A Merry Christmas

Hello friends, I am back with my second  card this month for our
challenge at Peace On Earth.  We have a mood board for inspiration
but  you can create anything as long as it is Christmas themed.

Being the mood board is all Santa's I went with that and used another of my
Stamperia clear die cuts Classic Christmas
I purchased back in 2024, yes that's right, about time I
started using them don't you think??
I also die cut a Spellbinders oval and rectangle to adhere my Santa to.
I popped up one of the clear holly die cuts on Santa's hat.
A few gems were added for sparkle.  The holly paper is Echo Park's
Have A Holly Jolly Christmas (2023).

Come on over to Peace On Earth and get a head start
on YOUR Christmas cards, we would love to have you!

Old Goat

Today is my brother's 76th birthday so I had to make him a card
that would be perfectly appropriate for him.

Here is my card, do you see the resemblance LOL??
When Stampendous came out with this stamp in 2019 I knew I had
to buy it just for this purpose and here it has sat unused until today,
crazy right?  Unfortunately it seems that when I buy something new
I rarely get to use it right then as I am always working on a DT project.
Well, hopefully that will change as I am hoping to have all all my DT
projects done before the end of the year and have freedom then to
create whatever I want, when I want!!

A pretty simple card that I will be entering into the following challenges:
Sweet Stampin .... Cute Creations
Addicted To Stamps & More #528 ....Birthdays
Crafty Animals #110 .... ATG with Animals
Critter Crazy #115 .... ATG with a Critter

Happy Haunting

Happy 'almost' Halloween!!
We are running strong at Two Old Bats and this is a reminder
that we are halfway through our challenge so hurry and join us.

We have a fun mood board for inspiration but you can create
anything as long as it is Halloween!

I pulled the 'easy' card this time around using Whimsy Stamps
Grunge Ghosts quick card fronts.  I love that you get eight different
panels (no 2 alike) and two sentiment sheets.  Even the front packaging is
useful for tags and such!

The pumpkin in the wreath in the upper right
corner of OUR mood board is what inspired me with this panel.

Come join us at Two Old Bats and be sure to check out the DT
inspiration while there!

Deepest Sympathy

A new challenge starts today at Beautiful Blossoms
and we have a pretty inspiration board perfect for October!
You can create any blooms though in any color.

For my card I once again pulled out a very OLD stamp set from
Flourishes  Garden Picks.  this set has  three different floral images
and a ball glass jar plus a few sentiments.  I am so happy to
have these older stamps designed by Marcella Hawley as her
designs were always beautiful, thank goodness I don't purge!
The flowers were colored in with Copics then die cut with an oval
Sizzix layered die.  The pretty papers are P13 Hello Autumn
that I ran a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Strip to separate the two designs.
The sentiment is from The Ton easy expressions.

We would love to see your 'blooms' over at Beautiful Blossoms!

Fall Paintings

We are well into the FALL theme  at our The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge
and Darlene has a 'bonus' OPTIONAL mood board for you,
but you can create anything fall your heart desires!

A year (or two) back I purchased these beautiful glossy card fronts
from Picket Fence titled 'A Fall Evening".  So many beautiful colors of fall
on these and they make a beautiful card front!
I couldn't stop at one, so I made two plus the fact I am really
trying to use my supplies up.  No need for a sentiment,
these will be great to send a nice fall greeting!

Card #1:

Card #2:

Aren't they beautiful?  They remind me of paintings!
Hope to see you over at The Sisterhood to have some FALL fun with us!

Birthday Challenge at CYHTP

Our OPTIONAL theme at Can You Handle The Pressure is
BIRTHDAY
but you can create anything as long as an embossing folder is used.
We want to see LOTS of embossing, not just a tiny embossed heart
or something like that, after all we ARE an embossing challenge,
let's SEE it!

I first stenciled a few balloons using a
My Favorite Things balloon stencil and Altenew inks.
Once the stenciling was done I drew a few balloon strings then
ran it through my Switch with an old Cuttlebug birthday EB folder.
I die cut a fun bow and added a gem.

We would love to see your embossing folders at our
challenge at Can You Handle The Pressure!!

Forever Grateful

We are into the FALL mode and at Double D we have a fun challenge
that is WINDOWS.  We want to see those pretty windows on your cards.
They don't have to be a fall window but we sure have  a pretty fall window
mood board to inspire!

