Valentine Sweater

New challenge theme is up and running at
It's a cute theme and pretty easy too...
A Shaped Card...no squares or rectangles though.

I knew right away what shape I had in mind.
came out with the cutest 'ugly sweater shaped card' cut file in early December
and it is so easy to use.
I did use my Cricut to cut mine
(using my Cricut more is another of my 'creative goals' this year)
but it also comes with a PDF file.

I made mine into a 'Valentine' sweater...
I have plans for an Easter sweater later on!

Here is a side view of it.
I added a glittery heart and banner from my stash.

The Proposal

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi, Diane with you today.
It seems like a lot of marriage proposals are made on Valentines Day
which will be here before you know it.
I have the perfect die for you to create a card to celebrate just such an occasion!
The die is 'Proposal'.

The first card was very easy by using a beautiful background paper,
and a die cut leaf and purchased Rose.
The sentiment was computer generated.

The second card is mostly black and white, (sorry the overlay distorts the colors slightly).
I also used the Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Hearts for this one
and cut a tiny glitter heart for her dress.

The third card uses the gorgeous Tutti Designs Rose Frame and
Tutti Designs Celebrate Word Set.
I paper pieced the dress and his tux.

Thinking of You

Do you have New Year's Resolutions?
Not me, I call them New Year's Goals....
goals to achieve some things in my creating world....

One is to find some fun challenges and challenge 'myself'.
Today I did just that with a brand new challenge I found.
something very different and unique....
something to make me use my stencils....

I am hoping to join in each month....
being monthly I should be able to...how FUN!

So here is my card.

The stencil I used is from Dreamweavers (I think Stampendous owns them now?)
I thought it might be a bit tricky using the inks since it is quite small...
it was...until I used the Nuvo sponges that have that tiny little tip on them
allowing me to get in tiny spaces.

I used oxide inks
worn lipstick~picked raspberry~cracked pistachio~spiced marmalade
The sentiment is from SU.

I am now curious as to what next months stencil challenge will be,
but I am ready for it as I seem to have a major amount of stencil products!!
I hope to see you join in the fun, too!!

'B' Is For Berries

Hello All, I have a Christmas card to share today,
Christmas you say, well yes I do...
I have a few I never shared before I ran out of time
PLUS
the fact I want to start my Holiday cards now
to save me much stress when the jolly old season comes around again...
seems time flies by and it will be here once again before we know it.
But, what really inspired me was the ABC Christmas challenge.

I have to say this card is much prettier IRL as they say.

It was created with a recycled card front that I die cut a

I used a gold ink to stamp the sentiment.
For some reason I had a hard time getting a good photo of it.

Happy Sweet Birthday #3 At Double D

We are celebrating our 3rd year at
Double D Challenges
and our theme is
'It's On The Menu'!!

We have a fun and fabulous mood board below to get you inspired!!

All you need to do is create anything that you would find on a menu....
does it make you hungry...YUM!!

Sometimes when I create these boards, the craziness kicks in
and I purchase a die/stamp just for that specific board!
That is what I did for this challenge!

I used a fun die from Sue Wilson Ice Cream Sundae.

Sue Wilson Designs - Necessities Collection - Ice Cream Sundae

I cut three of the 'ice cream'  in Neapolitan 'flavors'.
I added Stickles for the fudge topping.

The sprinkles paper is from American Crafts and the sentiment from Hero Arts.
The spoon was cut from a metallic paper.

Make sure and visit Double D Challenges to see
all the 'yummy' goodness the DT has created

because this is our 3rd year to celebrate,

Birthday Cards

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hi, Diane with you on this 1st day of January.
Wow, hard to believe we are already staring another year.

I thought we would celebrate a little by having a cake....
and a Stained Glass Cake at that!!

I have three of them to share with you today and first up is one
that I added to a sticky back paper then coated with glitter.
It was then colored with Copics.
I mounted it onto a Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Rectangle.

The second card was done with coloring on the backside of vellum,
I used Ken Oliver Stick It on all these die cuts,
making it easy to adhere on the vellum, then color.

The third card was using the Ken Oliver powders,
then once again I used the Stick It before I die cut it.
If you are not familiar with this,
you simply place it on the back side of your card stock
then die cut as normal.
It gives a stickiness to the back of the die cut...pretty neat and easy!

Party Time

Happy New Year!!!

Today on the Dies R Us Challenge blog
the theme is Anything Goes!
What could be a better theme for the first day of a new year!!

I stayed within a 'party' theme and choose a
Sue Wilson Shadow Box Celebration  die.

This is a bit of a 'different' die as it does not cut the outer edge
but does cut out every inside piece
allowing you to add an entire background like I did or you can add a different
color paper behind each square/rectangle.
The die measures 5" square making it easy
to figure out your card size, I went with a 5 1/2" square card.

All the pieces you see (including the sentiment May Your Day Sparkle)
with the exception of the letters for the word 'party'
are part of this die set, and there are many more included!

For the word party, I used
Cheapo Dies Font Unicorn.
I thought the 'unicorn' letters just shouted PARTY lol!!

I even finished the inside

Kind of fun bright and cheerful!!
