Time for a new challenge at

The Sisterhood of Crafters

and Darlene is our hostess and she has chosen the theme

"BIRDS".

I love being on a design team where I can use ANYTHING I want.
That gives me the opportunity to use all kind of neglected things from my stash.
One of those very neglected things are my stamps!
I seem  to gravitate more and more to the dies.
So, all that being said, you will be seeing more stamps used
for design teams such as this one...hooray!!

This is a big 6 x 6 card.  I wanted the base to be white,

but I didn't have any 12 x 12 white card, 

so I cut the card from a pink card stock 5 1/2" x  5 1/2".

and added a 6" piece of white to the back of the card.... a bit different.

The die cut the bird is stamped on as well as the sentiment is a

Tonic Ribbon and Bow Layering set.

I added Bubblegum glitter to the blooms 
and Gecko glitter to the leaves,
then used a Stardust Gelly Roll pen on the nest itself.
I think you can see that in the first picture better then this one.

This  pretty Spring card is sure to cheer anyone up!

Scenic Stained Glass

Today I have another card using

Stained Glass Landscape.

It was basically created the same way as the other

stained glass cards I have shown over the last week or so.

I once again used the Ken Oliver Stick It on black card stock

to cut the frame,

then adhered it to vellum once again flipping it over to color with Copics.

Then I adhered the finished piece to a white card stock

to keep the designer paper underneath from showing through.

I used a sentiment from Technique Tuesday (2011) to finish.

To get a nice, clear stamped sentiment, 

I used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform.

This will be my 3rd and last entry into Mod Squad for their 

'Color Your Vellum' challenge!!

Floral Daisy Eggs

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today.

With Easter being extremely early this year,

I thought I had better show my Easter cards I created 

using the Tutti Designs Floral Daisy Egg.

Two simple, but very different ways to use these dies.

The first card was pretty simple using a reversed embossed EB folder and my Cuttlebug

and the Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Squares die.

The second card, I used Tutti Designs Garden Background

and again the Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Squares,

I did use a bit of Distress Oxide Ink behind the egg.
The Cuttlebug was once again used to die cut the three dies.

Tulips

Hi All,

it is snowing today UGH and looks like it will thru Wednesday.

Just to cheer myself up, I have a card full of bright Spring colors!

I used the Tutti Designs Tulip Panel for this card.

I think it is so pretty!

I die cut it then colored with Copics (not sure why the picture looks so blurry...ugh)

added a punched edge, sentiment and then done!

Stained Glass Cat

I have a pretty Stained Glass Cat

sitting in the window, bird watching perhaps?

I once again used the Ken Oliver Stick It on my black card stock

making it very easy to adhere to the vellum.

Once adhered, I flipped it over and colored with Copics.

When the coloring was done,

I added a white card stock panel to the back

(I didn't want my designer paper to show through).

I also die cut a Hello and added a little hemp bow....

it shouldn't add too much postage to the card!!

This is my second entry into the challenge at Mod Squad,

which is 'color your vellum'!

April Showers

Today I have a pretty simple card using up a few things laying around
like an embossing folder yet to be put away,
a die doily I rejected for something else,
a scrap of paper and an April Showers ephemera.
I put it all together for

So, what are YOU working on today?
I am sorting thru a few things in my creative room,
found some fun and interesting things
but basically have my cutting table all nicely cleaned and set up
as I had purchased a laminator and needed room for it...toys!!
Now to continue, it needs a major going thru, but no time for that now....
Have a wonderful weekend
 and we set our clocks to 'Spring Forward" tonight..so will lose and hour!

Coloring On Vellum

Today I saw a challenge that is right up alley so to speak.

It's at Mod Squad and and the challenge is to 

'Color Your Vellum'.

If you visit here often you will know how I love to do that that!

For this card I used a Tutti Designs Stained Glass Bird die.

 I love these dies and this is one of the ways I use them.

I had bought some Ken Oliver Stick It Sheets which are perfect

for an outline die like this,

makes it so easy to then stick it down on the vellum.

In fact, I love them so much 

I went back to Dies R Us and bought TWO more packs, lol!

Then I just flip the piece over and colored with Copics.

You can use other markers, but I like the softness of the Copics.

I added a pretty designer paper underneath and a twine bow,

pretty easy to mail!!
