Happy Birthday Double D

It's our TENTH birthday at Double D, can you believe we have been
going strong for TEN whole years?
We are having a celebration with a great prize for one lucky random winner

Mosey on over to the Double D blog to see what it is and celebrate with us!
We have a fun birthday board for inspiration!!
Oh, and if you haven't guessed by now our theme is BIRTHDAYS!

I have to admit I made these cards pretty early last year and wasn't even sure
if I was going to use them, but after a few weeks of sitting around I guess they
kind of grew on me.  I used the Balloon Bouquet stamp & die set from The Greetery
plus their Twisted Crepe die.  I added lots of enamel dots I received free from
Altenew with an order.

I created a second card but kept it a bit simpler using the same stamp and
die set I mentioned and linked above.

Come on over to Double D and have some BIRTHDAY
fun with us!!

Summer Somewhere

Hello friends, at our Stencil Fun challenge our
OPTIONAL theme is Anything With Four Legs
or as always anything goes using a stencil.

It doesn't have to be a stencil with four legs but your focal point can
be the four legs as mine is with my cute Cottage Cutz Folk Cat.
He (or she as the case may be) looked so happy I just had to
use my never been used before Simple Stories Sunshine stencil.
The inks I used were Distress Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed.
The sentiment is The Project Bin Summer Fun,
inked in Dew Drop Truffle.

For my anything goes card I used an also never been used before
Altenew Folk Flowers stencil (2021) all stenciled in Distress inks
Shabby Shutters, Abandoned Coral and Shaded Lilac.
The sentiment is Pink Fresh Studio Simply Sentiments Hello.
I also added some of their gems for a bit of sparkle!

It's January, it's cold, what else do you have to do but join in our
Stencil Fun challenge with us??

You Brighten My Day

We are already into 2026 and have our first
The Neglected Stuff challenge for the year.

It is always an anything goes challenge using some of your
very neglected stuff that you have never used or have not used
in a very long time.

I am a little embarrassed with my choice of neglected stuff
as I have had this Cheery Lynn Designs Step Card 1 since 2014
and never ever have used it.  During a restless and sleepless night
I remembered I had it and decided right then and there it was
going to be my first TNS project for the year!

Because the die is so long I used an old 12 x 12 for the base
and also for the decorative paper cutting it all on my Sizzix Switch.
What an easy die to use to make an awesome card!!

I also cut a PoppyStamp delightful daisy from scraps of
SU Very Vanilla card stock.  I die cut a second flower for each
and offset it underneath to give a fuller look.
The sentiment is a Spellbinders Betterpress.

Here is a side view and a tiny peek inside.

We would love to have you join our challenge
as I am sure you have plenty of 'neglected stuff' yourself!!

POE Jan 26

Can you believe it is already 2026, wow, as you get older
the years seem to fly by and we are already into our first
challenge at Peace On Earth.

We have a pretty winter-y mood board to create your holiday
card from if you need the inspiration,
otherwise it's any Christmas creation you would like!

If you follow my blog you know that I was a bit addicted to the Katy Sue 3D
paper kits and have fallen for many of them.  This one is the
Christmas Flower Pots kit which makes 8 cards with 4 different designs.
I have to admit, I tried numerous times to get good pictures of these
beautiful cards, they are MUCH prettier IRL!
They are also very much 3D.

The back of the card has an easel so the card can display upright.
The tree pulls out of the basket and is attached to a card that
you can write your holiday greeting on.

This is the second card in this design but with a pink bow.

I have six more of these types of cards, maybe you will see them later on,
but I hope to see YOU at Peace On Earth!

Make A Wish

I love our challenge at Love Those Pretty Papers as it is required
to pull out those pretty papers and create with them!
We are an ANYTHING GOES challenge with the use of papers
but always have an OPTIONAL theme and for January it is
SNOWMAN.

For my snowman card I used a fun paper I received free with an order from scrapbookdotcom.  Its a pad with fun holiday colors of
pinks, oranges and teals.  It's a small pad 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 perfect for card fronts.  I also die cut a Sue Wilson Build A Snowman die,
one I haven't used for a very long time.  This die comes with several
options to 'dress' your snowman...fun!  The sentiment is
a Spellbinders Betterpress.

For my ANYTHING GOES card I had a piece of Brutus Monroe
Butterfly paper left over along with a textured scrap of orange and decided to
put the two together along with an already embossed scrap piece
from my 'parts' box.  The sentiment is a Spellbinders Betterpress.

