Happy Anniversary

A new challenge is starting today at The Sisterhood of Crafters
with the theme of FLOWERS.
We also have a mood board for inspiration.

I had put together this card front a while back using
Concord & 9th's Primrose Garden die set, cut totally from paper scraps of white
card stock and colored in with various inks.
The perfect time to make it into a card.
The sentiment is Spellbinders Betterpress.

Come and hang out with us at The Sisterhood for some floral fun!

Swimming By

Today at The Sisterhood of Crafters our challenge theme is
FISH/SEA CREATURES.

I have a favorite 'sea creature' stamp and die set I have used
several times and was happy to be able to pull it out again.
It is Catherine Pooler's Ocean Chums stamp set with five different
sea creatures to choose from and I chose this fun Stingray.
I used a Ink N' Splatter Wavy Stripes stencil for the background
stenciled with Altenew Artic and Caribbean Sky inks.
The fish I stamped are part of the stamp set as is the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see YOU over at
The Sisterhood!

Happy Birthday

Hello friends, our new theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters is
BANNERS.
We want to see all your fun banners on your creations.

I went a bit of a different way with my banners using my older
Tutti Designs Stitched Nested Banners cut from pretty papers
from Echo Park's Bee Happy papers.

The designs on card #1 is also part of Echo Park's
Bee Happy Ephemera  and the sentiment is Lawn Fawn's
Simple Wavy Banners.

Card #2

I liked this design so much that I created a second card
this time with ephemera from Craft Consortium's
Amongst the Hedgerow, the sentiment is the same as card #1.

Get those banners out and come and have some
'banner' fun with us at The Sisterhood!

Age Is Just A Number

The Sisterhood of Crafters has a new challenge starting today
for the month of April with a theme of
'Make Someone Smile".
There is a silly inspiration board that is sure to make YOU smile!!

For my card I pulled out some VERY old products to make my 'smile' card.
First is a Stampin Up stamp Itty Bitty Backgrounds, though I haven't used it
in quite some time, it is one of those stamps that is very useful when needed.
I stamped it in Hero Arts Caramel ink.
The next thing I used I haven't ever used before and it's about time since I have
had it for 20 years is a Funky Chicken die from QuicKutz (2005).
I die cut it three times (plus) from white card then colored in with Copics.
The sentiment is the 'smiley' part of my card, from Woodware 'I Meant To" stamp set.
The QuicKutz is my first ever die cut 'machine' and luckily they
have come a long way since!!

I hope my silly card with the funky chickens  made you smile today.
We would love to have you join us at The Sisterhood!

Out of This World Birthday

At The Sisterhood of Crafters our theme for this month is
GALAXY.

I had a pretty washi tape background that reminded a lot of a
galaxy that I used as my background.  I printed and die cut a cute
little alien from my Cricut and popped him up on the background.
I die cut a few stars from a  gold metallic scrap of  paper
and popped them up with micro dots.  The sentiment was computer
generated, one I think that will work for a young boy.

d

It's a unique and different fun theme,
I hope you will join us at
The Sisterhood with YOUR take on our theme.

Happy Birthday Stitching

This month at The Sisterhood of Crafters our theme is
STITCHING.

I guess I took it literally as I did some REAL stitching using a
Spellbinders Stitched Medallion die.  I have a small collection of
these dies and find it relaxing to work on them while watching TV,
I can rarely just sit and watch a program, I have to have my hands busy too!
So, I have a few already stitched pieces just waiting to be made into a card!
The sentiment is a Betterpress die also from Spellbinders
and the background is The Greetery Aida Cloth Texture plate
.

Come on over to The Sisterhood and see all the
inspiration from our design team and join in with us.

Happy Birthday To You

A new challenge is starting this month at
The Sisterhood of Crafters with a super easy theme of
Spots or Dots!  Along with the theme we have a bonus
mood board for inspiration.

