Hi All,
Last week I mentioned I would have another post using the
Cottage Cutz Tea Time Border die...and this is it!
When cutting my die last week from glossy card stock,
I used a shim, (which with most Cottage Cutz dies you don't need)
so being a glossy card stock, with the shim, it gave a distressed/crazed
appearance on the image.
Actually kind of cool, but not what I was looking for at that time.
However, the wheels were turning and I set it aside for a later use.
I grabbed some TH Broken China Distress ink and rubbed it
on and into the cracks (which BTW you can see better IRL).
I then decided to cut it in half, popped each half up,
added a tiny pearl to each teapot, sugar bowl top.....
I love the way it turned out!
I embossed a white panel with a doily pattern background
and added a ribbon/bow using once again ribbon from the ribbon club
from RRR.
A little 'hello' tag and a heart button were added to finish!

ReplyDeleteOkay, I clicked up close and I can see the effect on the glossy teapots. Way cool! It looks like a particular kind of glaze on real pottery or ceramics. Wow! Cute, cute card and, oh, my gosh, the ribbon and polka dot heart button -- love!
