Celebrate

Happy July 4th...almost!
The first of July  brings us to a new challenge at
Dies R Us
and our theme is always Anything Goes!

Thinking ahead to July 4th in the states, I created a patriotic quilt.
This has been a fun and favorite die of mine being I used to
love to sew and can make this 'quilt' many different colors,
it became a favorite for mixing colors and patterns.
You can see another quilt card I created HERE.

As you can see I cut the die out in red~white~blue and a patterned paper
then paper piecing the pieces  where I wanted.
It now leaves me with enough to make 3 or 4 more quilt cards
with variations of the pieced patterns.

Links for the dies I have used:

Want ot join our challenge?
Then head on over to Dies R Us and join in
and see all the inspiration there from the team
there is always a random gift certificate to win!

For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Entering the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday .... ATG
Mix It Up Challenge .... Aperture (tri-angles)

  6. This would be my kind of quilt making. I've made small quilts, but never the patience to make a full size. Then sewing gave way to card making. At any rate, your patriotic quilt card is super cute. Love the patterned paper and the bit of curve you gave the sentiment.

  9. What a great card Diane, very patriotic and all the more as I do associate patchwork with the USA - even though I've done my share over here in the UK.
