Hello friends, today at Double D our new challenge starts with a new
theme of Make Your Own Backgrounds.
We have an inspiration board but you can create any background
you want, think inks, powders, stencils, stamps, sprays, and so on!
My background was made with spritzing water on watercolor paper
then sprinkling Nuvo cherry bomb shimmer powder on and spritzing again.
I also used a new Sizzix stamp set and die Butterfly Birthday. I love how this
butterfly stamp has the sentiment on one of the wings. The black doily underneath
is Cheapo die Flower Doily. The greens and flowers came from my already made stash
of homemade flowers from Spellbinders Bold Blooms.
If you like making your own backgrounds or need to challenge
yourself to do so, then come on over to Double D
and show us what you have, check out the amazing
DT creations too!!

Oh that's a fabulous background--the color is wonderfully intense! I have some powders--not sure why I don't us them, thanks for the inspiration! I do love your background but I really love what's on top of it too! The sunflower die is a perfect perch for that awesome butterfly, how neat to have the sentiment on the wings like that! And your floral and foliage are just as beautiful! Such a winner!
