grass Border .

Some calico
Impression Obsession Clouds and a few sequins
were added to the top of the card.

And, of course you can't have a county fair without a
blue ribbon!
I made my ribbon using
and the smallest circle from
Die-Versions Stitched Nesting Circles
and a rosette.
However, you could use X-cut Rosettes.

Cheerful Garden Frame

This is my post on the
Tutti  Designs blog today.

Happy Thursday!

Feeling cheerful today?
I have something that will even make you more 'cheerful'!
A new die Tutti Designs has released is

Here is my card using this die.

This card was quick and easy to make.
A great die when you need a fast card to send out,
Not only does it cut beautifully,
but it is so elegant and detailed and can be cut in minutes!

I simply cut the die from a colorful paper
which I think adds 'interest' to the flowers.
It was adhered to a card stock that shows off the colors well.

To finish I added a few gems to the centers of the flowers
and a tiny scrap of ribbon to the bottom.
Couldn't get any easier then that!

Color Challenge at The Sisterhood

Darlene is our hostess and she has chosen
a Halloween Color Challenge using the colors below.
It does not have to be a Halloween creation, just use at least 2 of the  colors.

The first thing I did was grab a cute graphic from the
G45 paper package 'Time To Flourish'.
It had every one of those colors in it...perfect!

I already had the orange frame die cut,
and it seemed to 'frame up' the image perfectly!
I added a bit of purple sparkle
(which you can't see) to various parts of the image
and a BOO button as well.

I made a 5 1/2" square card from black card stock
and used a pretty Halloween paper for the background from my stash.

I cut a spider web on my Cricut Explore,
then punched a spider from a scrap piece of foil card stock.

I popped the frame up, then added a few
Halloween color sequins to the web for 'sparkle'.

Head on over to The Sisterhood and see what my 'sistahs'
have created...hope to see you there!

Morning Chat

This is my blog post on the
Tutti Designs blog today.

I have the most sweetest and adorable die to share with you today!
It is from the new release and called
Not only a cute die but a cute name as well!

Here is the card I created.

Myself, I love the clean and elegant look of a silhouette.
Nothing better to achieve that look then a black card stock!

I used a black card stock as the base,
then cut a white card stock panel and embossed on it.
I think you get a cleaner look that way then embossing
on the card front itself, plus I like the layers!

The embossing folder I used had embossed corners only,
making it a perfect choice for my little girl die cut
to sit in the center.

Tiny white pearls were added to the center of each flower
and a pretty yellow bow to complete.

I kind of wonder what they are having their
'morning chat' about, don't you?

Down On The Farm

Well my friends September is here and it is starting to
feel a bit like fall here in Michigan.
It's odd, but the air and days just 'feel' different.
(edited to add)  Except for today, it is
hot~hot~hot!!
I was up and down all night with the heat
and they say next week it is to be a cool 40
at night....only in Michigan
can you wear shorts one day and long johns the next...LOL!!

We have a new challenge up and running today at
and I have put together this awesome tile/mood board
to give you lots of inspiration!

Our theme is
'Down On The Farm'

I made a rather large card as the dies I used were rather large themselves!

I got in my scrap bags of papers and pulled out a piece of
what I believe was from SU paper
and used it for a sunny background!

I have to admit, I ordered this die  (Elizabeth Crafts laundry) specifically for this challenge
(I am known to do crazy things like that)
and have to say it was very 'picky' but also very fun to work with.

I cut the quilt ,then ran a bit of distress ink over it to pick up the design a bit more.
The 'long johns'  were cut from cordinations paper, then sanded to give
a bit of detail and a worn look.

Check out those tiny, tiny clothes pins...goodness yes,
I cut them out and glued them on...very fiddly!

Grass, chicken feed (glitter and frantage) and of course the chickens  (Impression Obsession) were added
for an even more 'farm look'!

To finish I added a stamped sentiment and ribbon and jute twine!

Now you have to, and I mean HAVE TO
head over to the Double D blog and see
what the design teams have created....
WOW...gorgeous and fun, fun creations!

as always, there is a fabulous prize to be won!
