Run Run Rudolph Challenge

It's the first Wednesday of the month which brings us to a new
mood board and theme at Double D challenges.
The theme is Run Run Rudolph...meaning you are to use a
deer or moose of some sort and use the 'mood board' below.

When I created the mood board I purposely did with a die I had in mind.

The die is from Sizzix and perfectly cuts all the reindeer names out,
but it left off poor Rudolph, so I added him in 'real' form!
I used Nuvo Berry Red for his nose.

I backed the die with Navy Card stock,
then added a strip ppaer from Doodlebugs milk & cookies  6 x 6 pad.

There is gorgeous inspiration from the Design Team...

Christmas Word Tree

Today I have three cards featuring the
This dies speaks for itself (pun intended..lol)!

I just love these dies that with just a mere amount of added
paper and embellishments, you have a simple but yet
beautiful card!

The first card used  a pretty metallic card stock and bright red ribbon/bow
to set off the Christmas Word Tree die beautifully.

The second card, also very simple and made in the true colors of
Christmas 'red and green' and white of course.

The last card I obviously used a star EB folder,
the Christmas Word Tree die is cut from a pretty
metallic print paper, and a red metallic star.

Make sure to check out the Tutti Designs blog each day for
more beautiful inspiration.

Coffee Time

Today I am joining in with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!
I have been a 'stalker' of this but have never joined in.
My idea was to make my cards way in advance and be ready....
of course that didn't happen LOL...but I do have ONE card to enter!

I created my card using a 'recycled'  Folgers Coffee Aroma Seal
and using Paper Sweeties stamps and dies and an Impression Obsession snowflake.
The aroma seal was cut using a Tutti Designs tag die.
I had a heck of a time getting a picture as because of the metal background it
just wouldn't show true color/shine BUT
it is much better IRL.

I also added some Nuvo for a whipped cream
look in the cup.

The plaid paper is from a new Christmas pad from Recollections
'A Winter's Night' .
The paper also has metallic in it.
So this is my first and only entry..so far...but being the time of year
and all I have to do, I imagine this is it for me!

Impression Obsession Small Snowflakes Set
Knot much to say about this card...
all pretty explanatory .

This Build A Snowman die set has plenty of variations
to make it a special card...
such as a top hat, bow tie, lamp post, snow shovel etc!

I encourage you to head on over to the Dies R Us challenge blog

You Are The Happy

Today I challenged myself to actually do a card
for a challenge, not just find a challenge that
fits  a card I had already done...confused?  Lol.
(not saying though I won't add it to other challenges)

So I had first intended to do the challenge over at PoppyStamps
but when I went over to see what it was, it is already closed...whoops!

So then I went to Memory Box and yippee it was still going!
The theme is Falling For You/Fall card.
I made a 'Fall Colored' card since I am so late in joining in
and since Fall is pretty much over.
I like this card as even though the colors are of Fall,
I can still use it year round!

I started by using Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers
(using the largest circle)
then adding Memory Box Wild Blooms to the center
as this die cuts a negative.
I am really liking these negative dies as they add a
uniqueness to a card.

Then I sponged on a white card stock Tim Holtz Distress inks
using Peeled Paint~Spiced Marmalade~Barn Door
and placed it under the negative die cut.

I didn't want a bow so I added a snippet of tied ribbon.
The sentiment (which I love) is from a newly purchased SU stamp set
'Country Home'.

Hope you like it!!

Little Elf

Time for a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and is being hosted by our lovely 'Sistah' Debbie!

She has chosen the theme of
'Use a Stitched Die'.

I loved this theme as I had recently purchased a bunch of
very different stitched dies.

The one I am using for this challenge is
a Creative Expressions die by Lisa Horton
called Cheeky Elf.
There are 23 dies in this set and I have done lots
of dies similar to this, but this one is a bit 'picky'!
It has LOTS of tiny pieces,
and luckily I used LOTS of paper scraps for this one!

Not much to explain about this card,
pretty easy to see what was done.
I did add some 'Ice' Stickles along the 'hill'
and a sentiment that I think is from Kaisercraft.

So head on over to The Sisterhood
and see the beautiful variety of creations
my 'sistah's have created....join in with us!!

Snowy Day

Our new challenge is up and running at
I chose the challenge and it is one of my favorites
'coloring on vellum'!

There are tons of instructions on youtube
and lots of ideas on Pinterest.

But, basically. you just stamp your image with
Versamark on Vellum,
use a embossing powder
and heat set.
I used Sparkle N Sprinkles White Detail.

Once you have it heat set,
just flip it over and begin coloring with a pen/marker.
I used Copics for mine.

A little 'tip' is when you turn it over to
see your progress,
make sure to flip it back so you are coloring on the back side,
it's an easy mistake
that can ruin your project if you color on the wrong side.

I used a stamp set from Crafter's Companion that I have had for
years and never been used.
I also added some Stickles 'Ice" for sparkle
and a few snowflakes.

Head on over to the BBB blog and see all the beautiful
designs my teamies have created....
we would love for you to join in with us!!
