Now onto my card.
I used the new adorable stamp set a Cat’s Meow .
Let me tell you how I made it.

I started out by stamping six kitties.

Each kitty was then colored with Copics and fussy cut with
I used one of the glitter pens on two different kitties for the eyes (green pen)
The kitties were then set aside.

We were each sent 3 samples of and crafted papers and I thought one of mine looked
like a basket weave..
Well, low and behold it just happened to have the name
so I made a basket for all my kitties to set in.

Well, low and behold it just happened to have the name
so I made a basket for all my kitties to set in.
I made a background by stamping one of the sentiments
with Versamark.
Then embossed with Coffee embossing powder.
I ran Tear-ific Tape ¼”  down each side and then added
Sunset glitter down each edge, using the Glitter Brush  to brush off any excess.
NuvoGlitter Drops Golden Sunset were then added in each corner.
The panel was then adhered down to black card stock

I added a flower to the basket by first stamping the flower in Versamark,
then embossing with Red Apple  embossing powder and coloring with Copics.
I did the same for the leaf but this time using Key Lime embossing powder.
Both were fussy cut using the Tonic Mini Scissors 5”.
A tiny bow was added to one of the kitties.

Here is the finished card once again.

Next on the hop is our very lovely and talented Shona.

Give Thanks

I have been busy busy getting ready for my friend Dar to visit
I had to laugh when I told her I had to clean out the room
she was going to stay in and she said,
oh don't worry all I need is a bed as she NO idea that the room
was absolutely loaded with stuff, as I had been working on
the 'idea' of downsizing and emptied out a huge linen close
AND a walk in closet all into that room to sort.
Started it in July and never got back to it,
so I had a MAJOR clean up before she got here...whew!!
So, all that being said, I promise I will make it around to your blogs soon
and have a couple of important emails to answer too,
just busy like I said and exhausted!
But we are on day 3 and having a ball!

The card I have to day is an easy one....
using a Tutti Designs die 'Fancy Pumpkin'
and a dollar stamp from Michael's, twine
and a few sequins, it's done!

Let's The Sparks Fly

A new challenge begins today at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and is being hosted by our lovely 'sistah' Darlene.
She has chosen the theme of
'Let The Sparks Fly'
meaning we want to see lots of  'sparkle' on your creations.

One of the things that brought this card to surface
was the small bit of scrap paper laying on my desk.
It was soft and pretty so I just went with building off of it.

After adhering the scrap down to my card base,
I ran a strip of Sparkle N Sprinkle 1/4" Tear-ific Tape down one side
and burnished Golden Wheat glitter on.
This is a very fine glitter and one of my favorites as it is such a 'soft' color.

Next, I used Spellbinders Adorning Squares to stamp my image on.
The image is an  OLD SU (2000) stamp 'Stipple Butterfly'.
First time using for me, however I purchased this at a garage sale used.

I stamped first in Versamark,
then applied  'Hit The Beach'  embossing powder.
This embossing powder is interesting as not only does it have glitter in it,
but has a 'sheen' to it as well.
If you could see this IRL, you would notice it around the outside of the image.

To finish I stamped a sentiment (another oldie from SU)
first in Versamark, then heat set with Gold Detail embossing powder.

So head on over to The Sisterhood of Crafters and see all the
beautiful work by my 'sistahs' and join in with us!

Christmas Angel

With Christmas fast approaching (hush my mouth!)
I have lots of Christmas cards to share that I made for the
Tutti Designs store that never got put in there...sigh.
Kind of sad as I worked my fanny off making 102 cards,
but that was when the hurricane hit Florida
and well, lets just say 'time ran out'.
But I can show them here
and my first one is using the Tutti Designs Framed Angel.

I love this die as it covers an entire A2 card size, but leaving just enough
of an outside frame of your card stock underneath to show.
I used a shiny/patterned paper for the die cut and a metallic paper in red underneath.
The ribbon is from RRR and a bit darker grey then it is showing.
I added a snowflake button to the center of the bow.

Old Fashioned Things

This is  my post on the
Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today

Hi, Diane with you today with my second 'country' card using the set

I die cut a rectangle ,
then die cut a circle out of that
I coated the entire outside piece with the Large Nuvo glue pen
then coated with Autumn Spice microfine glitter.

The basket image was stamped in Versamark
them embossed with Pumpkin Pie Marbled embossing powder...YUM!
I colored in the eggs with Copics

I used a black card stock for the base and a very country green gingham
designer paper for the background

A stitched rectangle was die cut
and using the TH Tonic Stamp Platform, Versamark
and Black Detail embossing powder
I was able to stamp and emboss my sentiment perfectly on the die cut.

I outlined the sentiment using a pen from the
Nuvo Glitter Markers Northern Lights set.

The cows were stamped with Versamark,
then embossed with Midnight Madness glitter.
This is one of the embossing powders with glitter in it...
I just love all the sparkle the embossing has!

I finished by tying a hemp cord bow around the entire card.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

You're The Best

Well it is getting to what I call
'the ugly time of the year', I know not a very pleasant word.....
the leaves have mostly fallen off all the trees
and are all over the place...
the gardens are dead and the hosta's are frozen, turning their leaves yellow,
it's soggy out and we don't see much sun.
I am more then ready for Spring!

I have a card today for a man or boy using a fun silhouette die
by Tutti Designs called 'Fishing Buddies'.

Instead of using the 'normal' black for the silhouette,
I cut it from a brown/tan card stock and turned it into a more 'fallish' card.
I die cut a few fall leaves (Impression Obsession) from my scrap papers
and added a sentiment.
though the picture doesn't show it well, but all the leaves are embossed
with little 'leaf veins'.
