Hanging Love

Hi Tutti fans!
Today I have this gorgeous die to share with you
Hanging Love!

It is so delicate and pretty.
All I did was die cut it from a pretty lavender print paper,
added pearls and flowers and a trim piece at the bottom.
A fabulous die for any special occasion!

Stenciling At The Sisterhood

Our next challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters 

is being hosted by our 'sistah' Su and she has chosen the theme of 

'STENCIILS'.

I loved this choice as I have a drawer full of stencils that were just 

'itching' to come out and play!

I pulled out a NBUS stencil from Tim Holtz called 'Doily'.

I created a somewhat simple card by just using various

Distress inks and a mix of the Distress Oxide inks.

I have a little ziploc bag of snippets of card stock like the one above

that I keep on hand to use for sentiments.

The sentiment is from a set I won  years and years ago

Precious Remembrance Shop 'Friend'.

Drum Set and Musical Stave

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hello Tutti Fans!!
How about a little music for the soul today!
Today I am using two fabulous dies
Drum Set AND Musical Stave.

Super easy card just perfect for that
musical person in your life!!

I started with an embossed background
then simply added my musical stave at the top
die cut from some yummy black glitter paper.

The drum set was cut from an orange metallic paper...FUN!!

I think this card is going for my grandson's 17th birthday,
just think of all the fun colors this could be die cute from!!

Weddings Challenge

It's time for a new challenge theme at
Double D and it is
WEDDINGS!

A good theme for the month of June don't you think?

We have a special mood board just to inspire you.

I had an order for a card for a destination wedding in the Florida Keys
and she wanted it to somewhat represent that.

Both love boating, though speed rather then sail
I still thought this card would be good for them.

I used my gorgeous paper pad from Mintay called Paradise.

The Mintay papers are so beautiful that you don't need much more then that.

What you can't see is that I touched the flowers, leaves and a few other places

with a Stardust pen, adding a bit of just the right amount of sparkle.

I chose this paper as it had both a pink and a blue sailboat

and felt it was great for a couple.

For the inside of the card I did a computer generated sentiment.

I also made a matching envelope.

Doves Love Heart

Today I have a pretty wedding/romance card using the
Doves Love Heart.

I embossed a background then die cut from a heavy white card stock.
Two pearls and a flower were added to make this beauty...
how could it be any easier!!

Summertime Fun

Today is another fun challenge at Dies R Us with a new theme of

Summertime Fun!!

I used some fun dies for this one to make a fun and pretty quick card!

I used a border die from Poppystamps that I saw in a different way

and added to the bottom instead of the top,

hoping it looked like ocean grasses/seaweed.

I added the super cute Cheapo Dies Octopus....

these dies are no longer being made so if you want him

you had better grab him now!

I also used Cheapo Dies Shells and stamped the sentiment

from the SNS set Kaitlyn Mermaid.

We have some exciting news to share with you. Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.  

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

To A Special Couple

Today at The Sisterhood of Crafters

we are being hosted by our 'sistah' Vicki and she has chosen the theme of 

Weddings/Here Comes The Bride.

I have really been trying to create cards that are more 'mailer friendly',

meaning that since the cost of postage has gone up and up,

I am trying not to add so much bulk to them.

For this card I did pop up the embossed panel slightly

and also the laser cut panel and the sentiment.

So did I meet my goal...not quite sure LOL!

The laser cut is from a booklet of laser motifs

that I have had in my stash and am trying to use up,

that being said, you might see more of these down the road here on my blog.

I love how delicate they are.
