Little "Wren" House

I did a workshop on Sunday and we made these tiny wren houses uisng the SU milk carton die...so very simple...inside I put a bit of Easter grass and a few chocolate eggs....after all you have to have eggs in a birdhouse...right??  We could have added a bit more, trimmed the roof with a scallop punch, but time was a factor......and look at that roof paper...yummy!!

Take The Time

Here I am doing yet another challenge...but who could resist a challenge from a place called "The Shabby Tea Room"???  I know I couldn't!!!  The challenge was to use scraps...I have plenty of those...and remember awhile back I sorted ALL my paper scraps by color???  So easy peasy to use now, and I find myself using them all the time...a perfect challenge for me to do!!
I did a bit of sewing on this card.....left it simple as the scrap bits of paper were so pretty... I didn't want to cover them up!  Sorry the picture is a bit "slanted" haven't figured out if I was holding my camera that way...or maybe my head is "crooked"...lol!!!

Just Hoppin' By

I did this crazy frog card for Betsy Veldman's challenge to use your die cut machine to make a "shape" card....the hardest was making the decision of which shape to make...I saw this cute frog on one of my newer cartridges , but have to tell it, he took me forever....lots of cutting and re-cutting to get what I wanted!   I attached the back and the front of the card together with my "new" tool of the month...my TH tiny attacher...such a fun little gadget!!.  The sentiment, as well as the inside of the card is from a SU set...well off to do her other 2 challenges.......look below to see another one I did today!!

Paper Piecing Challenge With Your Die Cut Machine

At Betsy Veldman's blog, she was having a challenge using your various die cut machines...on this day it was for paper piecing...I paper pieced my umbrella and also did some paper piercing on it.........kind of fun to use my machine for  a change!  The rabbit is a stamp I have had a long time...I like his somewhat "vintage" look!  I stamped the sentiment in SU Only Orange....
The next photo made me laugh...gee...who is that in my tulip...Cloe, could that be you??

Friendship Garden

Frustrating morning on blogger...could not get into my blog.....if you see any "funny business" please let me know!
I decided to try my 2nd attempt with my Copics...now keep in mind I only have about 7 sketch pens~kind of limits one's creativity....have high hopes of getting more soon!!  I spent way too much time on this card...not with the Copics, but picking out paper~ribbon and a design.....all this time on the paper which has a shiney damask design, only to cover most of it up anyhow!!
I did a few more images with my limited Copic colors this morning...I will post those tomorrow, though I think this one is the best of "the bunch"

Bird On A Branch~Emboss Resist

Not such a pretty day here today...gloomy.....good day to stamp!!  My May 2009 Stampin' Success had a card using "Bird On A Branch" with the emboss resist technique.....I changed mine a bit, adding the free sale-a-bration Vintage Labels for my sentiment...
I love this set, it stamps beautifully and I just love the look of it, not to mention the set utilizes our SU punches!  Simple but elegant cards....and no flowers!!!!
