Fall Door

Designing For The Cutting Cafe

Happy Sunday All!
Today I have a card for The Cutting Cafe using the

In fact not only did I make a Front Door
but the entire team did and tomorrow October 7th
you can see all the awesome doors on
The Cutting Cafe blog HERE.
Every month on the 7th and 21st the Cafe team gets together
on the blog and show lots of creative inspiration...
mark your calendars so you won't miss a thing!!

Our assignment was to make a Fall door,
now how fun is that!!

I used Fall colors for my door and added a flower pot
with a pumpkin, ear of corn and flowers.
Of course it seemed a cat was just a purr-fect addition as well.

The wreath is part of the set and my door says
'My Door is Always open for you'.
I added a few flowers, leaves and a bow.

This was fun to make and I printed out another door for future use.
I did use my Cricut to cut all the pieces, but it also comes in
other file formats, like PDF for those of you without an
electronic machine.

Thanks for visiting...'see ya' later!!

Orange and White Challenge

It's a new start of a challenge theme at
Double D and it is all about orange and white.
Here is the mood board to get you inspired.

Now I am certain most would think of pumpkins right off the bat...
I know I did, then I saw the bottles and thought about a
stamp/die set I had purchased from
'Our Daily Bread' in 2013.....
Wow, I remember when this came out and just 'had to have' it
with a special card in mind....
well the years have gone by and I haven't a clue what I had in mind LOL!

So, I created a simple 'blessings' card which will
come in handy when someone needs a bit of an encouragement.
I know, it is a bit of an unusual card
but it fits the challenge I think!

I first stamped the image (I know hard to see being I used orange ink)
then die cut with the matching dies.

The label is part of the set, it is 'Joy In A Jar'.
I debated where I should put it and decided the front bottle was best placement.

Do you recognize the designer paper?
It is an oldie 'scrap' from SU.

So head on over to Double D and see all the always amazing
creations by the rest of the team and join in with us!!

Kitty Windows

This is my post on the
Tutti Designs blog today.

Hi there, Diane with you  today using one of favorite Tutti dies
'Kitty Window'.
since I have kitties, I am kind of partial to this die.

For my first card, I embossed a cloud background.
cut the die a second time to make plaid kitties,
colored in the leaves
and added some tiny flowers...
pretty easy for a pretty and fun card!

For the second card I just die cut from white card,
added little bows (male and female kitties)
and added a blue card and
then a plaid paper behind that...EASY!!

If you want to see a Halloween card created from this same die
then head on over to the store using the link I have given below!

October Day

Design Team Member At

October 1st.....my favorite month...
it's my birthday month...not until the 13th though...
and it is also the first challenge of the month at

Our theme is Anything Goes...
you can't go wrong there lol!

For my card I used a very favorite die of mine
from Poppystamps 'Stitch Wreath'.
For quite awhile I have had a bit of an addiction for what I call the negative dies,
meaning they don't cut out of your paper but into it.

To create all the colors in my wreath I used Luminarte Splash of color
from the Autumn Brilliance set.
It includes the colors of
Raspberry Wine~Harvest Sol~Desert Clay~Spanish Moss
making a pretty background for my wreath.
It's been a long~long while since I have had these out
and I forget how fun they are.

I stamped the sentiment with Memento Dew Drop Ink Potter;'s Clay...
I am not sure whose sentiment that is..sorry.

Here is a close up of the colors.

Friendship

Today our new challenge at
FRIENDSHIP.

I was all set to create a new card, but I have a few finished ones
I have never posted, like the one below.

It was just sitting here waiting for it's 'debut' moment lol!

I used a pretty doily background and a few of the many many
ephemera pieces I have.
One of my goals this year was to use up as many of these kinds of things
I have in my stash...so far that hasn't worked well...hah!

But it did make for a cute cute card I think.

Head on over to The Sisterhood and see all
the fun and amazing creations from my 'sistahs'!!

Fall Scene

Today I have a card I created for the Impression Obsession challenge
'pumpkin spice' (coffee or pumpkins).

Pumpkin Spice

I used a splatter stencil for my background and lightly stenciled it.

All the dies I used are from Impression Obsession.
wouldn't you love to have a polka dot bushel basket?
I know I would.

It's a simple scene, but actually took a little longer then it looks.
Impression Obsession Dies used are:
Lg. Fence Die149-U
Sm, Leaf Set Die95-D
Pumpkin Patch Die202-G

See you all later!!

Geisha Girl

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today.

Hello Tutti friends!
Today we are showcasing the fun Geisha girl
along with a few other Tutti Designs dies
that work very well with her.

First up is a card I combined three Tutti dies.
Geisha Girl, Oriental Parasol, and Oriental Screen.
The only other thing added is the design paper in he background.

For the next two cards I pulled some fun sentiment panels off the internet
that seemed to fit perfectly to add a bit of fun interest.
The Geisha was cut from white card stock and I added a few red gems,
then she was adhered to layered card stock.

The last card, once again is using the fun sentiment,
cut from black card stock and mounted on layered card stock.

Isn't she fun?  I hope I have inspired you
to give this Geisha girl a try, so many fun and different ways to use her.
