Post It Notes Holder

This week at Joan's Garden's the challenge is to make a "post it note" holder.....

use the color purple.....

a die cut background....

a flower...

and a butterfly or something of nature.....

My background die cut was made on my Cricut using the Mother's Day cartridge cut at 2 3/4"....

the flower was using the Cheery Lynn Designs miniature rose die.....

I had gone to their web page and watched a video where the tiny rose was cut several times on several layers of crepe paper, then the edges inked with a Copic.....

the flower reminds me of a carnation this way....

both the leaf die and the rose die can be purchased at Joan's Gardens......

Birdie and A Peat Pot Basket

I made this birdie and little peat pot basket for my Mom to cheer her up for Easter....

I am taking it to her in a few minutes....

the birdie was made with my new SU Sizzix die.....

I am making me one tomorrow!!

The little peat pots I got on clearance, they are kind of tiny, but fun....

My Mom loves yellow...but mine will be made more "cottage chic"....

I am putting this in the challenge at Decorate To Celebrate....

Easter Clouds

Crazy title, I know, but,

I had to share one of my new background stamps with you from Impression Obsession...

these stamps are HUGE...5 3/4 square....

don't you just love the background...it looks like DS paper!!

So far I have purchased 2 of these.....

they take a Mega acrylic block to stamp with....

I found mine at Ellen Hutson....

I want to own them all...sigh!!!

104 years

No pics to post today...just went to my hubby's Aunts funeral today....

she was 104.....

can you imagine all she has seen....

all the Presidents that have come and gone in 104 years....

one of her grandsons joked at a photo of her...

he said.....did you see Aunt Helen's picture on that pony??

She was trying out for her drivers license..haha!!

She will be missed!!
