Asian Lotus Flower

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hello Tutti friends I hope your Christmas Holiday was fabulous

and you are now gearing up for a near year
and let's hope it brings us a far better year then the world has seen in 2020!

This is the last card I designed for both Tutti Designs and the
UK Hochanda TC show that aired on October 27th.

I once again combined different Tutti dies to create this card,
four in fact.
I used the Asian Lotus Flower as my focal point and
Cross Stitch Nesting Postage,  Cross Stitch Nesting Square
along with the Hello Word set.

After die cutting the Cross Stitch Nesting square I used
a couple different inks on it and the Asian Lotus Flower as well.
All were layered on a fun designer paper then onto the card base.
For fun Nuvo drops were used in the flower center and I added a few black sequins!

Asian Landscape

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today:

Hello there and Merry Early Christmas!

Hard to believe it is only 3 days away!

I bet you were expecting to see a Christmas card weren't you?
Well I have fooled you lol as this card is far from that!

I created this card for both Tutti Designs and the UK TV channel Hochanda
that aired the Tutti Design Team cards on October 27th...pretty neat right?

This die is Asian Landscape.  Look at all the pretty detail.
Not a lot to say about the card as it is pretty straight forward.
I did emboss a red background,
die cut a Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Nesting Circle from black
and the Asian Landscape die from red
then layered one on the other.

The sentiment was stamped then layered on black card stock.

Banners and Bows

My friend Dar from Dar's Crafty Creations pointed out this challenge
to me at Color Hues and said I should do it, so I did.

I sat down and mass produced these cards in various colors
and these are the blue/green cards!
I did 10 cards in all in various colors, but forgot to photograph
the one I did in purples, I was so excited to send it out I forgot !

I absolutely LOVE this set of stamps~dies~stencils
from The Greetery Banners and Bows set
I sure hope they come out with more sets like these for year round!

There is no coloring involved, everything is done with inks, stamps and stencils,
you can see along the side I was a little carried away with my inking.

Thanks for visiting me!!

Pretty Poinsettias

A new challenge starting today at
Double D and I bet you can guess what the theme is?
Yep, it is POINSETTIA'S!

Look at the pretty mood board to inspire you!
What's it going to be, purple, white, pink or the traditional red?
Plenty of other colors to pick from too!

I have to admit I had a debate with myself to either go with
red or pink.
In the end pink won out!

I used a Memory Box die ( Poinsettia Collage) that came out in 2016.
I finally put it to use, first time.
I got a little creative with it and ended up using a light weight
white card stock to cut two 4" by 5 1/4"  panels at the same time.
I wasn't sure if it would work but with my metal shim
it cut perfectly.

The idea was to use one as a stencil then I could place the other on top
to fit perfectly, and it did!
I used Altenew inks to stencil the colors.

I got my sentiment slightly crooked (ugh) even when lining it up
on my TH platform, it's these OLD eyes of mine
once again playing tricks on me!

I would definitely do this again, maybe in red this time!

Be sure to take a peek at Double D to see what the design team
has to inspire, so many beautiful Poinsettias all in one place!

Winter Wonderland

Design Team Member At

It's the last challenge of the year for Dies R Us
and our theme is Winter Wonderland.

Living in Michigan whenever I hear the words winter wonderland
my mind immediately goes to SNOW.

That is the card I have today, a VERY snowy one!

I die cut the Impression Obsession Snowflake Background
from a metallic white card stock.

The sentiment if Sue Wilson Designs Mini Expressions Let It Snow,
cut from a silver metallic and backed with a black shadow.

Here are the links for the dies I have used.

Because we normally work way ahead,
some of the dies may possibly be 'out of stock'.
If you search for an item, like
snow' for instance, you will be amazed at all that comes up..have fun!

Head on over to the Dies R Us Challenge blog and see all the pretty
inspiration from my teamies!!

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today

Hi Tutti Fans do you all have your Christmas preparations done?
If like me I highly doubt it lol!

Well take a break and look at this pretty die I am
showing today.
This card was created for both Tutti Designs and the
UK Hochanda TV show that aired in the UK on Oct 27th.

This card was simply made
just by die cutting the beautiful
Garden Background die
then using a rainbow foil a toner sheet and a laminator.

Gosh, I wish you could see this IRL as it is gorgeous!

A sentiment strip was added across the top.
What a pretty die this is!
As you can see, it is a full card size.

Charge!

Just for fun I decided to actually play along with a challenge.
The one I chose is:

Tuesday Morning sketches

I had a fun stamp gifted to me by my daughter years ago
and though this isn't the first time I have used it
it has been a very long time it has seen ink so I decided to pull it out!
It makes me laugh every time I look at it
Do you think she was trying to tell me something LOL?

I used papers from a very old paper pad of Martha Stewarts
Frosty Elegance paper pad (2013).
The stamp is from American Art...old!!

I hope you are all staying safe and being creative
as what else can we do right?
On another note I have a dear friend that just lost both her parents
within the last three weeks from the corona virus, so sad
and I can't even hug her!!
It just breaks my heart!

I just noticed I forgot one element from the sketch...
whoops, I am never very good at sketches,
my mind is just one track when it comes to them!!
