Wedding Challenge At The Sisterhood of Crafters

Hi there,
Wow, what a week it was for  me.
The "hubs" and I went out of town for 5 days to celebrate our anniversary!
We had a great time, very relaxing,
which I needed, as I have been working many hours on DT projects
just so I could go!
It felt so good to just do "nothing"
We went for walks, went to Mackinac Island.... rode bikes (which almost killed me..lol),
eating out, listened to a couple of bands.....had lots of fun...
The trip home was "rough" though....
blinding rain and my heart was "a thumping" right out of my chest
as all I could think of was a semi running us over as you could not see "NOTHING!
 and a tornado just east of where we were driving....
it is nice to be home safe and sound for a bit!
Oh, and did I mention we travel with 3 cats and a dog.....
during the "weather" the one cat meowed non-stop at the top of her lungs!!


So, anywho, that brings me to my card I made for the newest challenge
Darlene is our hostess and she has chosen "weddings" as the theme.

I received this adorable Cottage Cutz "Wedding Birds" die at Christmas
and this is the first chance I have had to use it!

I decided right off to make a "shaker" card!
Aren't they the cutest little birds, him in his tux and she in her veil?
I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder "Dots"...
I still think out of all the folders I have
(and I have plenty)
that this one is the one I have used a ton of times!
The sentiment is from "Heartfelt Creations".

    I adore this card - so clever and just perfect as a Wedding card. The birds are just darling - I might need to go and look for this die set :)

    So glad to hear you had a nice time on your mini vacation! But, sorry you had to drive through such nasty weather on the trip home!! Today's card is ADORABLE! Love those little wedding birds and to use the heart die for your shaker window is perfect! GREAT JOB!!!

    I'm so glad you had a wonderful trip (well, except for that ride home - yikes!!) What a wonderful way to celebrate your anniversary!! Your card is so beautiful!! I love the birdie couple!!     Oh, poor kitty! What a treacherous drive home! Bet you wanted to kiss the floor when you walked in. It's always good to come home, but especially after a drive like that! Your time away sounds lovely, though. Meanwhile, I've been here enjoying your DT projects. This card is absolutely adorable! LOVE those birds and the hearts in the shaker. You aced this challenge!

    Glad to hear you had a wonderful time and you are home safe and sound. If I had to take my dogs in the car for vacation, I would have to be committed to the loony bin. They can't be quiet or sit still. Anyway, your shaker card is gorgeous. Those birds are so adorable and I like the heart confetti in the shaker. Fabulous work.
