Pretty Vine Die

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today using a pretty die

from a previous release called  'Vine'.

This die reminds me of a grape vine and is perfect for all

your fall cards.

I made two cards using this die.

The first card reminds of a rich wine country color,

maybe that is way I think of them as grape leaves.

But it was cut frorm a wine color paper,

the background paper was  embossed with dots

....I used two sizes of the Tutti Designs

Stitched Circles for the vine to adhere to.

A small hemp bow was added.

The second card was very simple.

The vine was die cut from a scrap of patterned paper

and added to a square of burlap....very fall-ish!!

That's it...pretty easy peasy...the dies do all the work!!

Pretty Palm Trees

This is my post today on the Cheapo Dies blog

Hi there, Diane filling in again this Wednesday

with a fun summer card.

Cheapo Dies came out with many wonderful summer dies

and I have been having lots of fun using them!

This die is Palm Trees

I used water color paper and Color Burst Powders for my background panel.

I love how you never get the same results twice

and I thought it a perfect background for the palm tree scene.

I just love this die!

Here is a nice up close picture of the detail of the die...even seagulls

are part of the die.

The sentiment was computer generated.

Wonderful Day

This is my post today on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog
today with a gorgeous card using the newly released 

Rainbow Roses digital stamp.

Isn't it a beauty?
I printed it out uncolored and used
Copics  R11, R21,R22,YG03,YG63
for my coloring.

I used a Tutti Designs Scalloped Rectangle die,
first by fussy cutting a few of the leaves,
then placing the die 'under' the cut leaves
(so as not to cut them off)
and that lets them hang outside the die cut.

This is how it looks when die cut...pretty neat isn't it and EASY!

Next I used a Tonic TangledTrellis Decor. Mini Die,
die cut it, then placed a piece of Tear-ific Tape 1 ½” under it,
I trimmed the excess off and the ends off that overlapped my card size.
I think next time I would make sure my card base was the exact size to fit the die...
a little poor planning on my part, but it still works!
Once that was done, I sprinkled  Cloud Nine glittter all over it
then used my Glitter Brush to brush off the excess.
If you use glitter, this is one tool I can recommend.
I pretty much use it every time I open a bottle of glitter
and it's my second one as I am ashamed to say I misplaced my other one,
how I don't know.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and the glittered top.

To make my splatters, I simply added a small bit of   
Brushable Glue with a bit of water added.
You just want it runny enough to splatter with your Aqua Flow 2 pk Water Brush.
Then sprinkle with Cloud Nine glitter letting it dry completely,
then once again use the Glitter Brush to brush away the excess.

Hello Friend

Our new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters

starts today and is being hosted by our lovely 'sistah' Vickie.

She has chosen the theme of "Printed Background".

My card was created entirely from a Graphic 45 paper pad

and a few Graphic 45 chipboard pieces.

My decision to make this card came about when I was looking through my

paper pads and this Hello Friend piece fell out.

I looked at it and thought well this is a good place to start..lol.

Using a few of the papers from the same pad, the chipboard pieces

and adding a bit of Nuvo Crystal dots and a bow and I had my card completed!!

Hello Sunshine

Here it is time for a new FUN challenge at 

Back To Basics and Beyond.

Our challenge pick for this time is a very easy one

Use a Digi!!

I have so many digitals in my files,

but I chose one that I already had 4 of them printed.

I purchased this digi a long, long time ago,

in fact it has a date of 2009 on it.

I purchased it to use as a birthday card for my daughter

(which I did)

as she has not one, not two, but 3 chihauhaus!

I found this little guy to look a bit 'mean'

so had a bit of humor by stamping the sentiment  'hello sunshine'

as he sure doesn't look like sunshine does he..lol?

He looks a bit more of 'grrr'!

The sentiment was from Stampendous, 

stamped in Dew Drop ink Bamboo Leaves.

The paper I used are from an older My Minds Eye pad (2012).

The die is a Cheery Lynn Designs.

The image was colored in with very few Copics.

Back To School

This is my post on the Cheapo Dies Blog today!

Hi, Diane filling in again this Wednesday

until all our new DT spots are filled.

I have a rather fun and unique die I used today

'Bookshelf'

just perfect for a back to school card!

I die cut in white, then colored in with Copics.

basically trying to 'mimic' the colors below.

I backed the die with a cream card stock then simply just cut around it.

I used an embossing folder and a chalk pen to

outline the words school time on the folder

I added some twine and tied on a little ceramic  school slate button.

Happy Halloween

Little Miss Cute Witch is headed home to her

Haunted House 

after partying at the witches ball most of the night.

LOL...Diane with you to share my card using a few of the newly released

Tutti Designs Halloween dies.

I die cut the Haunted House then placed yellow card stock behind

to get a bit of a 'glow'...it would also be great to use Distress inks behind it.

I just quickly trimmed around the outside edge...easy!

After die cutting the Cute Witch from white card stock,

I colored her in with my Copics.

On the onside of the card I die cut a Tutti Designs Stitched Rectangle

then stamped a 'spooky' Happy Halloween.

That's it...pretty easy peasy...the dies do all the work!!
