Oh Happy Day

It's Amy's Woodblock Wednesday time and for once I have a card, yeah!!

I saw where House Mouse & Friends had a 'Water Fun' challenge so
what was more perfect then to use a woodblock house mouse stamp
to combine the two challenges!
This stamp is a Happy Hopper official House Mouse stamp Bunny Cruise 2008 stamp,
one of many I received when a friend honored me with all her woodblock stamps.
The sentiment stamp doesn't have any name on it anywhere so I have no idea of
whose stamp it is, but it seemed fitting for my fun bunny stamp.
I colored  the image in with various Copic's and Olo's.
The background paper was a scrap leftover from a 12x12 piece I have previously used.
I die cut the image with a Tutti Designs scalloped rectangle and the cloud is
Impression Obsession stamped with Distress faded jeans ink.

My relaxing bunny hopper:

It was fun to actually sit down and make a card again, it's been awhile!!

March 2026 Woodblock Wednesday

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for
Amy's Woodblock Wednesday challenge, the challenge where
your woodblock stamps are required!

For my woodblock I got out an old House Mouse stamp 2005
Sleeping Under Flowers 02.

It's quite a large stamp so it made a large card.
The sentiment is Stampin' Up 1992 stamped on a punched circle.
I have several of these SU
wood block single stamps I purchased at a garage sale years ago
so have no idea of what set they originally belonged to.
I die cut my image after I had colored it with Copics with a newly
purchased nesting die from Memory Box Notched Eyelet Frames.
Such a pretty nesting set that I know I will get lots of use out of!
I added  a few tiny shamrocks from my 'spare parts' box and
believe they are Impression Obsession dies, cute aren't they?

I am sure Amy would love to see YOU over at her Woodblock Wednesday challenge!!

Hugs & Kisses

 It's Amy Tsuruta's Woodblock Wednesday,
always the last Wednesday of the month,
the challenge that requires you to use your WOODBLOCK stamps.

One of my favorite challenges as I have loads and loads of woodblocks,
most pretty old as these are today.
I used a Azadi Stamp Design (2000), ever hear of it (?)
me either, I also have the male version of this stamp.
Also a Northwoods Rubber Stamp (2001) for the background.
I colored the image in with various Copics and stamped the
background stamp with Gina K Designs Cherry Red ink.
I added a few stick on hearts.

I am sure Amy would welcome you to join in with her challenge,
either way, make sure to check it out as there are always fun
stamped woodblock cards to see.

Happy New Year

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means Amy
is once again having her Woodblock Wednesday Challenge,
the challenge that allows you to pull out those fun woodblock stamps
and put them to use.

I created a simple and I mean a very simple card using a never
been used before woodblock stamp P Denami Design (2001).
Yikes this stamp is 24 years old!

I stamped the image in Altenew Mountain Pine ink then ran it through
a TH Snowfall embossing folder.  Not sure if the sentiment was to be a
woodblock too, but I added a The Ton sentiment as it's the only
Happy New Year stamp I had.

I'm sure Amy would love to see your woodblocks at her challenge too,
and it's always a pleasure to see what woodblocks the other entries have used!

Have A Super Day

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it's Amy's
Woodblock Wednesday challenge which gives you the
opportunity to have some fun with your woodblock stamps!

Being July I wanted to use a summery stamp and pulled about 5 or 6 to choose
from and ended up going with this small PSX 1999 stamp.  It's an oldie for sure!  I can always use one of the others for August, right?

Supplies used besides the stamp are:
LDRS You are My Sunshine designer paper
Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Circles
Banner (not sure)
Altenew Sentiments Strips II
Dew Drop ink Love Letters
Colored in with various Copics.

Get out your woodblocks, if you still have any, and come and have some
fun at Amy's Woodblock Wednesday!

Woodblock Wednesday

Today is the last Wednesday of the month  which means
it is also Amy's Woodblock Wednesday where woodblock
stamps are center stage.

In trying to use a woodblock stamp that 'sort of'
represents the month we are in I thought my
Stampendous 2001 sun stamp was it for this month
since we have been having hot hot temps in the 90s
with a heat index of over 100.

I used Sparkle N Sprinkle Tequila Sunrise embossing powder
after stamping with Versamark on a 4x4 navy blue card stock.
It was then layered on a Sizzix textured sunny gold panel.
The sentiment is The Ton Easy Expressions.

