Mason Jar Love at The Shabby Tea Room

Time for a new challenge at "The Shabby Tea Room" !!

Our theme is "Mason Jar Love", letting the inspiration photo inspire you!

I used Bugaboo Flower Pot 4 for my focal image,

colored in with Copics and fussy cut it out!

The mason jars I cut from white vellum using an IO mason jar die

and doing one of my favorite things, coloring on the back of the vellum,

giving a nice soft and muted look!

You might ask, "Why the heck didn't she just cut them from colored vellum?"

The answer to that is I just didn't have "the" perfect colors I wanted

and the coloring only took minutes to achieve the "milky" look I was after!

I made 10 tiny rolled flowers to add to my mason jars.

A piece of lace was added at the bottom.

I stamped a Just Rite sentiment, 

added a bow with a little birdie "perched" on it

and my card was complete!!!

Rose Garden

Good Morning!

Today is a new challenge at the "Dies R Us" challenge blog

and our theme is "Flourishes"

I think I was in the "Spring Time" mood when I started making this card!

I bought the Rosy Rose die before Christmas, but wasn't quite sure

how I was going to "fill" in the color.

This particular die, cuts an outline of the rose, making many,many options to

choose from for color. 

I had purchased a bit of "Origami"  paper that was made in Japan with

another project in mind, but there are so many papers in the packet, that

I "snatched" one out for my Rose.  It is a tone on tone, almost see threw

paper that I thought was perfect for it.  After cutting out the die, I used 

some spray E6000 and applied to my paper (Scor-tape paper works well, too).

I then hand cut the entire piece out, it was fast and easy!

The gorgeous paper underneath is 

Wild Rose Studio Annabelle's Garden paper pack.

I just love these paper packs as the prints are so pretty and dainty, 

perfect for cards!

I mounted my Rose, leaves and my flourish sprigs on a Spellbinders die

cut from the Exquisite Circles set...one of my favorite dies!

The pretty ribbon/bow, I was standing in the checkout line at Michaels and they

had their $1 ribbons close by and I just happened to see this odd color of sheer,

so I grabbed it, (along with a few others)...and I was instantly happy when it 

matched the papers and my Rose perfectly!

A Little Bit Green

Good Morning!!

I used one of my newest and favorite Embossing Folders "Quilt Blocks"

I do this all the time and it works!

After embossing my card, I added a few green splatters, on top of that

 a punched trim piece.

The Sprigs were cut from a gold foil which I added sequins to.

The heart is so pretty it is a Sizzix die.  The tiny shamrocks are cut

from a very old Revolutions die...a few finishing touches and my card was done!

Friendship Tag

Hello my friends!!

It's time for a new challenge at "The Sisterhood of Crafters"!

My "Sistah" Terri is our hostess and she has chosen

"Sweethearts and Roses" for our challenge!

 I decided to go with something a little bit different this time

and made a "friend" tag!

The entire tag started out with a piece of scrap paper

and a ribbon bow I had laying on my desk.

The two of them looked so good together, I just had to combine them.

The paper is a Prima one that came in a group of papers I had won last year!

I just love the colors, design and tone of it.

The ribbon was also free, from a past SU Sale-a-bration giveaway.

I think it is so pretty!

I cut out a heart flourish  from a Cheery Lynn Designs die,

added some Roses and trinkets to the bow.

The sentiment is from the SU "Friends 24-7" set.

The butterflies are ones that had previously been cut.

I added a bit of mesh trim from Websters Pages 

and vintage sequin trim at the bottom.

I have always had a fondness for tags and think this turned out great!!

for our challenge "Thoughtful"

Hello Classy Friends.

Diane here with you today with my card for our newest challenge

"Thoughtful"!

Now my card isn't a true "thoughtful" card but more of a

I am thinking of your birthday type of card.

Make sense?  Probably not, but I had already adhered the 

Happy Birthday down and it's staying put..lol!

  I started with a background paper from Bellisima A5 paper pack

which I distressed before adhering down.

The gorgeous lattice circle is a Joy! Crafts die Billie's Circle .

Next I made a  flower, by  using a gold metallic ink

and stamping it with Heartfelt Creations Ariana Blooms set,

then cut it out with Heartfelt Creations Ariana die set.

While I had both the dies and stamps out, 

I cut many more as shown below to use at a later date.

After the flowers were stamped and cut, I added TH Distress inks

Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick, blending the colors a bit

using the Mini Ink Blending Tool.

I flipped the flowers over and spritzed with the Spritzer Bottle

and used the Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat and

Paper Blossoms Tool Kit to form the flower.  

Once the flowers were colored, I did go back and

sponged on more of the gold metallic ink to the petal edges.

I added a Memory Box Evershan Branch I cut from a black

piece of discarded packaging. (Beverly can order this die for you)

A tiny bird was made using Meadow Branch Bird.

The top of the bird was cut using So Silk Fair Blue 130# card stock.

and the bottom with Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic 105# card stock.

Morning All....

I think this is the last of my Valentines for this year!!

My friend wanted me to make her some cards for her kiddos

and also saw those cute little treat pouches I have HERE

and wanted some of those, too.

Sooooo, I have been busy creating them and am hand delivering

them to her today!

Colorful

Happy Sunday to You!

I am taking a break on this beautiful Sunday morning

from my "paper crafting" to join in with the girls from

"Our Beautiful World"

Today's word is "colorful".

I went with a few photo's from my picture files....

This is my granddaughter Kendall with

Ronald McDonald at a fundraiser 

(she is  9 today, it's her birthday)

my how time flies

I know it is "easy" to add flowers as colorful...

so I choose my brightest ones!!

The next picture is of an American Indian Pow Wow I went to this summer  in August.

The reservation is about 1 mile from my home.

It is a beautiful place, and they have Pow Wows twice a year,

In my 21 years of living in this home, I have never attended

and I have missed so much.  I will be going again this year for sure.

It was a very moving ceremony, good food, and lots of fun!!

I actually have 7 grandchildren that are part of the tribe.
