April Showers

Here we are into April already...YES!!
It brings us to a new challenge theme at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
and is being hosted by Vickie and she has chosen the theme of
'April Showers'.

I have been trying to use my Cricut more and more
and this fun little 'gator' is a result of that.

I used a bunch of scrap papers and he was so easy to assemble.
I popped him up on a wonky die cut rectangle
and because the stitching was so wonky
I added another piece behind and made it wonky too lol.

Isn't he just the cutest??
The sentiment is from my stash of wood stamps I have had forever it seems.

Make sure to go to The Sisterhood and see all the fabulous
'April Showers' by my 'sistahs'!!

Easter Lilies

This is my post on the
Tutti Designs blog today:

Hello, Diane with you today.
Since it is getting closer to Easter,
I thought I would share a few cards I made using the beautiful
stained glass Easter Lilies Window.
Keep in mind though,
even if it has the name 'Easter' in it's title,
this die can be used year round,
my own flower gardens are FULL of lilies!

The first card was made using a colorful 'inky' background....
I didn't make it, it was from a paper pad.
I die cut from white card stock and simply placed it over the paper
letting the various colors show through.
a few 'candi dots' were added.
Stamped a sentiment, added a pretty bow
and I have a simple but pretty card!

The second card I embossed a background
from a pretty metallic paper,
die cut from a green metallic
then adhered it down on another multi colored paper,
giving it the stained glass look.
I then carefully trimmed around the edges.
Another easy and pretty card!

Mother's Day

Hi All!!
Today I am guest designing at
Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge blog
and the theme is Mother's Day...
create a card a child would give to their Mother.

I used one of my favorite images from Wild Rose
'Bella Sleeping'.
I have a thing for cute little 'ellie' stamps and dies.

I stamped and colored in the image with Copics.
Nuvo was added to the flower centers.

The sentiment is from Gina K Designs 'Notes For Mom'.
I punched it out then placed in one of the pieces from
Stampin' Ups hodgepodge  embellishments...
remember those?
I have an entire tin of them to use up!

I want to thank
Send A Smile For Kids for having me....
if you ever need inspiration for a 'kids' card
this is the place to go!!

Hop Hop Hop

It's that time again on April 7th where all the designers from
get together and join in one place for you to see all the creations
and this time it is all about EASTER!!

You can see I went a little crazy with the
and made several.
That's how easy they are to make!!

This first bunny is made from the beautiful 'Mintay' papers.
I did a craft show on Saturday and he hopped right on out of there!
Each bunny has a matching file to cut the envelope!

I just had to do a blue bunny...
look at his pretty polka dot envelope!

Well geez,
I couldn't have just one blue bunny,
so I created a second.

If I have blue bunnies,
then I have to have pink!
I made her pretty little flower!

This next bunny was a special order for a birthday this month.
See... the name might be Easter bunny,
but it works just as good for a birthday and a baby card too!

For fun I added google eyes, pompom noses
and ribbon bows with flowers to all!

The Easter Bunny cut file is a mere $1.50...
can you believe that.
I cut all mine on my Cricut
but it also comes in a PDF file as well.

Thanks for visiting with me and make sure on the 7th to stop by
The Cutting Cafe blog to see ALL the Easter creations!!

Watercolors

Today at our Double D challenge we have a fun theme and it is
Watercolors.
Look at the gorgeous mood board for inspiration!

I did a pretty easy card for this challenge...
easy because I already had it water colored lol!

I used the Manhattan embossing folder from SU
(at least I think that is the name of it ).

It was embossed on watercolor paper
then using Versamark ink and a brayer,
lightly go over the embossed roses
and quickly use embossing powder,
I used white for mine, or use clear.

Then I simply used some TH distress inks and a water brush
and preceded to water color it in.

I stamped a sentiment from
SU's Southern Serenade stamp set.

Next I mixed up a bit of water downed glue
and using a water brush I spattered it on.
SNS Cloud Nine glitter was then sprinkled on the glue.

It gave it just the right amount of sparkle!

I hope you will take the time to see all the gorgeous
watercolor creations from the Double D Design Team
as they are GORGEOUS!!

Floral Cross

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi there my Tutti friends!
Diane here today with you using the beautiful Floral Cross die.

The first card was easily created by using an embossing folder
for the background.
The Floral Cross was die cut from a brown metallic paper,
then a purple ribbon was draped across
and I added a few purchased tiny flowers.

The second card I also used an embossing folder for the background,
but this time I added a sentiment which could be used
for either a sympathy card or an Easter card.
The Floral Cross was cut from a shiny multicolored paper.

I hope you have enjoyed how easily these cards were created!!

A Little Birdie

Its once again time for a new challenge at the
Dies R Us challenge blog
and being the 2nd quarter of the year that means our theme is
'ANYTHING GOES'.

Grab our Badge!

I recently purchased this fabulous die set
Sue Wilson A Little Birdie Told Me.
I pretty much cut everthing from paper scraps,
including the branch which was from a left over piece of
oxide inks on a glossy card stock.

The framed lattice piece is also  a newly purchased set I ordered
and absolutely love!
