Tea Party

we have a new challenge and is be hosted by our 'sistah' Vickie
with a theme of
'Let's Have A Tea Party'!

I did a pretty simple card just featuring a pretty 'tea' designer paper.
When cutting that I don't know what I did but I measured wrong
so the fix was to add an embossed strip up the side.
There again I wish I had done something a bit different with that
but it is what it is.

The little sentiment is part of the paper pad I used too,
which by the way is called 'Enchanted Tea Party.
The other little bits I added were just a few pieces laying around.

Head on over to The Sisterhood
to see all the amazing inspiration from my 'sistahs'!!

Love Heart

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today using the beautiful
Tutti Designs 'LOVE HEART' die.

This is a really nice large heart which doesn't call for much more
as it makes a nice statement just on it's own.

For my first card I used a few pretty designer papers for the background
one being a metallic that  I embossed with the Swiss dots embossing folder.
I added a red heart bling to one of the hearts
and 3 bling candi's to the bottom.

For the second card I used a larger polka dot pattern for the background,
added a circle on top
then die cut my die with a smaller polka dot pattern.
A few pink glitter hearts were added and a purchased Rose.

Here is the link for the love heart:

Mackinac

I wanted to share a picture of my
handsome big boy Mackinac better known as MACK...he turned two in September
and has turned out to be such a good boy, after his puppy shenanigans of course!

This is where he likes to sit and watch for deer, squirrels and anything else
he might see!

I also wanted to mention that I will pretty much be off the 'net' until the 17th
(weather depending on our travels home, it's a 5 1/2 hour drive one way)
as we are headed out for about 10 days to our lake house.

I am sure you have all heard about the beach erosion on the great lakes.
We are lucky enough that we aren't on a bluff like so many but level with the lake, however
here is a picture we took in October and you can see how close we are to the lake (Huron).
And of course we are now facing this...SNOW!
Sorry I took this picture thru the screen and it's kind of grainy lol...right after the New Year.
There is way more snow there now.

Have a great day everyone!!

Hearts Challenge

It's a new challenge theme at Double D
and it is 'hearts'.

Look at the pretty cool hearts on the mood board below and let it inspire you,
I know it did me.!!

Can you tell I loved the upper left hand corner and that is where my
inspiration came from...
but the mood board is to inspire you,
you just need a heart somewhere (or many) on your creation!

I started out with vellum over my white card stock
then added a white scalloped circle using a Cottage Cutz nesting die.
I die cut a metallic pail and added a few greens, flowers and hanging hearts.

I stamped the tiny sentiment on another nesting die.

Make sure to pop on over to the Double D challenge blog
as the Design Team has once again (and as always)
outdone themselves with more inspiration!

Falling Hearts Stained Glass

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today using the
Tutti Designs Falling Hearts Stained Glass die.

I die cut from black card stock then adhered to vellum
and carefully trimmed around the edge.
I then used various red and pink Copics to color in on
the back side of the vellum
then flipped it over and adhered it down to a metallic  card stock
that I had cut from a Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle.

For the next card I used a fun and easy technique.
using a somewhat flat pan you add water
then drop different colors of nail polish on top of the water
and slightly swirl it with a Popsicle stick.
Lay the paper on top, lift off and let dry.

This is so fun as you will never get two alike.
I then adhered my die cut and hand cut carefully  around.

It's A Girl Thing Blog Hop

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!
Prize Winners will be announced on February 15, 2020.

Thirty-six caring Sponsors and nine DT Members are offering prizes to commenters and they are helping bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome

Nine designers are offering prizes on their personal blogs as well:

My TS related project is inspired by the TSA official color board:

Make sure now to visit the "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop 2020  page to become eligible for prizes.

BLOG LINK for the HOP

I created three cards for the hop.
The first one using some digitals supplied by Donna Ellis.
I printed the sentiment, then die cut it out,
added a die cut flower...pretty simple but effective I think.

For the second and third cards
I used digitals created by Jan Mahew.
I am still in the learning process of
working with digitals and combining them
so don't judge LOL!

Card #3

I think all in all they turned out pretty well.

I have TWO prizes to give away but due to the size and weight of these I can ship to the USA only.....
also these are edge dies and they are pretty BIG
but great for a scrapbook page.
Just leave a comment below and tell me
where you are from.
