Our challenge at Double D is all about BIRDS!
We have a fun inspiration board but you can create anything
as long as it has a bird on it!
I think this is the first time I didn't use the mood board for inspiration
but rather followed just the theme!

I had purchased this silly goose stamp last year and felt compelled to use it!
Not sure WHY I bought it except it brought memories of my Dad and his pet goose.
That goose he had was awful!! It was an attack goose and every time you pulled up into
the drive it was there johnny on the spot to attack! You had to get out of your car
and make a run for it to the house and hope you could outrun him lol!
My Mom hated that goose and when my Dad passed away that was the first thing
she got rid of! He would of loved this card!!

Anyhow, the stamp is a Woodware Fuzzy Friends Stamped on a Tonic die. It's kind of large so
I made a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square card. The camera didn't pick it up, but
there is some light gray shading around each goose body.

ReplyDeleteWhat? An attack goose? That is hilarious and I can see the silly geese that you used would remind you of that. I loved how you did these birds with that sentiment. I was turning my head to try and read the outline of the geese. But I got nothing. I guess it is just scribble.

ReplyDeleteI've been so tickled by this card from the minute I saw it! I love their curly feathers. I sang the sentiment to myself to see if it matched the song. You have some great stamps, and I'm a Woodware fan anyway. Your story is as good as the card!

ReplyDeleteWell I love this card. Those geese are the funniest. I had to go look at it and they have other stamps that are squiggly lines too. So stinkin' cute!! I also love that background patterned paper. This card is just THE BEST!!!!

Your reasoning for buying the stamps makes perfect sense to me Diane. I can identify as years ago I bought a Lamb stamp because it reminded me of the one my Granddad had - he used to walk it like a dog, eccentricity was tolerated in those days!
