Wings of a Butterfly

Hello, it is the first Monday of August, can you believe it??
I think the older you get the faster time seems to fly by!!

The first Monday of the month means a new "linky party challenge"
We were asked to do a mixed media project this time around
and I decided to make another collage for my creative wall!

I started with a blank canvas and used various scraps of papers
I had left over from previous projects.
All the background papers you see are from
Birds and Blooms digital paper collection.
I basically just tore them and adhered with Modge Podge.

Once they were dry I made a few fun clouds which I have a tutorial
to show you how I made them with molding paste!

Cut a stencil with your dies from cardboard and hold in place with removeable tape.

Grab your molding paste

Apply a generous amount over your stencil.

Carefully remove your stencil, and it should look like this!

Do your second cloud the same way, or as many more you as you want!
While the paste is still wet, add some glitter for sparkle, as I did here!
Let dry completely!

I also added a bit of interest, using bubble wrap and distress ink.

Now proceed to finish as you would like.

I added a few fussy cut butterfly girls and butterflies cut from Crafty Secrets
and

I also added The words you see from Crafty Secrets

I finished by adding lots of "button" flowers
which I was thrilled to use some of those flowers up!!

Now head on over to the
to see what the DT has been busy working on!
Here are the links...go take a peek!!
