Spring Bird

Fussy and Fancy
is back with our second challenge for the year
after our long holiday break
and let me tell you it feels 'good'
to be back and getting my 'fussy and fancy' mojo going...lol!

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

Our theme for the next 2 weeks is 'ribbons and lace'.

One of my paper crafting New Year's resolutions was to use  (or try)
as many of my paper scraps (snippets) and pre-cut, pre-stamped things I could.
so, my entire card with the exception of the ribbon and pearls of course,
came from my scrap bags.

The background embossed piece is one I had embossed and never used,
I added a white frame, as that die is one that when you cut it you get
about 5 different size frames, leaving me plenty more to use.
I stuck a tiny snippet of lace
just inside the bottom of the frame...can you see it..lol?

Next I added a birdhouse and tulips, both rejected from a previous project.
The bird is a die cut that while a group of 'us' girlies were at at a
friends house and she had this die and cut each of us one,
I have since bought the die myself from Cottage Cutz.
To finish I simply added pearls and ribbon (bow) from my monthly ribbon club at RRR.

We would love to see your lace/ribbon cards at our
Fussy and Fancy challenge
and don't forget to pop on over and see what my teamies
have to inspire YOU,
and remember, the FAF girls are 'fussy and fancy'
but you don't have to be!

  6. That's one of the prettiest bird dies I've EVER seen! LOVE it! I do see the lace peeking, and I adore the spring green with white. I like always having those frames handy. I've got rectangles, ovals, and squares. Keep them all in separate baggies. Kinda tangled up, but I reach for them a lot. You pulled all these parts together so beautifully, Diane!

  12. I can see why you bought the little bird die for yourself. It is lovely. A really pretty card with lots of layers and embellishments but it still looks 'clean' which I like. Kate P. x

  13. Your snippets card is fussy and fancy and way out of my league, Diane, but I love it! You do amazing things with layers and texture!! Hugs, Darnell
