Feeling Green at Double 'D' Challenges

Hi there!
It's already that time for another challenge at

It is also time for Team Diane to hostess
and show their beautiful creations to inspire you
with our theme "Feeling Green"
(optional to add a bit of 'red')
and using the inspiration tile below.

I encourage you to head on over to the challenge blog and
see all the beauty there and to join in with us...
there is a lovely prize up for grabs!!

I decided to go with not only green,
but with shamrocks as well!

I used an older and much neglected 'plaid'
embossing folder for my background.
I thought it had a bit of an 'Irish' flare to it.

I used a background die to cut all my shamrocks,
this die not only cuts the background (which I didn't use),
but cuts out all these various size shamrocks (which I did use).

The bottom layer of shamrocks were cut from a designer scrap (snippets) paper.
For the the top layer, I used water and TH Distress  Marker mowed lawn
on paper, dried it then cut the shamrocks out.

The sentiment is from one of those $1 stamps I buy
and never seem to use (NBUS).

I added a bow with ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon
which I added a glitter shamrock to
and a few sequins for extra 'sparkle'!

Now head on over to the Double 'D' Challenges,
you will be glad you did!

Entering the following challenges:
#1Pixie's Snippets Playground .... Snippets
#2NBUS #6 ....Never Before Used Stuff

#3The Card Concept .... Shamrocks, Patterns and Greens
entering in the classy and elegant..greens and shamrocks for me!

#5(PIN)spirational

  16. I'll never catch up with how far behind I am after being sick (still sick, but better), but I have to stop here and tell you how awesome this St Patty's wreath is! What a clever idea. Love the one glittery shamrock and the green sequins. I have the plaid embossing folder, I think. Not sure if it's the same. Mine has such a large pattern I've always thought it almost too large for cards. Yours sure makes the perfect background for your wreath!
