Wedding Card

Our 'optional' theme at Can You Handle The Pressure is 'WEDDINGS'.
I don't know about you but I can always use a wedding card to
have on hand.

I kept this card pretty clean and simple for the most part
thinking it would work for just about any wedding
and by keeping it a classic black and white!

Supplies: Sizzix Embossing Folder, Stampin Up Ever After Sentiment,
Die Cut Heart, Pink Fresh Studio Glacier Jewels.

I wish I knew who made the heart die,  but for some reason
I didn't have it in my die book.

Hope to see YOU at our fun
Can You Handle The Pressure challenge
which is all about embossing folders!!

Lemon-Ade

Our new challenge starting today at Double D is all about lemons and/or yellow as your focus.
Pretty easy peasy really!  I chose yellow as it was my Mom's favorite color
and one I also love.  I mean look how pretty, bright and cheerful our mood board is,
it just HAS to make you happy!!

Lemons or Yellow as focus

I spent  couple days looking for my 'lemon' stamp set
only realizing it wasn't a stamp set at all but a die set!!
It's the Spellbinders Lemon Zest die set, one I purchased at a very
discounted price from Hobbylobby!
I pretty much went with their cover scene as I loved the look
of their layout and was able to use all paper scraps on it.
The greens on the card are more of an olive green then my photo
shows, but I could not get the true green color and finally gave up!
I embossed my sentiment in gold to keep in line with the gold
metallic half pearls I added.   The die comes with teeny tiny flower centers
but I chose to add yellow Nuvo to my flower centers!

You don't have to use lemons for your creation but make
yellows your focus color on your card!  Please stop by and visit
Double D and see all the pretty yellow inspiration from the teams!

Just A Note

A new month and a new challenge starting at
Stencil Fun (Crazy Is Our Fame Stencils Are Our Game)
with an 'optional twist' to use layered stencils.
You don't have to use the twist and can make anything you want
as long as you use a stencil!

I of course went with the twist as I have several layered
stencils and have to admit I am quite addicted to them,
but the end results are beautiful!

My twist card came about with a few accidents,
accidents that couldn't have worked out any more perfect.
Once I got the stenciling done I decided to grab the die and
die cut it out, only thing was it wasn't a die, it was a foil plate
meant for foiling, my bad, as I ran it through my big shot and what it did
was emboss it instead, which turns out I loved the look,
Everywhere you see the embossing is where the foil should have been.
I did end up ordering the die for the stencil and have to say it was
the best decision I made!  They also have a stamp to go with
and it is on my list to order next!  But, I will try foiling next time
before I use the layered stencil, I imagine that will be beautiful!
The stencil for this card is Pink Fresh Studio Charming Floral Border.

The next 'accident is I had a pad of gingham paper opened
on my work desk to this navy blue gingham and after I die cut
my stenciled image I set it on the paper by accident, wow, I loved how the
two colors and patterns looked together so it was a 'happy' accident!

For my 'anything goes' card I had an embossed Swiss Dots panel that I added
my stenciled Pink Fresh Studio Daisy Wreath to.

This is also a layered stencil, which I do have the die for!
I used Pink Fresh Studio's Perfect Sentiments stamps and dies for both cards!
You've seen me use this stencil before and surely will again
as I have two more already stenciled!!

inspiration cards and get to stenciling and join us,
we have a fun prize up for grabs!

Peace On Earth Challenge #41

Can you believe we are almost halfway through the year already?
Time seems to go by so fast!!

June brings us to a new challenge at Peace On Earth
and we have a pretty mood board for inspiration.
You can be inspired by it or not, but your project
just has to be Christmas themed!

I was inspired by the bottom left corner with the pretty star.

I knew I had a die cut star that was a bit fancy around the edges.
I remember seeing this die used and spent forever trying to find it,
and find it I did, it ended up being a Marianne die.
I used a Tim Holtz twiggy background die for the first time and
a star stamp and die set from Altenew Peace Love Joy set.

I know you can't tell, but the white star is cut from a very shimmery
piece of specialty paper.

We would love to have YOU join us at our Peace On Earth challenge!!

Sketch 727

It's time for a new sketch challenge at
Sketch Saturday and it is an easy and fun one!
Also, did you know we now have a Top 3 winners post
and it could be you, all you have to do is play along!

I really like how my card turned out, but those flowers sure gave me a run for my money so to speak!
I had ordered the  Pink Fresh Studio Happy Blooms stencil set
but once stenciled to me it needed more, so I set it aside and ordered the stamp set
that goes with it, I also had a die set to cut it out with or so I thought,
turns out it was the wrong set, it was for the Happy Blooms Frame set
which I don't have , but now guess will have to order so I can use it.
So once again I placed a 3rd order for the correct die set and am now a happy camper.
Of course, if I want to get real fancy and complete the set,
there is also a hot foil plate to go with.
Do you purchase stamp, die and stencil or
just one or the other?  I think I now need to be careful
when ordering stencils but by adding the stamp set
it does give me a whole lot of other options without using
the stencil!

Supplies: Chickandiddy 6x6 paper (2015-trying to use up this pad), Pink Fresh Studio Happy Blooms Stamp~dies~stencil, The Greetery Sentiment Suite Birthday.

I also used an old SU paper punch for the note paper
and popped up my flowers for depth!
We hope to see you at Sketch Saturday!!

June 2023 Triple B Challenge

Hello Friends!
It's that time again for a new challenge at
Triple B
where we are all about Blooms~Birds~Butterflies.
You can use one, two or all three, it's up to you!

We have an inspiration board but it's just that for inspiration!

I used a new to me Altenew layered Build A Flower Rose Stamp and die set
and let me tell you, it was a doozy to layer!
The Rose has six different layers so you need six different ink colors
then lining up each layer was quite tricky but I watched a couple
of youtubes and it saved the day, that and my stamp platform!
Mine aren't perfect by any means
but way better then they were the first time I tried!
The leaves on the other hand were a breeze to layer and stamp.
I believe this set has been discontinued!
The sentiment is from the same set.  I lightly stenciled the background
using an older stencil (2014) Texture Tessatina from Memory Box.

I hope to see you over at Triple B, it's a fun challenge and has been quite a hit!

Peach Color Challenge

A new color theme at Colorful Options this month and it's
PEACH!!

Don't like Peach?  Then you have an option to use a rainbow of colors!

I used a stencil from Altenew and some 'peachy' colors from Simon Says inks.
The bottom of the card was die cut with an edge die from
Precious Marieke 'Rose Border'.
I used a heart die cut piece along the top and white pearls scattered
here and there.  The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread.

Pop on over to the Colorful Options blog and see all the 'pretties'
from the design team, why not join in with us too!!
