The Recipe

Trying to get my mojo back after my Mom passed away
has been extremely difficult for me.

That being said, Dar from Dar's Crafty Creations
has challenged me to a challenge to maybe 'prod' me into creating.
She also let me pick the challenge.
So in scrolling through Paper Playful,
I came across the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown
which is a 'recipe' challenge.

The recipe is to use two embossing folders, an image and a sentiment.

For my card I used a fun little stamp that was one of those $1 ones
you see in the craft stores (sentiment is part of it too)
and by using my Tim Holtz stamp platform and Dew Drop ink
Nautical Blue, I was able to get a nice clean image for my card.

My two embossing folders are both
edge folders, one is Sizzix Lace Handkerchief and the other
a flower edge.

For a little bit of bling I added 3 blue pearls.

Now make sure and visit Dar's blog to see her fun~fun creation.
Let's hope this will get me motivated,
this is the first I have been on my computer and in my craft room in weeks!

  4. Diane, you came back with an absolutely fabulous creation! OMG, how I love those birds! $1? I'd be all over that stamp. Too bad we don't have craft stores here, sigh... Love your choice of embossing folders and colors for this. Like I told Darlene, she's a good friend. Hugs!

  6. Beautiful card Diane, I love the colour palette and the sweet image.
It always takes time to come to terms when a beloved parent passes, but there is no rush and on grieving, take it a day at a time, hugs Kate x
