It's The Thought That Counts

Hi All...today is a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
hosted by our  'sistah' Debbie and she has chosen
'It's The Thought That Counts'
meaning we want to see the sentiment as the FOCAL point on your card!

I have been into making more 'simple' cards lately
as the price of mailing seems to be going up and up.

For my focal point I chose a sentiment from B Line Designs.
It has always been a favorite of mine
and I have used it a few times before and decided
it was time to pull it out again.

I stamped it on a scalloped rectangle from Tutti Designs
with Memento Cottage Ivy ink.
I added a few die cut flowers with Nuvo Drops centers
that I colored with copics.
I also added a tiny butterfly die cut from the background paper
top edge which is from Pebbles Garden Party.

Why not take a peek over at The Sisterhood to see all
the fabulous inspiration from my 'sistahs'!!

  1. Very pretty and what a beautiful sentiment! My thoughts exactly while I'm in my flower garden. One of my favorite places to be...lost in thought among beauty and color.

  9. Those two little flowers are the only accent you need with this pretty paper and large sentiment. You just can't ask for more! I bought postage online a while back and I sure know what you mean about the expense. It doesn't stop me from mailing lots of cards, but I'm definitely keeping them to one ounce. I did buy special stamps for square cards, but that's my limit.