My card pretty much originated from my 'spare parts' box, all except
for the Sizzix layered labels die and the Simon Says Stamp Jubilee Sentiment,
A STAMPember 2022 set I purchased during one of their 99cent sales.
The paper was in my basket of papers to use up.

We would love to see YOU over at The Sisterhood.

Angel Ornament Card

The theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters is
Anything Christmas, easy peasy!
I am sure you have seen over this past year I have been sort of hooked on the
Katy Sue 3D cards , or maybe I should say addicted.  They are fun to do
and I work on them when my mojo isn't in the mood for anything else.
My angels card is one of those.  These cards have layer after layer and take lots
of pop ups for each layer.  My card is a square 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".

Hope to see you over at The Sisterhood of Crafters.

Thanks

At The Sisterhood of Crafters our theme is THANKS.
Being November I decided to create a somewhat 'fall' thank you card.
I used Carta Bella Hello Autumn paper pad.  A scalloped rectangle was
pulled from my 'spare parts' bin, it is a Cottage Cutz scalloped rectangle.
I die cut a Poppystamps Sylvan Sprig and a Cheapo Dies Butterfly.
The sentiment  is Sizzix Hello Sunshine
stamped with Versamark then embossed with
SNS Coffee embossing powder.

As I was creating this I was 'thinking' do people even send out
thank you cards anymore?'  I am from the old school I guess as
I expect one but can't tell you how many graduations, weddings and even a baby
shower that a thank you was never received.  I even went to a couples
baby shower that you were asked not to even wrap the gifts as the
couple didn't want to spend the time having to open them.
I like our old school ways better, guess I was brought up with manners!

Anyhow, hope to see YOU over at our The Sisterhood of Crafters
challenge, come and see what my 'sistahs' have been up to!!

Autumn Leaves

We are feeling FALL at The Sisterhood of Crafters.
Fall is our theme for this month as we move into October.

I had this panel already made using Graphic 45 press on's and it
fit into our theme perfectly and was easy to turn into a card
plus the fact I have really been trying to use up more of what I have
purchased over the years.  I added a few gems for a 'bit' of sparkle.

Come on over to The Sisterhood and see all the pretty FALL
creations from my 'sistahs'!!

Time To Celebrate

Hello friends, it's time to celebrate at
The Sisterhood of Crafters with our theme of
BIRTHDAYS.

For my birthday card
I used a newly purchased stencil and die set from
Pink Fresh Studios Ribbons & Balloons.
This was shocking as I actually used this the same day I received it
in the mail, shocking for me LOL!

I used mostly a lot of Altenew inks with the exception of the yellow balloon
which was inked with TH Distress Squeezed Lemonade.
The sentiment is from The Greetery and the background die is
Spellbinders Hemstitch Oval.

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!!

Fly

Hello friends, A new challenge with a new theme is starting today at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and the theme is
Cards of Encouragement.

I bought these 'Flight of Fancy' Graphic 45 rub-ons back in January
and they were sitting on my work desk and seemed to be the perfect
choice for the challenge.  It was quite a big set of butterflies so I ended up
having to apply it to a 6x6 card.
I thought the words were very fitting for encouragement
'Spread Your Wings & Fly'.

Thanks for stopping by....happy creating.

Have A Wonderful Day

At The Sisterhood of Crafters our July monthly theme is
Stripes and/or Dots.

I went strictly with dots using a dotted paper from
My Favorite Things Poppin' Polka Dots.
I die cut with a Spellbinders Floral Oval.
The flowers are Waffle Flower  'Flower Focal' die that I purchased
back in February .  I die cut  them from a white card scrap and then inked
with Altenew inks.  The sentiment is The Ton Easy Expressions.

Thanks for stopping by...happy creating!!

Soak Up The Sun

Our monthly challenge for June begins today at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
with a theme of Fun In The Sun.

Living in the Great Lakes state and about 25 minutes from
Lake Michigan, my idea of fun in the sun is 'beach time'.
Since I'm (ahem) 'older'  I am more into walking the beach and
looking for beach glass then I am being a 'sun bunny'
but my card today is more about lazy days sunbathing!

