Eggs-traordinary Kindess

This is my post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today!

Hello, Diane with you today using one our new stamp sets

released this month 'Eggs-traordinary Kindess'.

I decided to use one of previous released stamps

'Summer Grilling' #2

and using the digital version so I could print it card size.

I first printed the image the size I wanted

(easy using Micro-Soft word)

on card stock and printed it a second time on just plain copy paper.

I fussy cut both images out, leaving the ties off both.

I used the copy paper image as a pattern and traced it onto a

yellow gingham designer paper, then fussy cut it out.

I did this as I didn't want to use the pocket image on this particular card.

I inked the edges of the apron with  TH distress ink Mustard Seed.

The egg image was stamped  with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink,

then die cut using a Tutti designs Stitched Oval die.

I colored the image with Copics, then added it to the apron front.

I also added a small blue pocket and the sentiment that had been embossed

with Daffodil embossing powder.

To the bottom of the apron, I die cut a Flower Border edge (Precious Maieke),

coated it with Brushable Glue, then adding Lemonade glitter.

I added glue, more glitter about 3 times until I satisfied with the look,

This a semi transparent glitter and so pretty!

The edge was then attached to the apron bottom with

1/4" Tear-ific Tape.

I think my apron turned out super cute and will make a great

card to send to a friend!

You Are Egg-stra-Ordinary

Today I have another newly released for January stamp set from
Sparkle N Sprinkle called
Eggs-tra-ordinary.

I thought this was such a fun set to work with!

I used a gingham paper as my background, 

but added a die from Memory Box Baptisa Collage

that I glittered with Waterfall glitter after first applying

Nuvo Large Glue Pen.

The image was stamped, then colored with Copics.

It was then die cut with a Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Oval die.

I used Versamark to stamp the sentiment (part of the stamp set)

and embossed with Cerulean embossing Powder.  

The card was simply finished with a bow and button.

I love the black and white cards as they always seem so elegant and classy!

Funny thing about my card,
I was cruising through Dies R Us as there were a few things I wanted to order
and I saw this wreath and thought how pretty it was
and thought to myself, I like this so much I am surprised
I haven't ordered it before.
Then I thought hmmm, maybe I did, so I looked in my die stash
and sure enough I already had it...I guess that tells you I 
have way too many dies....but working for a die company, that is bound to happen!

I used a 'new to me' Cuttlebug folder I purchased just before Christmas
and die cut the word celebrate, I cut it 3 times and stacked them one on the  other.

The little sparkle butterfly was cut from a glitter dotted paper.

I print my cut files on my Cricut Explore

but the file comes in many formats (all are included)

as well as a PDF file if you don't have a cut machine.

I used some pretty pink card stock and 'snippets' of design paper.

I also added stickles around the scalloped sentiment,

 a pretty ribbon (that's the last piece) bow

and a heart button.

The sucker stick is a straw.

The back, which I haven't shown,

has a little pull out for the recipient to get the candy out.

I have a fun card to share today created with one of the newly released

The new stamp set I used today is

Emily Showers of Life.

I stamped this sweet little image on a Tutti Nesting Square die cut,

then colored her with my Copics.

I added a tiny bit of Cloud Nine glitter to her umbrella and a bit to her eyes.

The raining hearts were glittered with Tyrian.

A Cherry Lynn Designs Sophie's Heart was die cut

then I used my fingers to rub Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Lilac Lavender all over it.

I gives it a beautiful sheen.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark

then embossed with Fabulous Grape embossing powder.

I know it is hard to see, but I used a WR Memories heart EB folder

on the card base.

Along the edge of the card I added Tear-ific Tape 1/8"

and coated it with Tyrian glitter as well.

A butterfly was die cut with  Joy Fantasy butterfly die

then 'painted' with Nuvo Glimmer Paste Amethyst Purple.

Winter Blues at Dies R Us Challenge

Do you have the winter blues?

Well we certainly do at the

Dies R Us challenge blog

as our theme just happens to be 

'Winter Blues'.

I did a somewhat clean and simple card

using a 'new to me' die I recently purchased

from the Dies R Us store.

I think this cute little birdie die

'Penny Black Wonder-Joy die is the sweetest!

I used white card stock to die cut,

then added a bit of Nuvo Large Glue Pen

and sprinkled with Sparkle N Sprinkle Sparkle N Soft Twinkling Clouds

to the branches.

Nesting Stitched dies?

They are fabulous and so reasonably priced too.

I used the Nesting Stitched Ovals, then embossed it.

I tilted it slightly on my paper.

I finished off with a pretty ribbon and snowflake button.

Easter Chicky

This is my post at the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today!

Diane here with you today with a bit of Spring

to brighten up your day!

January had a BIG reveal of new stamp sets

and one is Easter Chicky.

I made a pretty Spring Easter card with lots of fun products!

Once I had stamped and colored my image with Copics,

I used a Stitched Nesting Oval die from Tutti Designs 

to die cut it out.

I also die cut a Sylvan Spring from PoppyStamps.

Once the sprig was cut, I used my 'finger' tool to apply 

Nuvo Embellishment Mouse Spring Green all over it.

I love how this gives a nice shiny and very pretty finish.

While it was wet (it dries very quickly), I quickly sprinkled a

small amount of Parisian Mist glitter on, (sparingly) as I want the shine

to really show through.

I embossed the sentiment with Daffodil embossing powder,

then used a 1" round punch to punch it out.

I also stamped the egg shell top and popped it up

on the chicks head after fussy cutting it out.

The single flower and the group of flowers were stamped

and colored with Copics, then Hyacinth glitter was applied.

Both were also fussy cut and popped up.

The gingham oval was die cut using the same Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting ovals.

This is such a cute, cute stamp set and I think it made a cute, cute card!
