Good Luck

We are into our second challenge for the month of MARCH
at Dies R Us
and it is an ANYTHING GOES theme.

I created a celebrate card with a fun horseshoe die from Cheapo dies.
I have mentioned before about these dies hat are no longer being
made but I love each and every one and if you want one get them now
as once out of stock they are forever gone!

My horseshoe was cut from a Tonic Gold Metallic paper.
The embellishment (which is part of the die set)
was die cut with white card stock and colored with markers.

For my background I used another favorite nesting die
Tutti Designs Stitched Postage Nesting die.
The celebrate sentiment is a Tutti Designs
but I don't see it in store anymore so I have given a link
for the category 'celebrate'!
All links are given below the card!

I have a bit of info about the horseshoe as some like to hang it
in different ways and this explains both

While the horseshoe is recognized by many as a symbol of good luck, there is no consensus on the right position to hang the horseshoe to solicit or share that good luck. Some feel it's best hung open-end up to collect luck, while others hang it open-end down to share the luck with others. Generally it is best to hang the horseshoe above an entry door outside, on a barn wall or even on an interior wall as both decor and a good luck charm. Used horseshoes are deemed by some to draw the most luck.

We would love to have you join us at the Dies R Us challenge!!
Take a peek at all the inspiration from the Design Team while there!

For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

  4. Perfect St. Patty's card my friend! Open end up was always the way I was told to hang a horseshoe ... otherwise your luck would 'run out'. At least that's what my dad always said! LOL
Beautiful use of these dies ... well done!

  6. This is such a fun card. Glad you shared the info about the hanging of the horse shoe. I've always believed that it should be open-end up so that the luck doesn't run out :-). I have one hung above my door, but on the inside, and yes I also believe that a used horse shoe brings the most luck :-)
