I would love/appreciate you going to the blog and leaving me some "love"!

Hello Everyone, it's Diane here with my design for Classy Cards N Such...
I am super excited to share some of my creative projects with you the next few months!

Today I have this gorgeous fall wreath made with Impression Obsession Leaves die....this die comes with 5 different leaves, and I have used 4 today, each cut 4 times.  The leaves have been painted with
different tones of color from Autumn Brilliance Twinkling H2Os...oh my, these are so fun and easy to work with and add such a gorgeous "twinkle".

I kept my card, though layered, rather simple so the focus is on the wreath itself.  Each leaf was mounted with Joy Foam Pads small.  My wreath is mounted on one of my very favorite Cheery Lynn Designs die called French Pastry.  This is a beautiful, but intricate die and I can highly recommend the Cuttlehug and Crafters Tools both by Cheery Lynn Designs to enable you to have a perfect cut every time!!

The background paper under the wreath is a lovely design from Simple Stories called Vintage Bliss.
It is a stunning 6 x 6 paper pad, even the little butterfly you see is from the pack.

I hope you have enjoyed my card for today and have fun creating one of your own!!

Welcome to my blog and very first week of our 4 week hop!!
For our first week, we are doing "Spring".....
did you ever play paper dolls when you were little??
Remember all the fun you had dressing them??
Well, these dolls are just as much fun....
so addicting finding "just the right" paper for their clothes!!

So addicting, that I had to do not one, but two dolls...
My first doll uses the paper from the gorgeous Graphic 45
Secret Garden line.....

she has such a "secret garden" that the only way to get in
is with a key....
see her little key around her neck?

And how about that banner at the bottom...love??

I stamped her dress 3 times to get the layered look and pockets
I wanted..just so I could give her a spade...
Her seed packet has a tag that pulls out
to add something personal to....

My second girlie is a bit more "funky".....

check out those striped tights she has on
and her glittery sparkle shoes!!

She is mostly made from my scrap bin!!
Here is your hop lineup.....

Nellies Nest (that's me)

Don't forget to read the rules, leave comments, hop along
and you could win this from me.....

Thanks and see you next Tuesday!!!

Well, hello my garden friends, Diane visiting with you today!  Don't you love flowers?  I know I do and when all these
flower dies started "popping up" in the Classy Cards 'n Such shop, I was super excited!!
Today I am showing you two alike, but very different cards using some of the

Cheery Lynn Designs build a flower and embellishment dies....
these dies contain numerous petals, bases
and leaves to build an endless "garden of flowers"
One of the easiest flowers to make is a Lily...goodness, there are so many colors of lilies
it is hard to choose one!!
Both flowers were "built" using the dies listed below:

The orange flower was colored with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers.
The colors used were Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, and Dried Marigold
Did you know that Classy Cards and Such has a wonderful marker club you can join to get all
the fab marker colors?  There are also 12 "new colors" you can preorder now!!

The Pink flowers were colored with Pan Pastels.

Both cards have the gorgeous Memory Box Quinn Flourish under the Lily
and the Spellbinders Classic Edges 2 for trim....

The paper used on the pink card is from Kaiser Craft called "The Lake House"
The paper used on the orange card is Graphic 45 Secret Garden.....the one in stock
is a bit different, but just as beautiful!!

A few other of my favorite products used are the
Cuttlehug  this is a "must have" in my opinion to cut the intricate dies...
you will be glad you bought it!!
Cheery Lynn Designs Tools  these also are very useful for the intricate dies....

I hope you enjoyed the Lilies and I will be back again soon with more creativeness!!

I am entering this in the Card A Day challenge "anything goes"

Kiss Me In The Summertime

Did I get your attention???
Probably not what you think....
I bought this cute little "critter" card from a set of six at Blue Moon Scrapbooking
they are from "Pretty Little Studio".....
The bitty bit of gingham paper, the heart and the fabric flower
are all pieces from my scrap bin and somehow the "kiss me" just seemed so right
as the little chippie looks like he is going to give a big ole' kiss to that strawberry!!
I also used an already cut top note die from my scrap bin....I have always loved this SU die!!

This week at City Crafters, the challenge is "summertime"....
now lots of things come to mind thinking of the summer...
beaches, flowers, umbrella drinks, but strawberries are always a
sure sign of summer to me...I can hardly wait for their juicy goodness to appear.....

So this is my take on summertime...strawberries!!

Hello Sweet Friend

I took some time out of my busy day for "me time"....
I came across this "new to me" challenge at "Paper Secrets"
using the sketch challenge below.

This sketch just called to me, I think it was the doily that did it...
you all know how I love doilies.....
I know the sentiment looks washed out, its the lighting
for the photos...next month I am ordering a light box
which should improve things greatly!!

I even finished the inside of my card for once !!!

I love how it all came together...the flower I made while in Indiana
last week at Joan's Gardens.....I came away with a mountain of new stuff....
had a ball meeting up with other friends, Dar from Ohio, Judy from Indiana,
Bette and Gretchen both from Illinois and met a new friend, Rita from Arizona
(she was there with her dog in her big RV and camped at  a nearby state park)
and then of course visiting with Joan herself!!

Supplies used are as follows:
Graphic 45 Little Darlings DS paper
SU Very Vanilla card stock, Soft sky Ink, Sentiment is from Six Sided Sampler, and oval punch
Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry Doily Die
Heartfelt Creations Flower and leaf and dies

Waiting

A few weeks ago I came across a new blog called
"Our Beautiful World".
It's a blog different from our papercraft world
and kind of fun to "take a day off" you might say
and share photos of what going on in your life...

This week the word was "waiting".

My photos were taken quite a few years ago with
my Kodak Easy Share of our barn during one of our Michigan winters...
We have a metal roof over the deck of the barn and it had started to slide off....
a perfect representation to me of the word.....
go check out the blog
read the rules, visit, see what's been shared and join in!!

On The Road With City Crafters

I have been gone from my poor neglected blog for so long
that I had to find time to post again!!
Remember the old song from Jim Croce "Time In A Bottle"??
well, I wish I had that bottle, because I would take a BIG swig of it
as I sure could use some more time!!

I rarely miss a challenge at City Crafters, but I have, so I couldn't let
another week go by without joining in!

This week the challenge is "On The Road"
which made me think of "travel"
which made think of a stork....now don't ask me why...
that is just how my tired old mind works!!
And just remember we all have traveled with that stork once...Ha!

I cut my stork on my Cricut and mounted him on some gorgeous
Glitz paper with pink girlie clouds on it!!
The welcome baby sentiment as well as the one inside is from SU
I added some pink gingham ribbon (hard to see) and white sheer ribbon
and a gorgeous Prima (I think) flower.......

well, that's it for now...back to my creative room to finish my designs
for Classy Cards n Such.......don't forget, you can use the link above right
with the code DIANE-10 to get a 10% discount now thru Sept at
Classy Cards n such online store...see ya!!
