Fall Findings Swap Reveal

I joined a Fall Findings Swap last month......today is the "Reveal Party" from the creator of the Swap at Some Days Are Diamonds ~ go take a peak at all the goodies!!  We had a "secret" partner and had to decorate and fill a cigar box with "well" what else but fall findings!!!!

My goodies came from Barbara at Dogmom Diva ...she made my cigar box into a purse...now funny thing is...I am not a shoe person or a clothes person, but I am a PURSE PERSON....really I LOVE purses...so how perfect was this for me.....and a nice fall cigar box purse, too...woowho!!  It has all the goodies shown, thread, buttons, trims, lace, some wonderful handmade tags and look those little owls...they are bottle caps...thanks so much Barbara...I love it all!!!!

My box I made is sent, I didn't do pictures or it would of been even later then it was......it was to arrive yesterday...I hope it did....I hope she loves it!!

Fun Shaped Cards

Where oh where have I been???  Yikes its been awhile...but working on that Halloween craft show just shut me down....if anyone can make a BIG mess I can, so have been trying to put sewing/creative room back together...almost done, but guess what.....another craft show next month....love it though!

Last year, (yes really), I borrowed my sister's Cricut cartridge called Speaking of Fall...one of the features was to cut cards, so I did a few "test cards"...well to get me back into creating, I pulled them out and finished them up.....these are rather simple, but hey its a start...right??   I have so many new things to use, and lots of them are Halloween, but I think I missed the boat on that..oh well....now back to the cards.....I had to make them fall cards, as I used a double sided DS paper and the inside is all fall leaves...look real close at the acorn top, I used stickles and it adds so much......you will be seeing alot of Christmas here later, as I am making alot of "stuff" for the Christmas show...its the weekend before Thanksgiving, here at the cabin! 

Here is a picture I took at our home "up north" as wel like to call it, the color had peaked there, so pretty.....and have ya ever seen a dog laugh...well Nellie is laughing at my picture taking antics, I am sure!!

Sorry to be so "lame" in posting...will be back next week with some goodies...just life here has gotten in the way and have been fall "cleansing"....been taking loads to the Goodwill...ahhh, makes ya feel so good, and am getting ready for a Xmas craft show in November...and welcome to all my new followers!  Stay tuned!!

Indian Summer~FTTC86

Indian Summer...don't you just love it???  I pulled out some half finished "stuff" from last year...found this already stamped image and decided to finish it up....Flourishes has a challenge using rust/orange, green, brown and cream in a fall/harvest theme...so thought this was perfect for that...the challenge is FTTC86......thanks for looking!!

Countdown To World Cardmaking Day

World cardmaking day is Saturday and Betsy Veldman HERE is having a challenge to make a Christmas card using a design from Card Creations vol 8.......you are to turn a "non" holiday card into a Christmas card using one of the designers layouts.   I choose a card by designer Grace Tolman...you can see her card on page 13.....as soon as I saw it I saw "snowflakes"....I really love how it turned out...my snowflakes are cut with a snowflake Sizzix die

Heart To Heart Card Drive~Blog Candy For "you"

On Cammie's blog, she is having a "Heart To Heart Card Drive to thank all the caretakers of Alzheimer's patients....we are to send a card to "thank" the person that is such a wonderful caretaker for this terrible disease.......though this has not affected my family directly yet (and hopefully never will) I have a friend that has a Mother with this...I know she misses her Mother terribly and would give about anything to have her back to her "normal" self...it's very hard to see a loved one with this...so this card goes out to her.....this one is for you "Linda"!