I was inspired by the bottom left window and also by a Mintay free
paper pack I received with an order from scrapbookdotcom
called Autumn Book.  It is FULL of beautiful fall designs.
I fussy cut my window and a pumpkin for the inside.
The sentiment is Spellbinders Betterpress.

We hope to see your pretty 'windows' at our Double D challenge!!

Grateful For You

This month at Stencil Fun our OPTIONAL theme is
ORANGE
But you can create anything goes as long as a Stencil is used!

I certainly had fun with this theme pulling out my
Waffle Flower Pumpkin Patch Panel die them coloring it with
the matching Waffle Flower Pumpkin Patch Coloring Stencil.
I used all Distress inks
Peeled Paint, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin and
Mustard Seed.  The sentiment is a rub on from Scrapbookdotcom.

For my Anything Goes card I made a quick and easy stenciled card
using a small Picket Fence Studio Mini Erie Night stencil.
For the stenciling I used Distress inks Black Soot and Lost Shadow.
The dies are Tutti Designs, the background paper is
Scrapbookdotcom Ghostly.  I added a few sequins (I couldn't help myself)
and a spooky sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

We would love to see YOUR stenciled creations over at Stencil Fun!!

Spooky Werewolf

Hello friends, it's time for our new monthly challenge at
The Neglected Stuff where there is never a theme but we just
encourage you to use your very 'neglected' supplies
either new or used, just has to have been neglected,
you know those things you bought but maybe put away for later
but later never came, well, it's time to bring them out!!

Being October I pulled out my Halloween/Fall die book
and believe me there was plenty of neglected stuff in there.
Several years ago a friend had given up card making and sent me
a couple boxes of dies, that's where my never used Cheery Lynn Designs
Spooky Tree came from.. I also used a die I have for quite some time
from Cottage Cutz Werewolf which believe it or not is STILL available
for purchase, I purchased it during one of their 85% off sales.
I stenciled a moon and added a bat I purchased back in 2025 from Simon Says.

We would LOVE to see YOUR Neglected Stuff
at our challenge, what a good opportunity to
bring it out and use it

Tricks, Treats & Fun

Saturday was World Card Making Day and I don't normally
have time nor make the time for it
but it's been a bummer of a week as on Friday we had to have our
19 year old kitty put down and it devastated me, so I needed
something to try and take my mind off of it and when I saw
that A Cherry On Top has several challenges to enter
I decided to join in.

This is WCMD #14 which is Halloween.
since my mind wasn't on it 100% I chose the easy way out
by using a Spellbinders Tricks & Treats rub on.
I have to say these rub ons are a high quality that go on very easily.
I used a Memory Box Stitched Square Layers die to place
the image on.  To finish, a piece of black/orange bakers twine
was added.  The challenge goes until the 13th of Oct and there are
several fun themes so I think I'll join in a few more as well!!

On a good note, I won the Whimsy Stamp $50 September
gift card and also won a $25 gift card from Stamp Simply
for the National Coffee Day at Coffee Loving Papercrafters
so it looks like I'll have some shopping fun the next few days!!

Fancy Ornament

Hello Peace On Earth fans, it's time for a new challenge
and we have a mood board for inspiration
but you can create anything Christmas themed.

There is a lot here to inspire if that is how you choose to go,
Christmas Tree~Snowy Trees and Deer, an Ornament or Snowflakes,
even Oranges, Pinecones, Berries and Greens!
I think you can see the gold in the ornament inspired me,
I die cut a Spellbinders ornament from vellum and topped it with
Poppystamps Small Blooming Poinsettias die cuts.  The embossing was done also
using Spellbinders, this time their Holiday Floral Swag EB folder
and popped the panel up.

For even more beautiful inspiration pop on over to the

I went with BLOOMS for my card using a never seen ink before
Penny Black Nature's Glory stamp colored in with Copics
along with an old JustRite Hope and Love stamp for the sentiment.
The card base is Spellbinders Persimmon.

Won't you come and join us at Triple B with one, two or three of the B's?

Ghostly Greetings

Hey friends, our Love Those  Pretty Papers challenge
is starting this month and our OPTIONAL theme is
Things That Go Bump In The Night (Ghosts & Goblins)!

I grabbed a really really OLD paper pad for my 'goblins' card,
Me & My Big ideas Mambi Sheets (2013), told you it was OLD,
but it had several fun goblin images in it that were perfect
for our 'optional' theme!
The background paper is from the same pad.

