Winterberry Poinsettia

 Hello friends, I have a card today I made for the
Just Us Girls Stencil week challenge.

When Altenew released their Winterberry Poinsettia
3D embossing folder and stencil combo
I knew it had to 'jump' into my cart and it did!!
I have had it for quite awhile in my 'new' bin of products

and was happy I could pull it out for the challenge at JUGS!

I used mostly Altenew inks, a TH Distress ink for the red berries and  Hero Arts for the flower centers

for my stencil colors.  I hope to make a few more now that my

'test the waters' card is done!  It was a learning experience for sure

with colors and placement.  I die cut my card front to 5 3/4"x5 3/4"

and added it to a 6"x6" card base.  The sentiment is an oldie from
JustRite Christmas Inner Thoughts.

I have to say it is much more prettier IRL!!

Sew Happy For You

 We are back at Can You Handle The Pressure today
with a new OPTIONAL theme of NUMBERS!
You can however create anything as long as an embossing folder
has been used.

I used a few never been used before supplies today that I have had in my 
stash for a very long time.  I used an old Cuttlebug embossing folder
that was all measuring tapes like the ones used for sewing.
I picked a color card stock that reminded me of the real tapes.
The sewing dies are Spellbinders All Stitched Up that I placed
on a Tutti Designs Rectangle stitched die.
The sentiment is computer generated.
The gingham 'fabric' is Honey Bee.

House Mouse Halloween

 House-Mouse & Friends Challenge is all about
HALLOWEEN
for their challenge but you can also do 'anything goes'
using a House Mouse stamp.
But, why not go with the fun theme if you have a stamp
that matches the theme, that is what I did using 'Bewitching Pumpkins' (2004)
that is showcasing Mudpie, Maxwell, Monica, and Amanda.
Cute little mousers aren't they(?) and the best kind, on a card!!

I have used this stamp I think only once before so it was time
for it to see ink again.  It was colored in with various Copic and Olo
alcohol markers.

Congratulations

A new challenge theme is starting today at Double D
and it is WINGS.  We want to see anything with wings
and have a mood board for inspiration.

In my 'new' box of products to use I had this pretty AALL & Create
Petalled Wings Butterfly just waiting to see ink.  After coloring with
a mix of Copic's I wanted to add white dots on various places on
the wings, but my white pen (the one recommended by everyone)
would not work at all, very disappointing as it was relatively new!

The paper is Honey Bee Team Tie-Dye  and the sentiment is a
Spellbinders Betterpress.  The die cut double stitched square is 
Cottage Cutz.

We are back at Pick 3 with a new element board

The wreath and all flowers were cut from white card stock scraps
then inked with Distress inks.
I added a few gold sequins for even more sparkle.
The hexagons are all a gold metallic, just when trying

to get a picture, the metallic picks up all other colors!

I spent my day working outside in my gardens trying to get ready for
winter, then we went to granddaughter's college volleyball game (they won)
we left there and went to the casino to eat and play a bit

I cashed out $100, $70, $50 and $245 tickets.
I'd say I did pretty good, but I paid back hubby what he lost,

we always do that, if one loses and one wins we always

pay the losses back, if we both lose, now that is a different story LOL!!

Saturday night my daughter and SIL took us to a restaurant of my choice
for my birthday and I chose a Italian restaurant I love at the 100 Center in 
Mishawaka, Indiana

They play Frank Sinatra music and my hubby loves it

so it was a good choice for both of us!!

SIL Carey and daughter Lori!!  Lori works for Notre Dame so she had on a very glitzy ND sweatshirt,
it lit up the whole room when the sun hit it!!

That was my day, another year around the sun as they say!!

A Merry Christmas

Hello friends, I am back with my second  card this month for our
challenge at Peace On Earth.  We have a mood board for inspiration 
but  you can create anything as long as it is Christmas themed.

Being the mood board is all Santa's I went with that and used another of my

Stamperia clear die cuts Classic Christmas
I purchased back in 2024, yes that's right, about time I

started using them don't you think??

I also die cut a Spellbinders oval and rectangle to adhere my Santa to. 
I popped up one of the clear holly die cuts on Santa's hat.
A few gems were added for sparkle.  The holly paper is Echo Park's

Have A Holly Jolly Christmas (2023).