This card has lots and lots of sparkle and the stamp
is yet another I received from my friend when she gave me ALL
her woodblock stamps!

Go on over to Woodblock Wednesday and see all the
fun and amazing entries and if you have some
woodblocks, why not join in??

Congratulations

Today is the LAST Wednesday of the month which means it is also
Amy's Woodblock Wednesday where woodblock stamps are used.

As you have heard me say 'a lot', I have many many woodblock stamps
so this monthly challenge is right up my alley!

I've been trying to use a stamp that 'sort of' goes with the month we are in, which is why I decided to use this birdhouse stamp
as the birds are so vocal right now and I love listening to their
song, it's so relaxing and pretty, so I thought it perfect for May!
My stamp is an oldie from Stampin' Up that was another stamp from
my friend along with a Hero Arts 1996 sentiment stamp.
I stamped the image with Cloud 9 Solid Black ( my new all time favorite black ink)
then colored in with my Copics and Olo markers.  Once done I used a The Greetery
Aida Cloth Texture Plate.  I love this new plate of mine as it sure gives an awesome
textured look when done.

I am sure Amy would love to have YOU at her
Woodblock Wednesday challenge too.

Spring Tulips

It's the last Wednesday of the month which means it's time for
Amy's Woodblock Wednesday challenge where we/you are required to
use a woodblock stamp.  Yikes, I have lots and I mean lots of woodblocks
thanks to a friend that gave me ALL her fabulous woodblocks a few
years ago.

I figured since it was April and tulip season that I would bring out this
BIG Penny Black Tulip Crate stamp.  I ended up having to make it into a
6x6 square card to fit the entire stamp on a card front.
It was colored with a mix of Copics and Olo's.

Have woodblocks?  If so, then come on over and join Amy's fun challenge!!

March 2025 Woodblock Wednesday

Hello friends, it's once again time for Amy's Woodblock Wednesday challenge.
It's always the last Wednesday of the month, can you believe that March has
already gotten there?  I'm excited about it as soon it will be warmer!

I decided to go the Easter route since it will be here soon and used an oldie
but goodie stamp I have had forever from PSX 1998 and the sentiment woodblock is
Savvy Stamps.  I stamped the cute bunny image on a Pink Fresh Studio Folk Edge Circle.
The paper is Paper Rose Spring Bunnies  and I added some gems and a bit of lemon twine.

If you still have woodblocks, you should come and
play too, the more the merrier!!

Welcome To Michigan

Today I am once again joining the FUN Woodblock Wednesday challenge
a challenge where you are to use those probably 'neglected'
woodblock stamps.

I created a 'kind of' odd/different card using some VERY old stamps.
The first is a 1993 Michigan stamp that I used SNS Cerulean embossing powder.
It must of been a first time use as it was full to the very top.
for the welcome I used for the very first time a SU 2006 Fancy Flexible Phrases
stamp and a SU 2006 Amazing To Zany stamp (to only), also for the first time.
The paper I used was a find at scrapbook dot com that is a Michigan 6x6 pad.
This particular paper shows our Mighty Mac as we call it, Mackinac Bridge
that takes you from lower Michigan to Upper Michigan or the UP as we call it.
For fun I added a little glittered heart to show what part of Michigan I am from,
very lower Michigan right at the Indiana/Michigan state line,
though I have been all the way up the state and to the furthest point in the UP where we once had a cabin.

That's my card form the 'mitten state'!

January 2025 Woodblock Wednesday

Hello friends, it's time for Amy to have her
Woodblock Wednesday challenge and I am hoping to join in all year long!

I was the lucky and I mean lucky winner back in November and received an
fabulous amount of woodblock stamps for my prize, I am ever so thankful for the fun that was.
I had wanted to send a nice thank you for my gift but the hubby grabbed up and burned the
mailer before I got a chance to save her return address.  So, thank YOU so much Amy, it was an awesome prize!
Speaking of the prize, my two stamps I am using today are part of that prize.

An adorably CUTE Penny Black 1999 stamp and the fun 1993 Country Folk Products
cloud stamp. the sentiment is a Pink Fresh Studio .

You should get out your woodblock stamps and head over to Amy's
and join in, see ya there I hope!