So, get out your pretty papers and come and join us
at our fun Love Those Pretty Papers challenge!

Cheers To You

It's a new year and a new challenge at Triple B
where our challenge is all about
Birds~Blooms~Butterflies
and we have a beautiful mood board for inspiration.

For my card I started with a beautiful background paper
cut to fit an A2 card.  It is Reminisce 12x12 True Blue paper.
Last year I purchased some 3D images all in these pretty blues
from Find It Trading Blue Meadow Berrie's  Beauties
that I added to a Tutti Designs Dotted Square. and a sentiment
from Spellbinders Betterpress.

It's January, what else do you have to do but
join us with one of your three 'Bs' at Triple B!

Have Fun

A new challenge today for the month of January at
Simply Clean & Simple with an easy OPTIONAL theme of
SOMETHING NEW.
I say easy as I am sure if like me you always have
something sitting on your work desk that is NEW!

Last year I really decided I loved  'rub on's' and treated myself to many.
One of my newest are these Stamperia Furry Friends dogs.
I first stenciled using a Newton's Nook pawprint stencil,
stenciling in a circle, darker at the edges and lighter in the center
knowing that is where my rub on was going.

Isn't he a cute pup?  I have plenty more to use and also
could not resist their cat rub on's which will appear
I am sure at a later time.

If you like the challenge of CAS then come on
over to Simply Clean & Simple and give it a try!!

Snowy Halloween

Two Old Bats has a fun mood board for inspiration but you can
create anything as long as it is Halloween!!

I was inspired by the snowy ghost and turned to my poor neglected Cricut
for my fun ghost.  He is all bundled up in his warm hat and has a cup of
hot witches brew,  I had the bright idea to add some stickles to his hat
but found out both my black diamond
and orange peel stickles were all but dried up and empty
so I added some Nuvo drops instead.  The orange peel seems to be discontinued
but I was able to order the black diamond from Simon Says, thankfully!
A snowy embossed background along
with the bats (part of the Cricut design) were added,
in Michigan we have had plenty of Halloweens with snow on the ground,
though the last few years have been much warmer.

We celebrate Halloween year round at Two Old Bats giving
you a year long to use some of your Halloween supplies,
way better then just a few weeks a year,
come on over and have some spooky fun with us!

Warm Winter Wishes

It is our second WINTER season at The Four Seasons
and we have a super fun mood board for inspiration!
You can however, create anything as long as it is WINTER themed!

Being the animal lover I am, I really loved this mood board and could of gone
several different ways with my card but I had purchased this adorably cute
Crafters Companion polar bears stamp and die set, (that I popped up).  If you aren't familiar,
these small sets that include both the die and stamp can usually be purchased
for under $10, not bad for both the dies and the stamp.  I 'might' have a few
more different sets of these in my stash!

I cut a snowbank from Lawn Fawns Stitched Hillside Border.
The mountain and trees are Cottage Cutz Campin' Out Mountains & Trees.
The sentiment is from The Ton.

It's WINTER at The Four Seasons and we would love to see you there!!

Happy New Year

Hello Colorful Options Friends, are you ready for our first challenge in the New Year?
We have a pretty mood board for inspiration but if not a fan you are
always welcome to use rainbow colors!

I was totally inspired by the center snowflake picture as living in Michigan
I know that scene all too well!!  Plus, the fact it gave me an opportunity to pull
out an older and much neglected snowflake cover plate die from Impression Obsession.
I for one certainly miss that company, it seems we lost a lot of our great
card making suppliers in 2025, sad for us all!
I die cut my panel from a shimmery white card stock, IRL if has a pretty 'glow'
that of course isn't captured in the photo.  I popped the panel up then added a
sentiment stamped and die cut from The Ton Easy Expressions Christmas.

We hope you will join us at Colorful Options for our challenge,
what else do you have to do in January??

Awesome Day

 Happy New Year!!

The new year brings us to our first Word Power challenge of the year
where we are all about making your sentiment have center stage,
not those normal small sentiments but a BIG one
that instantly draws the eye to it.

This card is nothing to write home about for sure
and is pretty simple using a few pieces of scrap papers I have
pulled from my scraps I am trying to use up.
The butterfly was sitting on my desk so I added it to the sentiment
that I die cut from a Simon die I purchased during one of their 99 cent sales.
The floral paper has bit of glittery sparkle in it so I added a few gems
to add even more sparkle.

Get your BIG sentiments out and join us over at Word Power.