I used for the first time a Sizzix die set Beach Day.
I cut all the pieces out of a white card stock scrap and then
colored each little piece in with alcohol markers,
when I popped the flower center out it flew across the room,
so, instead of cutting a new one, I just replaced it with a gem.
The background wavy paper is from LDRS, You Are My Sunshine
paper pad.

Just a fun little summer card.
Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!!

3D Flowers

Hello friends, at The Sisterhood of Crafters our theme for the month
is FLOWERS.
As you have probably seen on some previous blog posts
I have been a bit addicted to the Katy Sue 3D layered cards.
These gorgeous tulips are one of them.  All the pieces punch out and
then you use thin pop ups to layer them making them 3D.
I created a 5 1/2" square card as this is a pretty big panel.

The 3D effect:

It's May, time for all those flowers,
so come on over and have some floral fun with us!!

Here's To Sunshine

Hello friends at The Sisterhood of Crafters our theme is
Springtime Designer Papers.

I have a few very favorite makes of designer papers and one of them is
Paper Rose, this one is their Spring Bunnies paper.
I added some grass along the bottom and a die cut bunny
that for some reason I am not sure of whose it is, maybe Memory Box?
The carrot is from Sizzix.

Come on over to The Sisterhood of Crafters with YOUR Springtime papers.

It's Your Birthday

Hello friends, today at The  Sisterhood of Crafters our new
challenge theme is 'Shades of Green'.

This year I have vowed to use up some of my already
'spare parts' let alone some of my scraps, and things I have had around for a
VERY long time.  This puts a little hindrance on what I usually create
but it is also something that needs to be done.

That is where this card originates from...
The embossed background was already done and mounted on a card base,
so I added a scrap of designer paper and sentiment (Stampendous)
stamped on a die cut label along with greens from my already
created stash of flowers and greens.  I die cut a small bow to finish.

Our challenge at The Sisterhood is now a month long
challenge, so plenty of time for you to come and join us!

Cup Of Hearts

Hello Friends, it's time for our new monthly challenge at
The Sisterhood of Crafters.
This months theme is Red and/or Pink.

I started with a different 'paper' of sorts.
I'm not sure what to call it as it is not vellum but more of a clear
plastic from last year's Recollections Valentine's Day paper pack.
The coffee cup I already had die cut from Pretty Pink Posh
and added some IO fun hearts to it.  The sentiment is Fun Stampers
Journey 'Be Mine'.

Mitten Snowflake Gift Card Holder

It's winter time at The Sisterhood of Crafters and our
challenge theme is SNOWFLAKES

I made this pretty mitten gift card/money holder.
A few years ago I made about 25 of these for the
five adult kids we have and all the grands plus some!
Last fall I created about a dozen more for a craft show
that I signed up for but never got to attend due to an
illness and this is one of the mittens I created for that!
I used a Sunny Studios Woolen Mitten die and a pretty
paper from my stash!  I've made several different
gift card/money holders but have to say this was
one of the easiest!!  I die cut a snowflake then
painted on some Tombow glue and
coated it with a snowy glitter!

Santa Cupcake

Hello friends, at The Sisterhood of Crafters
our challenge theme is 'CHRISTMAS'!
Pretty darn easy for this time of year!

I pulled out a cute and fun never been used before
Cottage Cutz Santa Cupcake die.
I have to say this little 'rascal' was picky but also fun to make.
The Cottage Cutz dies when completed are always so worth it to me,
I think they are adorable with all the fun details!
I die cut him from all white card stock scraps then colored each piece in
with Copics.  The pretty papers came from
Echo Parks 2023 Have  Holly Jolly Christmas 6x6 pad,
one of newest and favorite Christmas pads!
I placed on a couple Tutti Design ovals.
I wasn't sure about adding a sentiment on the outside
so I simply left it off!

Head on over to The Sisterhood of Crafters
and have some 'Christmas' fun with us!!