I popped the 'goblin's up after I added a card stock base
and the sentiment is a Spellbinders rub-on!
Another fun mini slimline card!

For my Anything Goes card I used a paper for my background from
Prima's Pumpkin and Spice 6x6 pad.
The mushroom topping piece is from a Memory Place 12x12
Beary Cozy Collection.  It has 10 pieces that you can easily use
for card fronts as I did.  I purchased this back in November of 2024,
it's about time I used it don't you think?

There you have it, my cards for our October
Love My Pretty Papers challenge!
Hope to see ya there!

Season To Be Spooky

It's OCTOBER at Two Old Bats, can you believe it?
We have a fun mood board for inspiration so get busy
you have an entire month to join us!

I was inspired by the pretty witch in the upper left corner
and she reminded me of a witch I had in my stash from
Brutus Monroe creative card fronts.  There are 36 witches in this package
some are pretty, some downright creepy!!

I cut down an IO frame to fit around her image, added some
Simon Says Stamp bats (popped up of course)  all placed on
Brutus Monroe Vintage Frights paper.

Come and have some Halloween fun with us at Two Old Bats!!

Happy Fright Night

Today at Simply Clean & Simple we have an OPTIONAL theme
and it is 'Something Tiny (keep it small).

Being October I went with a Halloween theme and using a much neglected
SU stamp set 'Eat, Drink & Be Scary, using just the fun little spider
in the set!  I also added a strip of glittered washi tape.  Don't ask me
where I got it as I have had it forever and was surprised it still had it's 'sticky'
strip on it.  Very very SCAS card!  It will be easy to mail!

We would love to have you join our fun challenge at SCAS!!

Spooky

Hello friends, we have a new challenge starting today for the  month
of October at Word Power, the challenge where your
BIG sentiments take center stage!

I'm back again with one of the 99 cent dies I purchased last
year at Simon Says Stamp.  It is a Simon die Large Outline Spooky.
The outline cuts separately so I could of outlined it in  orange, then the letters in black
but to save time and patience (lol) I just kept it all the same colors.
Because I die cut in both orange and black to reverse the letters
from the base I ended up with two cards, might as well make both
then add even more to my 'parts' bins.
Both papers used are Brutus Monroe  Just simple cards
that tell it all!

Card #2

We would love to see YOUR BIG sentiments at
Word Power, so come on over!!

Spooky Night

Colorful Options is back this month with a spooky mood
board and a mix of colors perfect for October!!

Option 1 — Black, Orange, Red & White

Create a project featuring black, orange, red, and white.

Use all four colors together for bold contrast and dramatic impact. Think fiery glow, deep shadows, and striking highlights—spooky, intense, or graphic, your interpretation.

Option 2 — Pick Your Color

Prefer to focus on a single color? Choose one color from the palette: Black (bold, dramatic, high contrast)  Orange (bright, fiery, energetic)  Red (intense, rich, glowing) White (clean, stark, high impact).

Let your chosen color take the lead—minimal, layered, or bold.

I definitely went with OPTION 1 using the colors
    Red~Black~Orange~White.
It took me awhile to figure out how I wanted to use all those colors
together and a Halloween card seemed my only idea and perfect
for October.  I used a Lawn Fawn four sides different cloud stencil with TH Distress inks
and a moon created with a circle stencil I made using the negative piece from a SU circle punch.  ALL the dies used as well as
the sentiment rub on are from Spellbinders.  That fence is a real 'oldie'
I have had for years, it's a bit long but I just snipped it off to fit my A2 card front.
The bats are from a 2024 Sept die of the month, also SB.

I can't wait to see what your 'interpretation' is of the color board!!

    Thankful

It is FALL at The Four Seasons and we have a mood board
for inspiration but you can create anything as long as you keep it FALL!!

There were lots of pumpkins in this mood board so I had to let
those inspire me, but there is plenty more including the colors!!
The pretty plaid background paper is Paper Rose Autumn Plaid,
I die cut a Spellbinders Curved Matting Basics A and stamped my
image, also a Spellbinders Stamp of the month Sept 24 Autumn Wishes
that I purchased from one of their Warehouse sales.  It was colored in
with a mix of Copics, Olo's and Altenew alcohol markers.  The sentiment
is from a large Simon Says Stamp set Thanks & Leaves purchased during one
    of their 99cent sales.
