Harvest Hello's

I have been working steadily on Christmas cards and needed a little break,
so I looked around blogland at some of the challenges and found
this one at Impression Obsession that sounded fun
'Harvest Hello's'.

To create my card I started with a much neglected embossing folder
from Sizzix 'Come In', I don't think I have ever used this folder
before but thought it would be a fun base for all my fall 'decorations...
kind of welcoming, don't you think?

I inked the edge of my door panel with TH Distress ink 'wild honey'.
Next came all the die cutting.
The cat and I (Chloe) sat on the floor at 3am and die cut all these fun
little dies...(it was one of my insomnia sleepless nights).

For the wreath on the door I used Small Leaves Die Set DIE030-S
and Leaf Cluster DIE066-C.
I added a little hemp bow to finish.

The rest of my 'door scene' was made using
Bushel of Apples DIE204-B (I cut the apples from a red foil paper),
Pumpkin Patch DIE-202G and the little squirrel is Squirrel Set DIE-213D.
A few leaves left over from the wreath above were added as well!

Chole and I had a lot of fun creating this card and the dies have a lot of
embossed details that my camera just didn't want to pick up.

Don't forget to stop by my blog at 9pm tonight for the 'reveal'!!
You won't want to miss it!

Birthday Cupcake

Today is a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters
and the theme was chosen by our 'sistah'  Agata
which is  'Oh Boy, what next'....what makes you say "Oh Boy".

I had to give this one a little thought,
but as I was looking through some already printed digitals
from past design teams I found this Kenny K little image
I had printed and not used.
(I normally, when printing digitals print more then one
in case I mess up along the way, I just grab another).
I think the little guy carrying the cupcake above his  head
and so high in the air would make anyone say "Oh Boy"!!!

I colored him with Copics and a few glitter gel pens for some tiny sparkle.
He was cut out on a Cheery Lynn Designs fishtail banner.

I had 2 of the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched banners sitting on my
work table and they seemed just perfect to use with
my colored image!

The design paper underneath is from a very old paper pad
and it went pretty good with all the rest!

So head on over to The Sisterhood and see all the fun things
the design team has to inspire YOU to join in with us!

Let's Hang Out

This is my 3rd and final card I did for the
Just Us Girls Block Watercolor Stamping challenge.

I used a different size block for this one, and one with a scalloped edge of sorts,
making it a bit smaller.

TH distress inks used were Mowed Lawn~Mermaid Lagoon~Picked Raspberry,
a MUCH brighter combo then my first 2 cards.

The stamp set is an older one from Flourishe's 'Friendly Reminders'.

I embossed the image with Sparkle N Sprinkle White Detail embossing powder
using Versamark.

The sentiment is part of the stamp set mentioned above.
It was stamped with SU Melon Mambo.

Well, I certainly had fun with this challenge,
something very different form the ordinary!!

A Day of Joy

This is the second card I made for the
Just Us Girls Block Watercolor Technique

I once again used my TH Distress Inks, the colors are
Cracked Pistachio~Abandoned Coral~Shaded Lilac.

I also used Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Detail Embossing powder
and Versamark to stamp the Flourish's image and sentiment
from the Kids At Play set....not sure how old this set is, I would guess at least 5 years or older!

Really loved how this one turned out.
I will be back later this evening with my 3rd and final one.
This was not only fun, but easy...give it a try!!

Happy Halloween

I needed a little DT break and something to get me excited to create
and I saw this challenge at
and decided it was just the inspiration I needed.
I did watch the video as recommended and I can
see myself sitting down this winter making an
entire selection of these cards!
I do have the TH water color paper as suggested,
however I couldn't find where I had stashed it..lol!

Just Us Girls .... Block Watercolor Stamping

I did 3 of these panels for cards and will show the other 2 later today.
I actually made these on Sunday, but they had to sit awhile (2 days..lol)
while I figured out what I wanted to do with them.

First up is a panel if did with TH Distress Inks
Carved Pumpkin, Dusty Concord and Mustard Seed (I think)....

Well these colors certainly reminded me of Halloween
so I chose an oldie but goodie stamp set from SU 'House of Haunts'
I embossed my house and sentiment with
Sparkle N Sprinkle Black Detail embossing powder
by first inking with Versamark.

I have to admit that my acrylic blocks for this technique were
covered with glue and etc., so I had to first clean my blocks with
'Goo Gone', which led me to cleaning all my scissors, tweezers and
bone folders as well.....
do you ever do that, it's like when i clean up my clutter in the kitchen,
take what goes into another room,
then see something in that room that goes somewhere else,
pick it up and go to the next room and on and on...
NOT a very good use of my time..lol...but that's how I operate...
anyhow, once I had all my tools cleaned I managed to finish not one but THREE cards!!!

Gratitude

This is my post on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today..enjoy!

Today I have a pretty 'fall' card to share with you using the new stamp set Basket of Hope.
I added a bit of glitzy 'goodness' to it, let me tell you how I did it.

I die cut a pretty background to go under my stamped image using
Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight.
After it was cut I grabbed a piece of SNS Sticker Paper.

Peeling back the protective covering, I simply 'adhered' the die cut to the paper.

I then sprinkled Sparkling Snow glitter in all the open areas.  A little tip is to use a coffee filter
or a piece of scrap paper (like I did) folded in half to catch all the excess glitter, making it easy to just dump it back in the container.  Once done I used Tonic 5" Mini Scissors to trim around the die, then adhered to my red card stock base.

I found that the Tutti Designs Nesting Rectangle die fit almost perfectly on top
of the SB die, so I stamped the Basket of Hope image on to that using Nuvo Hybrid Ink Acorn Brown.  I also stamped the sentiment with the same Acorn Ink.
I colored the image with Copics, then stamped just to jar cloth onto a scrap of gingham paper
and once again using the Tonic 5" mini scissors, I cut it out and paper pieced it onto the jar.using Nuvo Glue Pen Medium.  Once done I used pop up foam to attach the image to the glittered die cut.

This was an easy card to make with the beautiful Basket of Hope stamp taking center stage!

Thank you for visiting with me today!!
