Winter Snowflakes

We are into a new year with a new challenge theme for our 
Stencil Fun challenge and the theme is WINTER!
But we are an anything goes challenge and the theme is optional!

I did a Winter/Christmas card using a snowflake stencil from
Catherine Pooler called Snowfall!
I added a bit of dimension and sparkle with
Nuvo Crystal Drops which have glitter in them,
Pink Champagne and Dazzling Blue.

Of course I used non traditional colors once again
on this card and have to say it was much easier then the
cards I showed last month on my December Stencil Fun post,
but not as fancy but still pretty to me!

For the anything goes card I stenciled a pretty bouquet using
Pink Fresh Studios Garden Florals.
Though it's January it is nice to see some pretty spring colors!

Seasons Of My Mind Swap Party

I did several "swaps" the last few months....this one was a favorite of mine...well I guess they all were, but we had a "secret" swap partner and today is the "Big Reveal".......I am a little late in posting....but I LOVE what I received from my very sweet swap partner "Emily"....she sent me the most gorgeous cross stitched little snowman pillow and a beautiful cross stitch "Peace" bookmark...lovely items and awesome work!  I also received a wonderful mug for my coffee, three wood ornament hangers, a notepad, cute little snowman ornament, a beautiful snowman "scene" ornment.....I love the vintage looking snowman in it, a very pretty glass arrangement for my table........just look at all my goodies........and on top of that, and best of all...I met a new online "friend"......I love that....thanks so much Emily for such terrific goodies!!!!!.  Click on the links above to see all the other swaps and also to visit Emily at her blog.........

Fall Findings Swap Reveal

I joined a Fall Findings Swap last month......today is the "Reveal Party" from the creator of the Swap at Some Days Are Diamonds ~ go take a peak at all the goodies!!  We had a "secret" partner and had to decorate and fill a cigar box with "well" what else but fall findings!!!!

My goodies came from Barbara at Dogmom Diva ...she made my cigar box into a purse...now funny thing is...I am not a shoe person or a clothes person, but I am a PURSE PERSON....really I LOVE purses...so how perfect was this for me.....and a nice fall cigar box purse, too...woowho!!  It has all the goodies shown, thread, buttons, trims, lace, some wonderful handmade tags and look those little owls...they are bottle caps...thanks so much Barbara...I love it all!!!!

My box I made is sent, I didn't do pictures or it would of been even later then it was......it was to arrive yesterday...I hope it did....I hope she loves it!!

My Jar Swap Goodies ~ Thank You Victoria

Remember a few posts back I mentioned I was joining a  "Jar Swap" ??   My swap partner was Victoria you may visit her blog HERE.....While I was on vacation my jar came.....it was full of scrumptious goodies...look at that lilac yummy seam binding....and that wonderful lilac rose....love it.....and how thoughtful that I received my name in scrabble tiles......lots of fun and very useful goodies for "me"........I have to say I am a bit embarrassed though that I am "late" in sending mine to Victoria, but its mailed, she should receive it soon, and I  think it will be worth the wait, it was as fun to put together for her and mail as it was to receive mine....I just love giving gifts, do you?   Go to the link if you would like to see some of the other jar swaps....I am sure Victoria will post hers as soon as she receives it.......thank you Victoria!!

Check out this "jar swap"...you fill up a jar with pretty things to use on a card, tag, etc.....you send out a jar and get one back, there will be a jar blog party in  September to show off our jars...what fun is that....you have to have a blog to participate.......

Yet More Swap Cards!

Another group of cards I did for some swaps I am in. After I mail these out, I only have two more card swaps to do...thank goodness.....then I can actually spend more time on doing what I want! I do have other swaps, but, they are not cards, and I have plenty of time to do them! My biggest problem is, I wait til the last minute. I also have not beenout to Michael's, or any of the paper stores since before Christmas, and my Valentine supply was nil, so I had to get a little creative!

First card is for a Cuttlebug swap, I have to say these cards look much more elegant and nicer "in person"! I saw a sililar card on a blog and cased it a little bit, changing it to what I had at hand!

The last two cards are Valentine swaps, one for adult and one for kids...just thought I would share.....hopefully now I can come back with more "creative" cards!
