Birthday Cheer

At Can You Handle The Pressure our new OPTIONAL theme is
SEWING but you can create anything as long as an
Embossing  folder is used, that is a must!!

I went with the sewing theme and used a never been used before
EB folder that I have had forever and have never heard of this company
before, Design Objectives.  I have two cards created with this folder
as the first one I did seemed too light to capture the embossing,
but the same result with the second one, I think I am so used to
the 3D embossing and how deep embossed those are that I have
forgotten how light the regular EB folders are.

Card #1
The background color is really a pretty darker lavender
then the color it is showing, sometimes it is really hard to
get 'true' colors when photographing the cards!
Both cards use sentiments from Woodware 'I Meant to'.

Card #2

Our challenge at Can You Handle The Pressure
is a good one to make you get those folders out
and USE them!!

Entering the following challenges:
Cardz 4 Galz #271 .... Embossing
Just Us Girls #814 .... Emboss

  1. The sewing‑themed embossing looks so charming, and I love how you leaned into the optional theme with that vintage‑style folder. The softer impression from the regular folder actually gives both cards a sweet, nostalgic feel, especially paired with the lavender background and those playful Woodware sentiments. It is fun to see how the same folder creates two distinct looks, and your reminder about using our older embossing folders is spot on.

I appreciate your visit to my blog and the kind words you shared. I hope you will stop by again soon.

  2. OH what a beautiful folder and both cards are just lovely! Yes I'm so spoiled with those 3D folders that I too am always surprised at the difference between the two! Still a very pretty folder and your two cards will be well received! Beautiful inspiration!

  3. Well, that is a cute embossing folder! I have a lot of 2D folders that look absolutely amazing, and others that don't do so well. I've recently purged some folders that didn't quite make the grade seeing as how I have limited space anyway. This one has a vintage, timeworn look to it that seems fitting. Pretty!

  4. Those are both wonderful cards, I love how that folder has such a nice space for the sentiment. And I agree, there is such a difference in the 3D folders that we are used to now!

  5. Diane... I absolutely love these cards. Simplicity perfected. Sometimes, the simple use of a product truly brings out the best. Don't laugh, I struggled so much with this challenge. I ended up heat embossing, but why didn't I just feature the embossing folder? Thank you so much for sharing these beauties with Just Us Girls.
