Paper Sweeties August 2019 New Release Party!

It's here...Paper Sweeties August Release Day!!!
Today all the new stamps and dies can be purchased in the store
HERE.

The design team has created some gorgeous samples to get you inspired!

For my card I used the new
Cupcakes and Sprinkles stamp and Sweet Cuts matching die set.
There are so many options to create with this new set.

I stamped, then die cut the cupcakes, 
then what I call, double stamped over the
cupcake top for a more 'layered' look....
the cute flower ribbon is part of both the stamp and die set...so CUTE!!

I added a few glitter droplets to each cupcake 
and used a stardust pen as well for the sprinkles.
I added a bow using Creamsicle Seam Binding.

It is also the 7th anniversary/birthday of Paper Sweeties
and a month long of sales and fun you won't want to miss!

Today's challenge at Dies R Us is all about
SPORTS!




I decided to have a little fun with it
and thought totally 'outside of the box'!

Can you guess what I went with?
Yep the Kyle Busch M & M car!!





I die cut my Tutti Designs Sports Car 
first from a package of M & M's
(and a bonus was I got to eat them)
then again from a card stock.

I added the colorful flags on top

and of course the die cut Happy Birthday.

for a 'Nascar' enthusiast !

Paper Sweeties August 2019 New Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi there my Paper Sweeties friends!!
Today is the day for the August Newly Released Stamps and Dies
SNEAK PEEK!!

You are going to love these fun~fun sets!!

I have a Cupcake and Sprinkles kind of day
 with a card full of sparkle-y goodness!!

I stamped my cupcake, then die cut it out.....
same with the pretty flower 'ribbon' trim and colored with Copics.
There are so MANY different cutting and layering and stamping options
with these sets (listed below) that you can create oodles and oodles
of fun celebrations projects and more.
I added a real cupcake liner (mini) for the cupcake background
and used my crimper to created a crimped edge resembling a cupcake liner.

After adding a yellow glitter to the cupcake top,
I wanted even MORE sparkle so added a few
Cookie Dough Sequins!

A new challenge starts today at

The Sisterhood of Crafters and is being hosted by our 'sistah' Terri.

She has chosen the theme of 'Die-namics, (use dies).

Not a hard theme for me since I seem to own second most dies to my

'sistah' (and friend)  the die Queen Darlene...she wins the prize for most dies LOL!

Actually the hard part was deciding WHICH die to use!

I purchased this Memory Box English Rose Bouquet die

several (maybe even a Year) months back

and had never used it.

I also purchased a Laminator  a year ago April (yep that's true)

and decided it was time to 'fire it up'.

I die cut the die from Thermo-web  Toner paper,

then used Deco Foil Rose Gold....

I wish you could see it 'in real life' as it is very shimmery.

I also used one of my newest and favorite dies

Spellbinders Venice Lace Hemstitch Rectangles for the card front/base

from a shimmery card stock Poison Ivory Metallic.

Her is a closer look of some of the shimmer.

Stained Glass Cards

Hi, Diane with you today using a fun and easy 

Tutti Design die Birds Stained Glass

I die cut the die from a black card stock,

then added it to a sticky back paper

then sprinkled a fine white glitter on it,

then colored with my Copics.

This always amazes me how much it really dies look

like stained glass with this technique.

The second card I made a background using some of the pigment powders available,

then die cut the stained glass birds from black card stock

that I had added a 'stick it' paper to.

This allows a 'stickiness' to the back of the die cut...

perfect for those intricate dies like this one.

Then the entire piece was adhered to a Nesting Stitched Rectangle.

Both cards are brighter IRL, but we have watermarks on all our cards

and it dulls them ever so slightly.

It just happens to be Paper Sweeties 7th birthday and we are celebrating with, 
well what else, but BIRTHDAY COFFEE...

I made a shabby chic birthday 'tag' shaped card with a matching envelope.

For the sweet cup I used Paper Sweeties Coffee Yes Please stamp set
and Sweeties Cuts Coffee yes please dies.
The 'Join me for a cuppa' is part of this cute set.

The 'Wishing you the best birthday ever' is from our Paper Sweeties new August 2019 release

'BEST DAY EVER' stamp set which is loaded with sentiments!

It's A Jungle Out There

Today at Double D challenges
there is a fun and a bit 'unique' theme going on!

The theme is 
'It's A Jungle Out There'!

There is also a fun mood board to inspire you.

I had lots and I mean LOTS of jungle type stamps and dies to choose from....
from cutsie to the 'real' thing....
but oh no, not ME,
I had to purchase a die just for this challenge lol!

The die is from Amy Designs Wild Animals.

It threw me off a bit to decide on what color card stock to die cut from.
I had initially thought of either black or brown 
but in the end I went with a dark gray.

The card stock base is from a NBUS package of 'in-color' SU papers (2013-2014),
so am not sure of the exact color (I have had this forever)!

The paper under the die cut itself is from
 Echo Park's Jungle Safari 6X6 paper pad,
which just happens to be our prize this time, 
a pad of this!!



I used Tutti Designs Nesting Banner dies to stamp my sentiment on
which is from the Sparkle N Sprinkle set
'Leo The Lion'.

I added a banana button
(only I could have a banana button right?...lol)
but a long while back (few years actually)
I won a cute little jungle packet from a challenge
which is also where the 'animal' gems came from.
