Oh' Christmas Tree Challenge at The Shabby Tea Room

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at

This week our challenge theme is
"Oh' Christmas Tree"
using the inspiration photo below.

Our sponsor is Bugaboo stamps.
I used Make It Snappy - Oh Christmas Tree for my image.
I colored the image in with copics and though it is hard to see,
I heavily used a silver Stardust Glitter pen as well.

I stenciled  Stars for a background using silver ink on
one side and an embossed snowflake panel on the other.

A few die cut Christmas trees were added,
each with a silver glitter star on top!
I also cut the trees from white craft foam,
and slightly offset the die cuts so it would
add a bit of a look of "snow" underneath.

To finish I added a pretty bow and a snowflake charm!

Head on over to The Shabby Tea Room blog to see
what the other "shabby girls" have created.

Harvest Love

This is my post on the
Dies R Us challenge blog today!

Happy Fall!
I tell you, it sure is looking like (and feeling like, too) fall around here!
The leaves are all over the place (my poor hubby..teehee)!!
However, I don't know about you, but I love everything about fall....
the cool, crisp, clean air, gorgeous hues of color, all that yummy fall food!
It's just the best!

We have a new challenge starting today at Dies R Us.
Our theme is Thankful!!

I basically started with a cream card base, added designer paper,
and let the "die cut" fun begin!
If you don't know what an angel wing is,
it's a die to cut a back to put under your die cut if you wish.
This particular die comes with both the doily die AND the wing.
The die was cut from a gorgeous metallic paper.

The flowers were made using
Cheery Lynn Designs Cutie Fringe 3 and Cutie Fringe 4.
These are the easiest flowers to create.
You just grab your tweezers or quill tool if you have one, and roll,
glue and you have a flower!
I sprayed mine with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Gold.
They have a nice gold sparkle IRL.
I also added cranberry pearls to the centers of each.

For the leaves of the flowers
I used PoppyStamps Posh Outline

A bow,  gold Dew Drops and a sentiment were added to finish!
The sentiment is from the same pack of metallic paper,
it says "Plant smiles, grow laughter, harvest love"!!

(edited to add, there was a slight mix-up
of our themes on our DT only blog, so
my card is more for Fall, then Thankful...it happens..LOL)

Now pop on over to the Dies R Us challenge blog..
plenty of inspiration there, plus by entering you could be the lucky winner
of a gift certificate to the Dies R Us store...now wouldn't that be nice!!!

Hi, Diane with you today.
You have been seeing lots of holiday cards lately I am sure,
so today I have something a little bit ordinary to share.

I had some pretty paper I thought a little bit trendy
and decided to build my card on that.

After adhering my base paper I added a pretty edger
at the top using Impression Obsession Border Duo #1.
White Pearls were added to each scallop.

I have a real fondness for lattice dies and
Bille's Circle is a gorgeous lattice die and a
perfect place to add my flowers to
It was cut from Stardream Rose Quartz Metallic paper.

Flowers from my own supplies were added along with
tucked in leaves from Spellbinders Romantic Blooms One die set.
These are so pretty as they have so much detail!

Butterflies were made using Bluebell Stardream Metallic paper
and Joy! Crafts Fantasy Butterfly Die.

To finish I added a bow made from a snippet of ribbon I had left,
stamped a sentiment and  few more white pearls were added.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Merry Christmas

I am back again with one of the cutest little images
from Crafty Secrets.
Actually this is from a piece of the beautiful digital papers

I just love these little snow babies and can't seem to quit using them!
(I have another in the works, too :>) )

I kept this card rather simple so it would be easy to mail
by just adding a few stitched snowflakes with gems,
snow drifts and a twine bow with snowflake charm.

I love how it turned out...so cute, clean and simple...
these digitals really allow you to  put together
some fast, fun, and creative cards.

for more creative ideas and of course don't forget to shop at
the Crafty Secrets online store, where there just happens to be a
BIG sale going on!

Joy~Hope~Peace

Happy Thursday to you!
Want to make a quick card for Christmas?
You do?
Then this is the die for you!
It is a Sue Wilson Designs - Festive Collection

Look how pretty it is, and it cuts like a dream!!

All I did was cut it once from a glitter paper and
also from a white craft foam sheet to give it some dimension.
(sorry the glitter isn't showing up well,
I find red card stock as hard to photograph as white)

Adhered the die cut on the foam piece,
then adhered it  on the card front....
added a little red gem and it was done!!

The embossing folder I used
(because I am always asked about this folder)
is Sizzix Hero Art Dot.

Hurry and grab this die before it gone, it is fabulous!!

Visit here Monday - Friday for plenty of inspiration
and see many of the dies in use!

Tis The Season Shaker Card

Wow...darn near half way November already
and I barely have started my Christmas cards.

Well, this weeks challenge at
The Sisterhood of Crafters will help out, as
our theme is
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
and Darlene is our hostess.

As you all know I have a fondness for shaker cards.
and went with a very simple one.

I embossed a white card stock panel, then
using a Spellbinders Ornament die, cut the negative.
Clear card stock by Heartfelt Creations was adhered
along with foam tape and sequins.

For my cute little scene I added adorable paper from
Snow Day by Lawn Fawn,

A pretty red bow was added along with a
hand glittered jingle bell!  Easy Peasy!!

Take a trip over to  The Sisterhood and see
what my "sistahs' have created....

Hi, Diane with you today with my card for this weeks challenge
Mittens and/or Stockings with a touch of green.

I started my card with a round white card stock base topped  with a
Spellbinders Heart Circle die cut from Stardream Jupiter Metallic paper.
I thought this die would work cute with the little hearts in the mittens!

A few Impression Obsession Pine Branches were added to the top
along with a bow and a jingle bell tied with Doodle Red Twine .

For the mittens I used PoppyStamps Stacked Mittens die

I cut the die twice and paper pieced  red in here and there.
I also cut the die from a white craft foam to give dimension.
Tiny Red Pearls were added to the flowers on two of the mittens.

A little die cut Joy was added for the sentiment!

Thank you for visiting with me today!