Season's Greetings

Hello friends, today is the last Wednesday of the month and
that means that Amy is having her FUN Woodblock Wednesday
where you can get those much neglected woodblock stamps out
and let them have their glory!!

For my woodblock stamp I used an oldie I picked up at a
garage sale several year ago.  I was a little leery as you could tell
it was very much loved and used!
It is a 2003 Penny Black Winter Glow stamp and it stamped like a charm!
I colored the image in a bit with a couple of Altenews Alcohol markers
and used a bit of green ink to tone down the white Spellbinders
Labels 17 I had die cut from white card stock.
The designer paper so happens to be Penny Black as well from their
Wintertime (2015) collection .  The sentiment is Hero Arts.

It's a pretty simple card but all I had time for with the upcoming holiday on us!

I'm sure Amy would love to see YOUR woodblock cards over
on the challenge, I know I would!!

Happy Halloween

Hello crafty friends,  I had some fun joining in with
Woodblock Wednesday where using a woodblock stamp
is required.  I think a lot of card makers got rid of their woodblock
stamps but there still are lots of us that keep everything, like me!!

I had a 'brainstorm' for this month by using six of my smaller
Halloween woodblock stamps on a Waffle Farm postage die.
These are really oldies but fun just the same!
I first used a WF stencil to color in my postage die cut
using Distress Inks Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey.
I liked how the wild honey toned down the yellow ink
and gave it a more fall feel.

The stamps used were Inkadinkadoo (hat), Stampabilities (bat),
Stampendous (spider), Hero Arts (cat w/pumpkin), Penny Black (witch),
and unknown (?) for the sentiment.

So, get out those neglected woodblock stamps and come on
over to Amy's blog for some challenge fun!!

Woodblock Wednesday Challenge

Hello friends, today is the fun Woodblock Wednesday challenge
put on every month by the talented Amy Tsuruta
encouraging you to use those fun but mostly neglected woodblock stamps!

I have lots and lots of woodblock stamps so it is very fun to pull some
out and use them.  I made a mini slimline card using a stamp from a favorite WB company of
mine 'Northwoods Rubber Stamps' (2007) and this is the first time I have
ever inked it myself as a summer ago a friend gave me ALL her woodblock stamps!
The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft designs, also a first time use.

Aren't they just the cutest and full of so much detail!

Here is the actual stamp, perfect for a slimline card!

So, get those 'woodblocks' out and head on over to the challenge
and have some fun with us, I am sure Amy would love having you!!

Thank You Very Much

Hello Friends, Amy Tsuruta has her Woodblock Wednesday
challenge up and running and I try to join in every month
as it gives you the opportunity to pull out those much neglected
woodblock stamps.  I know a lot of you have gotten rid of yours but
I keep everything LOL!!  I went to a garage sale a couple week ago that
had 'stamps' in their ad and this sunflower is one I picked up for a
mere 50 cents!  It looks as though it had never been inked and does
have the manufactures name on it but it is so light and blurry I can't read it.
As  many woodblock stamps I have I certainly didn't need to buy anymore
but who could resist the price!!
It was stamped then colored with Olo markers
and die cut out with a Cottage Cutz eyelet oval stitched die.
I have a pile of scrap papers sitting in a basket on my desk I am
trying to use up so that is where the background came from.
The sentiment is from The Ton Easy Expressions.

If you have some fun woodblock stamps you should head on over and join in the
woodblock fun with us!!

Pansies

Hello friends, I FINALLY was able to join in the fun at
Woodblock Wednesday where the use of a Woodblock stamp is required.
It is always the last Wednesday of the month so get those woodblocks out,
head on over and have some fun like I did!

I hate to admit it but I have a ton and I mean a ton of woodblock stamps
that I will never purge (I rarely purge anything) to use whenever I can.
This stamp, PSX 1995 came in my haul from a friend that gave me
a car load (and I mean a car load) of stamps that she didn't want anymore
and 90% of them were woodblock!
I colored it in with a mix of Copics and Olo markers, my Copics are running dry
and I have never had luck with the refills so switched to Olo's which I love
as they go so smooth, someday I hope to have ALL the colors!
I got a little carried away adding some bling but am pretty happy with
how it turned out,  I picked this Pansy stamp as my Mom's birthday was
in May and her favorite flowers were pansies, she would of loved it!

Thanks to those of you that were kind enough to stop by!!
